I cannot believe this is here - yesterday I thought about this movie for the first time in years. I couldn't find it anywhere back then. Today I got a push that Toro uploaded it here! You read my mind!
I'VE SEEN THIS Before! This was Infamous with Barefooter Fans in the early days of the internet and a lot of older guys talked about seeing it live and being obsessed. Thank you for saving and sharing this, you are truly a treasure to the community.
I guess that guy would be a creep by todays' standards but hey this was the 90s after all - things were different and likely more relaxed too in those times 😅 At first i wondered if this was even foot-related in the first place and if that's actually a deviation from your usual content...but then came 8:30, holy sh*t! 🎉👀
It's a coming-of-age story. It was a short story from the early 60s, the movie is from 1996. It's basically about chivalry and the consequences of not thinking things through. I think the fact the girls are barefoot is used to say they were strong characters, bold, maybe even sassy. Put it in context of New England in the early 60s. Very high class, clean cut, wear a shirt and tie to mow the lawn. (Dead serious.) Going barefoot there at that time was scandalous. They didn't have NSNSNS signs, because no one would have dreamt of doing it! The cashier is smitten, stands up for them, quits, and they don't even notice. Now he's out of a job and has no money. What's he going to do? What's he going to tell his parents? Should he have thought this through differently?

“Queenie” is portrayed by Amy Smart who is a barefooter in real life. She is featured in the movie “The Earthing Movie”.

appreciate it
I remember reading this in High School. No idea someone made a movie. Nice touch on the director's part making sure their feet were dirty.
Thanks for sharing Toro!
great video and filming. thank you for this
I don’t blame Sammy for quitting. A group of girls have every right to walk in their bare feet.
Mrs. Oschmonek, ALF's neighborns...
8:30 greatness
What's movie's name?
A&P (a grocery store chain)
