Just ordered mine today for my 17. Honestly cant wait, i just put my fx flow master on. Should be a great pairing.
definitely gonna sound good ! my setup of the Corsa air intake and my Borla exhaust sounds crazy good. and I get complements all the time !
The factory air intake tract is designed/engineered to cancel noise and make the engine quiet as possible!
True and its sad because i love the nosies it makes !😅
Currently shopping around for a CAI for my 18 5.3. I see K&N, Spectre, Rough Country. Is there a real difference between those brands other than "r&d"? What about sound if you're running a stock exhaust?
This was the sound on stock exhaust my exhaust was installed after the fact as for other brand CAI i dont have that knowledge to share unfortunately i would assume that the difference would be minimal between each
Do you have any problems with your service engine light turning on mines keeps coming on after i clear it and the setup i order from corsa looks a little different the air tube slides into the box rather than having the black and blue sleeve dont really care for it. The hoses that go on to the engine looks pinched in the middle aswell i also put hose clamps on but wont matter if the hose is pinched in the middle thinking about sending this crap back to be honest. Good video tho bud
interesting i know the hoses you have to trim down a little to make not pinch. could buy some more solid ones though having them a bit bent wont hurt as long as it not completely blocked and as for the assembly one side of the intake not having a blue and black connection seems odd you may have a newer model or a missing part . also depends on year of truck and make and model. sorry to hear your having issues the only thing i can say is once you spend the time and get it worked out the truck breaths better and sounds more powerful . also thanks for the positive comment i truly apricate it
Also no i have no issues with the check engine light or any others
Its there to muffle intake sound
But we love the sound 😢😅
Could these be used like a open cold air intake? With the window removed?
Definitely could though idk if that changes the air flow to the point it would need a tune . I wouldn’t think it would but never know
Also the box is rather open already the Area that is covered is there to protect from engine heat and give the intake cold air only
Does the box fit snug at the air circulation opening in the fender wall?
it is rather snug for me , it is flush with the truck openings , sorry for the delay in response! and thanks for watching !
No
The Corsa CAI is a rebadged Volant CAI....it just cost more due to the name.
Sure does look that way lol 😅 its only a few bucks difference so not a big deal
@mrkody24reviews - Do I need to remove the GM air box or can I use the existing one for looks and just add the air filter and filter see through box?
You would have to remove everything as far as i can tell
