I can even imagine that future episodes might see her being corrupted by the peacock's miraculous, causing her to pull out the feathers the more painful they are (I remember the peacock being broken when she wore it, so I hope I remember right :P)
Yeah, i really like the feather-pulling idea too. I also think it’s interesting because irl sometimes birds pluck feathers off themselves due to stress, which could reflect something about Natalie and where she would be at that point in the story
This redesign is so sick!!! I also *love* the idea of her plucking the feathers from her arms in order to make monsters! Like maybe the feather knife could even serve as a decoy weapon, like the heroes think that's the source of her powers so they steal it but then... she laughs and plucks a feather from shoulder that then transforms into a monster! So much potential with this design. I really like that she looks majestic but also like an actual threat (the latter i think is somewhat missing from her show design, which is weird cuz her concept design does look more intimidating, the length of the skirt really makes a difference i think).

Imagining Mayura standing next to Hawkmoth and then suddenly huffing, Hawkmoth asks what's wrong and she speaks about how one of her feathers has come loose. She plucks the feather and looks to Hawkmoth who gives her a nod before she looks at the feather and lightly blows on it, letting it fly away as it turned a corrupted dark purple shade.
When you think about it them making Natalie boring is actually very accurate to female peacocks in nature, the males look fabulous and ott to attract the females and the females are muted and boring so they can protect there chicks the thing that doesn't make sense is how they made her look like a grown up ladybug but anyway I like your version of her! She actually looks like the boss's assistant and not some middlemanager
I love it so much! And I can imagine Mayura would move fast and confuse her opponents because of the design of her costume. So, one thing I absolutely love is watching how different TH-camrs have different ideas regarding the Miraculous redesigns. You and another in particular called callimara are my favorites in this front cause you guys are so different but yet your stuff is so great. Callimara does things in a more show accurate feel, her stuff's a lot more contained and easier to animate, but you are completely balls to the wall sometimes in the best way possible. Your stuff could easily be its own thing entirely and I love it, here especially. I love the different ways TH-camrs portray how they'd do these because it proves there is no objectively right or wrong way to go about things. It's like a living documentary on how great and varied art expression is and I'm here for it.

I'm a sucker for the overlapping necklaces, she's so pretty I'm in love! Wonderful job with her, I think you improved her civilian design so much. Her dress looks like swirling paint and it's really nice, the design does feel a little crowded, but peacocks are like that, so it works out.
The fact you are able to make a design that is loud but not obnoxious is impressive :D I love what you did with both designs it gets my monkey brain really motivated!

Nathalie's hair always reminded of a helmet with how stiff it looked. It's the type that would feel rock hard and crunchy. Edit: Her villain dress reminds of 'Starry Night' by Vincent Van Gogh and Gustave Klimt's artystyle, and the combination just.... *chef's kiss*
I honestly enjoy these redesigns, mainly due to the fact that ever since I've been watching your redesign series, it's actually has helped me with my character designs and with my color schemes. In fact I can happily say that I've started writing my very first story that I plan on completing and thanks to you, I have been having fun with doing research towards my character designs!

Was rewatching this video, and hearing you talk about Nathalie's hair made me realize something. I think Nathalie might actually be a redhead. Proof of this is in the episodes, Representation and Conformation, where when Nathalie is sick and dying, the only part of her that is gray is where her red streaks were, but the black part (aka where her roots would be) of her hair is unchanged. This could mean the red part of her hair is her natural hair color, and the black parts are dyed.
Your designs are wild, like, the miraculous team clearly didn't thought about nathalie's personality when making mayura's design, but you not only thought about her personality, but also her conflicts, and the thing about she looking like emilie's portrair? I LOVE IT

I personally don’t like the idea of Natalie have a crush on Gabe. If this show was rewritten, I like the idea that Natalie worked with Adrian’s mom. Where she managed Emilie’s schedule and such, but also developed an amazing friendship with her. She could then meet Gabe through Emile and find out about the miraculous then. But when everything went wrong and Emile went into a coma, she could actually have a reason to help Gabe get her back. Idk just my take on it.
i absolutely LOVE the jacket and hair you designed. the blue and yellow color palette you have fits so well!! personally i would’ve made her leggings a solid color, mainly to make it less busy and so the jacket is the main focus, but even so the leggings are beautiful the design also reminds me of starry night a bit cause of the colors and swirls, which fits well funny enough since it was meant to express van gogh’s declining mental state which parallels the peacock miraculous’ effect on the wearer and their declining physical health from using it idk if it was intentional or not but bravo anyway lol

i really enjoy the effort you put on your work and how easy i can get along in your videos, i usually watched them every time i draw something or do some work. Miraculous ladybug is a mess and it's nice seeing what could've been if it were good (it baffles me that even the designs are not great). Still, great job.

