Or at least sync with heart rate sensor data you are already connecting in post editing. GPS antennae would be great but would add to weight and also drain battery quicker too.
I suggested making a mic to them a while back, because i could see where this was heading - they didn't really respond. Who knows, maybe they'll surprise everyone but I'm seeing no clues that a mic is on their roadmap at all. I agree - DJI has a real edge here in terms of convenience and integration.
I wish they will copy the Gopro Max with it's 6 onboard microphones for full surround sound. Gopro has done it years ago and nothing has ever been superior yet.
That's an interesting point! The GoPro Max definitely set a high standard with its audio capabilities. It would be great to see DJI step up their game in that area!
I've heard about it, but I'm not sure it's comparing like with like. Looks like interesting hardware but I don't think the software compares - from what I've read and watched anyway. Never had my hands on one.
@@deniss.6205 I still love my X4 and the app that comes with it for easy editing. Qoocam Ultra 3 app just not there at all. Moreover, it's almost squareish , and I love the form factor of the X4 instead to put in my pocket. lens cover protection too.
For the Osmo 360, I would love dual 1/1.3 sensors, 10-bit color (since all Insta360 cameras are 8-bit) and software on the smartphone and pc similar to Insta360's app and Studio, and Osmo Audio connectivity to the DJI Mic 2 and Mic Mini systems.
🙀🙀🙀 O my goodness!!! I can’t keep up!!! Have the Mini Mic kit coming tomorrow. Did buy the mini mic separately first and was somewhat impressed. Great video as always my friend!!! 🐾🐈⬛🐝👏👏👏👍
Good video, the bad thing is that I don't think it will be released for the Christmas season. I hope they release it in the 1st quarter of the year. I'm looking forward to it because I want to combine it with the DJI Mic 2.
If you can't release a big camera by November... you hold it. It seems they focused on other holiday products this year and the Osmo 360, DJI Flip folding drone and a few others will be Q1 2025 (much like the X4 was an early release from Insta360 in 2024. EVERYTHING with the Osmo 360 will depend on the software they release to edit the footage, the secret sauce for Insta360 X4 (and the earlier models) is the excellent (far better than the GoPro version) mobile and desktop software that makes editing 360 a somewhat reasonable task... DJI needs to match or even exceed that software right out of the gate, its not enough to have excellent hardware... we shall see.
I’m not seeing it as game changer. It’s competitive but nothing you mentioned would drive me to order one over the x4. I guess for that niche group that might want to put one on a drone but for everything else do I need a 360 mini camera. I’d prefer bigger with more battery and a screen. But maybe I’m in the minority.
I think the big battle next year will be image quality and lowlight as well as Ai assisted processing. Insta360 has stuck a stake in the ground with their new cloud service too - check out my video on that. They’re doing their own groundwork too. Dji has the audio edge.
@ DJI will most like move quickly up the features ladder to be competitive. But a mini 360 action camera is not something I feel I need. I do a lot of extreme sports but never with 360 in mind. I run with ace pro 2 at the moment. The x4 is on my bike or I use it when travelling a bit. But it really is a gimmicky look and not needed for most activities imho. For me, for DJI to be really competitive they would need to beat the insta360 app. That app for quick framing composing and exporting is the best in the market at the moment. Going from 8k to 12k not a big deal. Going smaller not a big deal. I think upload speed is nice but not a big deal. Anyway let’s see what they do when it’s released.
It's vaporware until released. Just like the gopro v2 camera which is now over year late and probably will not see light of day. You should be using a DJI mic for this :-)
From the history of DJI, the first generation of their products is often full of bugs and defects. I think it's not a wise decision to buy their 360 camera.
It’ll be interesting to see how this all pans out. I’m sure they know the scale of the task ahead with Insta360 working on the 5th generation of their camera while they’re rumoured to be working on their first
Like other 360 cameras - shoot once, and edit later - would have to be positioned very strategically though with some pretty amazing stitching software innovations too. They may need that new google quantum chip...

Do you think they could add gps antena to have included stats? And maybe possibility to connect heartrate sensor??

I hope it has a 1/4", 20 thread so that I could attach it to my Insta360 Bike Computer mount
The mic integration will be the biggest plus for myself. Insta360 need to make a mic or maybe throw some money at rode for a partnership

The good thing about insta360 can be paired with an earbuds

@@PocketCams Omnidirectional sound is overlooked in the 360 cams. An even better step up would be to turn on/turn off selected mics in post.
Well the game has already changed, do you know about Qoocam ultra 3?
I've heard about it, but I'm not sure it's comparing like with like. Looks like interesting hardware but I don't think the software compares - from what I've read and watched anyway. Never had my hands on one.
@PocketCams yeah the software looks atrocious, but the quality surpasses anything consumer out there.

Wouldn’t that be awesome!
What I think will be cool is if DJI launched an attachment similar to the Insta360 sphere they had available for the Air2. That would be epic.
Is there any chance of Osmo Pocket 4 ?
I think it’s highly likely. But probably not until later 2025. I’d have to check the gap between generations 2 and 3
The X4 is awesome. I've been using mine every weekend since I've gotten it. But if DJI makes a 360 camera I very well may have to buy that too lol
I hear ya! The X4 is an awesome camera - DJI has its work cut out - especially with the Insta360 app

Thank you - and have fun with the Mic Mini!
😃👍
Large sensor means 1 inches sensor?
Who knows. There’s a lot to pack in!

Yeah me too - like I said in the video, I reckon the earliest will be Feb 2025 - but who knws?
Oh my god, I am so going to order this cam
It looks pretty cool, eh?
@ looks and sounds amazing
My friend... Change your title and I promise your 5000 views. DJI Osmo 360 versus Insta360 X4.
It's a good thought - though it's kind of doing ok right now...

Agreed - the insta360 app is best in class
Pls release today…drop any of the x2/3/4 and lense instantly crack.
I don’t think any DJI version will solve that issue

Got a Mic Mini - watch out for videos coming soon :)
And yeah, I know - but I did say it was speculation on my part in the video :)

360 on a Mavic 3…..
It’d be pretty awesome to see!
why would you need to put the dji 360 to a dji drone???

Didn't I reply to this? Weird.
