After visiting my brother on the islands I had a tako eye for a little bit back in Florida. I found a good size one used my D. Wong closed track and the tako decided my shaft didn't belong in the track. It seperated the shaft and split the closed track. Good Vid.
it's definitely 18 pounds atleast. nanko fishing supply store owner in kaneohe caught an 18 pounder in the bay. there are some other big ones in there. lots of 12lbs. and heavier. but this is solid squid braddah. they got a lust for life like no other.

Geeez when I was in Hawaii, Oahu, all I caught was 3 pounders. But we only dove 15 feet.
haha and now im getting to the tako part of vid...it wrapped around my back and took me like 20 mins b4 i could get it off.
i think hawaii tako record is like 12.6 lbs right on man big one!!!! tako in my pic is like 11-1/2 lbs and was not the easiest tako ive grabbed lol.

Do u eat the cudas I live on Kbay and I dive everyday I see cudas all the time I was just wondering if the are good to eat
The small cudas are great eating. Under 5 pounds is great steamed fish
I eat my 34 pounder sauteed it garlic and butter...very good!!