I think what the original Natalie's design was going for a was a more plain/emotionless person who's trying to keep an uptight and professional air about them for formalities sake while hiding their true feelings(stress from work and love for Gabe). With that though, I feel like the Peacock Miraculous should kind of bring that out of her more, as it is the Miraculous of Emotion(I feel like Personification would be better but eh). Mayura's design is beautiful, but I wish we got more drama, more expression, more flamboyance, which is why I like your design alot.

I recalled in one of your previous videos that if you’d ever redesigned Mayura you’d take inspiration from the Albino Peacock and I was curious to see how’s you do it, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you merged both albino and male peacock coloring into the look. Natalie looks so pretty in her office look, and Mayura looks scary beautiful and I seriously can get over your interpretation of her, thank you so much Loves I can’t wait to see more of your work in the future 🥲💖 P.S. I would love to try and cosplay as your Mayura but the wavy patterns and intricacies of it all is way over my head I need to study more 😤🪡

Nathalie redesign gives me Bayonetta vibes. Especially her anti-hero? Design because while Bayonetta design is supposed to be a butterfly too. It gives me bird vibes especially with her long black hair in the first game. Also I got to be honest the reason I like Nathalie is because of her glasses what can I say girls with glasses are hot af. Hanji from Attack on Titan, maki from jujutsu kaisen, again Bayonetta, Ghoulia from Monster High (underrated best girl), Roberta from Black Lagoon (she is fine af). Glasses are just cool to wear aesthetic wise. I mean not to the people who actually needs glasses usually people now and days just wear them as if they’re accessories.
9:23 I don't think the peacock turns your skin purple, I'm pretty sure it's makeup. Not to sure about the eyes though. Contacts, perhaps? If i had to change how the miraculous behave with said owner using love art's logic. Here's how i would go. For changing between alignments. It would have the user being surrounded in said magical aura depending on the miraculous ability. For the patterns with the hero outfits. The outfits would fit the person's taste. As well as going Tokyo mew mew or precure kira kira ala mode by having some animalistic features. Villains outfits on the alignment fits 4 things, 1. Their personality, 2. Who they are. 3. Their villain motivation. And 4 being their animal. Something I'd like to note is that their transformation would be less magical and more painful, kinda like how ninjago's garmadon was kinda possessed by the over lord. Their body would look more anthropomorphic animal as well as their skin changing color.. I'd keep the instrument weapons but use owl house bard magic logic and have the sound waves be the reason why they get hurt
Actually Nathalie is a *very* important character. But honestly they really didn't plan her to be. Like in the "Gabriel seen by Nathalie" she said her feelings for Gabriel is changing into love. Yet in "passion" it's clearly she has been in love even before taking the job. Her , Gabriel and Emillie like used to be friends. Which may be why she didn't try to get between them. She does care for Adrian cuz rn she's doing everything for him instead of Gabriel. Tho I do think she wasn't planned to be this way cuz the past seasons and this one just don't add up. She's constantly changing each season ( ╹▽╹ ) *(Yet I just love her 🥲)*
I don’t know why, but I can’t help but think that she’s so colorful and has smudges and seems to be pointing in the wrong direction because her brooch is broken and that’s why her transformation is crooked.
Natalie is the reason that Gabriel has the miraculous to begin with and I believe it was said by one of the writers that Natalie and Gabriel have known each other since they were younger so they probably known each other since they were kids I believe but that's just a speculation but they've known each other way before Gabriel even knew Adrian's mom and she was the reason that Gabriel got the peacock and the butterfly miraculous I believe Natalie is maybe in a situation similar to Marinette where she's like Gabriel for several years but since she knew she couldn't be with him like she wanted she set up for being by his side as his assistant and helping him achieve his goals and she figured that would make her happy and I believe she does know about his wife and that's why she's helping him
I am a writer, not the best but still a writer and when I saw those designs...I AM BEGGING ON MY KNEES FOR YOU TO ALLOW ME TO USE THESE DESIGNS IN A REWRITE I AM TRYING TO DO
Natalie’s villain look is beautiful but at the same time, I can’t help but feel like the colors should be more dull just for the fact that female peacocks are fuller compared to the males. That and maybe it could be used to portray her unrequited feelings (her sadness)

