    This is the best explanation anyone has given. My previous attempts were exactly as you described it at the 4:00 mark. I had hit that psychological barrier and wasn’t giving it enough gas. I wondered if if were RPMs or something else. You’ve described this the exact way someone like me needed it to be described.

      I just bought a street triple R after owning a Honda grom as my first bike, looped the grom maybe 3 times from learning the wheelie and let me say after my first try on the triple I was already getting the front pointed up at the moon, grom made it so much easier to comfortably do clutch ups cause I remember when I got on a mt09 before owning the grom and that bike almost killing me now I can actually wheelie comfortably it’s amazing

    I've had my '09 GSX-R 600 for 6 weeks and 2,700 miles. I've watched every Wheelie Tutorial out there, but yours is by far the most comprehensive. Thank you! I'm only doing hops and barely getting the forks fully extended, but I try to practice on every warm day I have. I think I dump the clutch too fast and the bike just doesn't go anywhere. I'll get it soon enough!

    • @Lessoninablessing
      @Lessoninablessing 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      NHH223 yeah just make sure u give it more gas (before) u dump the clutch. Thats what really makes it get up. Giving it ⛽️ gas literally. once everybody learns their own bike and learns what rpm range (your) bike gets up then after that it’ll get Easier and easier. I was riding a Kawasaki ninja 600 and after i started focusing on what rpms MY bike got up to then it got super easy. I learned in only like a week and after that it got easier and easier.... but I literally practiced everyday just about for 3months straight. Now I believe with no doubt i can literally do wheelies on (any) bike because it becomes second nature after u learn the best rpm ranges that a bike comes up on.

Actually, I was only succeeding once every ten attempts and was unable to pinpoint my error. Considering I ride a Gixxer 250, I had simply believed it was the bike.
    When I push the throttle and almost simultaneously and quickly release the clutch, the bike jumps practically every time, as I figured after viewing your video.

On day 1 I already managed to lift it off the ground just a little bit. On day 2 it lifted even more. Today I tried clutch wheelies, and one time it went unexpectedly high (in reality just about 10cm) and I was scared but very happy! I am going to continue learning! Keep it slow, brothers! So basically the movement is like downshifting but without shifting any gears. You rev and pull in the clutch and then let the clutch out in one one movement. If you added clicking down a gear, you just downshifted (maybe a bit aggressively but still downshifting).

    I’m just risking to do wheelies on my bike now , a gsxr k1 600 . Lots of power , but I just roll onto the gas in first gear either come off the gas or hit the front break enough to compresss the forks and come onto the power hard and shift into second .
    But I’m only barely doing it as I use my bike to get to work . And I don’t want to ruin a original k1 gsxr 600 fairing and have to pay to redo the bike for a wheelie ….. risk vs reward isn’t there for me .
    But doing a wheelie is the last form of complete ownership of the bike . I know what he does every time I turn him on . He’s a let of me …. But I’ll never own him till I can keep that front wheel from dropping
    Ps at 3:48 your completely right , sometimes I clutch in rev and poo myself and bottle to clutch dump , and end up just rolling back onto the power like I didn’t plan a wheelie haha

    Im 57 and have been riding on and off since 1977. I didn't ride for almost 10 yrs. Now I have a 2021 ZX-14. The technology has improved so much since I last rode. I am not interested in riding wheelies but I don't want to close the throttle and slam the front end down because it scares me. I had a ZX-11 long time ago and I could hold the wheelie until it drifted down on it's own. But this bike is so much more powerful I am struggling to contain it.

    To wheelie is not only about lifting the front tire. In my opinion you can just properly control a wheelie WITH THE USE OF THE BACK BRAKE, so you can get higher than balance point and do wheelies just endless because behind balance point you will become slower not like him faster but without the use of the brake you will just crash.

      @odi_de_podi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The clutch it literally doing it's job during this manoeuvre.. you could say the same thing about changing gears using the clutch. Even not using the clutch wears the clutch. Also clutch plates are cheaper then gearboxes

    Hi there! I’ve an 11 model R1. I’m using B mode, 1st gear, from very slow speed like close to 30 to try to lift it. But each time I power it enough the rear tire skids to the side. Is it because my tire is too worn out/slippery? Is getting a new tyre a primary consideration for practicing to lift it or is it my technique that’s wrong?

    • @sportrider89
      @sportrider89  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Have to be in the highest power mode. Many bikes with power modes don't allow it in lower modes.

    I bought a dirt bike just to learn how to do wheelies!!!It is way different let me tell you..I can ride a short wheely on the dirt bike and am not scared at all but when it comes to my 600 it’s a different animal AT FIRST..The riding style feels to aggressive on the street bike at first but then you start playing with the wheely in a higher gear like 3rd for starters and get use to the bike barely coming up and then you will see how much throttle you have to give the bike when it’s in a higher gear..Then after that start working the gears down to 2nd and practice there,and then go to 1st gear..that’s how I learned and I’m not scared of the power of the street bike anymore..
