Entrance to this Palaruvi waterfall is located just 13 Kolometer away from the Thenmala eco-tourism Centre in Aryankavu route, and its ticket counter is just 300 meter's inside the gate.
We have to park our vehicle in their parking area near the ticket counter and take the entrance ticket from here. INR 70 is the ticket charge for Palaruvi waterfalls for adults, while it is INR 30 for children. This entrance ticket charge for Palaruvi includes the up-and-down bus fare from here to the Palaruvi waterfalls area, which is operated by the Kerala Forest Department. Palaruvi Waterfals are located 4 km away from here and require 7 to 8 minutes by bus through this forest.
This is the point from which we have to trek another 300 meter's to reach the bottom of the Palaruvi Waterfalls. That's why these Palaruvi waterfalls are called easily accessible waterfalls in Kerala.
In the same way, we have facilities for dress-changing for ladies and kids. The bathing areas for men and women were also naturally separated with big stones. Another point we noticed was the assistance given by the supporting staff over here. It goes beyond words.

Palaruvi waterfalls won't allow tourists if the water flow is higher, and you have to cross-check with their office if you are coming in the rainy season. The same way, if the flow is less, they will allow tourists to take baths under the main falls.
After spending 20 to 30 minutes over here at these Palaruvi waterfalls, we started our return journey. The best time to visit Palaruvi waterfalls is in the afternoon, as it faces west, so we can take super photos with good sunlight. The timing of the Palaruvi waterfalls is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and we have to leave the falls before 5 p.m.