Oh my goodness this past week was been TORTURE trying to wait for this video to drop and it didn’t disappoint! You did my girl Natalie justice with this redesign (Civilian and Hero/Villian look!). I recalled in one of your previous videos that if you’d ever redesigned Mayura you’d take inspiration from the Albino Peacock and I was curious to see how’s you do it, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you merged both albino and male peacock coloring into the look. Natalie looks so pretty in her office look, and Mayura looks scary beautiful and I seriously can get over your interpretation of her, thank you so much Loves I can’t wait to see more of your work in the future 🥲💖

Nathalie redesign gives me Bayonetta vibes. Especially her anti-hero? Design because while Bayonetta design is supposed to be a butterfly too. It gives me bird vibes especially with her long black hair in the first game. Also I got to be honest the reason I like Nathalie is because of her glasses what can I say girls with glasses are hot af. Hanji from Attack on Titan, maki from jujutsu kaisen, again Bayonetta, Ghoulia from Monster High (underrated best girl), Roberta from Black Lagoon (she is fine af). Glasses are just cool to wear aesthetic wise. I mean not to the people who actually needs glasses usually people now and days just wear them as if they’re accessories.

I need to say your design work never disappoints, with every video I feel like I'm learning something new about fashion, which is really helpful since one of my weak points when it comes to designing characters is the clothing, my designs always tend to be too plain. Quick question, what resources do you recommend for learning more about different fashion styles, the only sources I have for fashion inspiration is Google images and a small book I was gifted years ago so I would love to hear yours

If i had to change how the miraculous behave with said owner using love art's logic. Here's how i would go.
For changing between alignments. It would have the user being surrounded in said magical aura depending on the miraculous ability.
For the patterns with the hero outfits. The outfits would fit the person's taste. As well as going Tokyo mew mew or precure kira kira ala mode by having some animalistic features.
Villains outfits on the alignment fits 4 things, 1. Their personality, 2. Who they are. 3. Their villain motivation. And 4 being their animal. Something I'd like to note is that their transformation would be less magical and more painful, kinda like how ninjago's garmadon was kinda possessed by the over lord. Their body would look more anthropomorphic animal as well as their skin changing color.. I'd keep the instrument weapons but use owl house bard magic logic and have the sound waves be the reason why they get hurt
Actually Nathalie is a *very* important character.
But honestly they really didn't plan her to be. Like in the "Gabriel seen by Nathalie" she said her feelings for Gabriel is changing into love. Yet in "passion" it's clearly she has been in love even before taking the job. Her , Gabriel and Emillie like used to be friends. Which may be why she didn't try to get between them. She does care for Adrian cuz rn she's doing everything for him instead of Gabriel.
Tho I do think she wasn't planned to be this way cuz the past seasons and this one just don't add up. She's constantly changing each season ( ╹▽╹ ) *(Yet I just love her 🥲)*

Natalie is the reason that Gabriel has the miraculous to begin with and I believe it was said by one of the writers that Natalie and Gabriel have known each other since they were younger so they probably known each other since they were kids I believe but that's just a speculation but they've known each other way before Gabriel even knew Adrian's mom and she was the reason that Gabriel got the peacock and the butterfly miraculous I believe Natalie is maybe in a situation similar to Marinette where she's like Gabriel for several years but since she knew she couldn't be with him like she wanted she set up for being by his side as his assistant and helping him achieve his goals and she figured that would make her happy and I believe she does know about his wife and that's why she's helping him

Natalie’s villain look is beautiful but at the same time, I can’t help but feel like the colors should be more dull just for the fact that female peacocks are fuller compared to the males.
That and maybe it could be used to portray her unrequited feelings (her sadness)
I might sound way too dreamy for saying this but I would really want to do an art trade (basically I draw your art, you draw my art) with you, bcuz your art is beautiful and deserves even more attention! You deserve more subs!
