Thanks! Not sure I will be playing on it much, I have to get a better place to set it up and get a better a tablet and ways to hold everything, at present I only have that space where I do the steel tip reviews for recording videos so its a faff on setting up the soft tip. But I still have the old Hi Darts board up which was amazing quality but is no longer supported. Its in another place which does not have space to do recording though but I just learned today that you can get an upgrade kit which makes it into a Granboard 132 so who knows I may do that in the future :)
Darren; really nice review. I agree with you that steel tip players might not like this board and the soft-tip scoring. I've been throwing steel tip darts for over 40+ years and at this point wouldn't want to change how I throw and score. Keep the reviews rolling.
I bought the regular sized granboard 3 about a month ago myself. Surprised how much I’m enjoying playing on there. Prefer to play cricket over 501 as it’s hard to get players online to use the split bull and double out rules. It’s def a fair bit easier than a steel tip board but still a good way to play darts while stuck home
Thanks alot Daren I liked that review I've been looking into getting that board just for that reason of the smaller segments to improve my aim when I play league soft tip matches thanks again happy darting 👍
Hello, thanks for the video. Can you measure the distance between the board mounting holes? Need to see if I can hang it on the screws I am using for the granboard 3s
You in the U.S. I guess? there is tons of soft tip boards to choose from there. I also just found out its possible to convert the Hi Darts board to use a Granboard 132 set up, the Hi Darts is probably the best made board I have seen short of buying a full machine but they stopped supporting it with soft ware.
All euro boards are this size, we play tournaments on that size boards all the time, i think american size is not good, like other gran board and lexus...
Really liked this since it came out but don't really need it since I got a normal board already. Here in Croatia all soft tip boards are like that in size , steel tip is really really rare. Also the oche distance is the same as steel tip with outter being 25 and inner 50. Didn't even know there were bigger soft tip boards until I saw it online and saw how much hate they get. Since the board is the same here it's kinda same amount of hard except from the fear of darts not catching.
@@DartsReviewChannel Quite frankly I was surprised when I first saw them. th-cam.com/video/IVRRgzQseEw/w-d-xo.html Machines here look like this and even though I never measured them I'd go as far as to say that segments are actually smaller than on modern stapleless boards.

Happy to see you review a Gran board 👍 Hope we will see you play more on it with a set og darts you like.
Thanks

I bought a couple of Bull's profix wall mount, so I easily can switch between softtip board and steel tip.

Glad it helped! :)
Wish this came in the traditional green/red!
If it did would you get one?
@@DartsReviewChannel sure would
Nice review, hope you don't destroy the board by disassembling it. Stay safe Darren, happy soft darting
Softtip players should all use this to practice, when they go out and play on a pubsofttip the trebbles will seem huge!!

Thanks Darren interesting 🤔 would be good to try 👍 🎯 happy darting 🎯
Cheers Vic 👍
Great review Darren as usual regards john from rep of ireland 😉👍☘🎯
Thanks John 👍😊
Would quite like a shot of this but the price is a bit steep!
Nice review Darren. What you reckon about doing a review on the new Ryan Searle Brass darts 16g ? Ty
Thanks! Not sure about brass darts, I collect vintage ones but dont get much call to review modern ones. :)
Hi,
treble section: 9,17mm steel; 6,38mm soft. what about doubles and bull? Do you have datas?
I just measured them, Double is 6.9mm, 25 is 8.8mm, Bullseye is 11.3mm
@@DartsReviewChannel Thank You very much happy darting!

Damn, I just finished buying a Granboard 3s just a few months ago lol
Man, would love to get one of these but at $300 there’s no way I can do that

This Is the normal board we use in Italy and Europe
Yeah its more popular in Europe as mentioned in video :)

Always makes me wonder why they ever made the ones with the bigger segments?

Are the cheaper soft tip boards any good
Probably best to get a decent one but if just wanting a taste of soft tip I guess the super cheap ones are ok for a trial.
Dartslive 200s is a good option. Half the price, though it’s the style with the larger scoring segments.
Good Review! if youre looking for someone to test some Games, just ask!
Thanks 👍
just looked at the parts for this board. 2 pieces of any segment 6$ kinda steep if you ask me for a little plastic.
Cheaper than a whole new board :)
@@oddbrawl unless you want to change the blue and red combo. then its 284$ extra on top of the board itself.
I was going to buy this but bought the Unicorn Smartboard instead. Wish I bought this one now. The Unicorn Smartboard is shite!!
Seems like the granboard and dartslive home board is the exact same only difference being the software.
can you use just a normal usb plug for the Gran boards or has it got to be a particular plug?
Nope, im using for example one from Apple and its working Out👍🏻
@@lukas1494 that is great mate, cheers for the info
The one I used was from my old OnePlus one mobile, as long as it takes a usb I think it works fine.
@@ewanlivlingstone1759 you‘re welcome buddy:) btw the board is great, i nearly got no bounce outs
I have no interest in soft tips, but it’s cool seeing how advanced boards are getting.
I want one but £235 is way too much.
Be cool for pubs etc
Still good?
I never used it much really.
With the giveaway darts if you keep picking a name intill my name pops up I'd be happy to claim them 🤣🤣🏴
it reminds me i never played softip darts. Chance to change it? Who knows :) But price is ..............ouch. No comment.
They are never cheap though, I think part of the cost of all the software and servers stuff is why

I won a grandboard 132 in a free raffle 😀. Not bad at all but never be as good as a steel tip board
Surely unfair to play online against players woth the 3S with much bigger segments
It is practice! I have a 132 and like the challenge.
looked at these a few times. but my god its pricey.
yes they are :)
The real soft tip, not those kindergarten ones they use widely 😂
The only problem with this board is the amount of sounds it makes, way over the top and annoying
So you basically need to throw 9 darters to beat the Lion? No Thanks!
Looks like it!
So loud...trebles too small....i dont know why is made, what for? We need to learn math playing darts, not easy way..
er its made because there is many countries that are mostly soft tip so many millions of players that want to play at home, common sense really
Europe have this size board for tournaments I thing big size like granboard 3s is stupid
@@kvajeblostari in Switzerland we have American size (3s) and the 132 size in most places. Fun leaugues are layed on 3s sized boards.

Moving to Switzerland soon. Is this board good for home practice? @@gerrithendriks6718
