I'll admit, when the talk was Tank vs Garcia vs Haney, I thought Haney was the lesser talent of the three. After Haney's last couple fights I don't think I could have been more wrong.
Don’t feel bad as a Haney fan, I felt the same way. Not knocking him but he was kind of the middle child. Doesn’t have power like Tank and doesn’t have the defense like Shakur. But dude is smart and dedicated and he is def going after the big fights. I was highly impressed when he dismantled Regis.. I liked Regis and had been following him for awhile so I knew dude was tough, but made him look completely outclassed.

Devin Haney got outboxed by an out of prime Loma who is small for 135. And Loma in many peoples' eyes lost to Ortiz the fight before. Loma imho beat Devin 7-5. Did you just forget Devin in the corner telling his dad why has Loma figured me out? Regis was out of prime as well and in many people eyes lost to Zorrilla the fight before. Devin is a pfp fighter no doubt and has accomplished great things, but let’s calm down bro

I think this is going to be more competitive than people think. Garcia's hand speed may give Haney problems. I have Haney winning by UD, i would be surprised if Garcia pulls off the upset. When can happen once in the ring.

The less I hear from Haney's mouth, and the more I see of his fists, the better. He is a fantastic boxer (even though I think he lost to Loma), but his personality is just terrible. Him and his old man are the epitome of cringe. Maybe even worse than Teo and his old man, at least with them they are the type of cringe you can laugh at. The Haney's just make my lip curl. This was always the plan. The wild card seems to have been the Tank fight given Ryan had made clear he was going up. It’s rare to see a guy win the fight before they move up and for obvious reasons. Haney is the real deal no doubt about that. But bc this isn’t going to be settled by power, Ryan is a lot stiffer a fight for Haney than lol seen to realize but that’s just IMO. Haney is just to productive for literally everyone and while I think Ryan is going to improve with age, he’s not slick enough to offset this version of Haney at this weight. It’s going to be a great fight as Ryan’s chin will not be a question mark. Not that I’m saying it’s weak but this is a fight where he can have a fantastic account for himself and lose but not lose too much in terms of progress. But he’s got everything to gain. If he’s shut out which is possible well that’s a genuine nightmare for him but I don’t think his camp thinks that’s in the cards. I’d agree. If he can take 2 rounds of tank, he can maybe take 4 over the distance . with Haney. And maybe that’s asking a lot. But I just wanna see him in there and let his hands fly with no pressure. That loss is really going to relax him I’m sure when he looks back in 5 yrs he’ll have appreciated it as it opens doors to take more risks. Nonito and manny come to mind.
ryan's offense is what shines but his defense lacks big time n tank as well as few others exposed it. Haney will take advantage of that. Idk if Ryan has enuf time learning new defensive style in time for haney. He needs few fights to perfect it. Going against haney while learning a new defensive style is gonna teach ryan for sure but I rather have ryan fight him after few more fights

I believe that there is 1 for Haney that gives him a 115-113. Loma went to the hospital as a precautionary measure. Haney lost the fight, casual.

As a hardcore sweet science scholar 👨🏫 for over 25 years . Here is the truth…..Ryan is sadly not on the level of his generation. 3 coaches now with Reynoso, Gousean, and now Derick James. The kid can’t retain anything that he learns from any of coaches so far. He’s 25 and not even a world champion yet. Great hand speed but that’s it. He pretty face to sell PPV. Haney win by KO stoppage or UD. I really thought we would see more from this kid, it a real shame he hasn’t applied himself and is more Interested in social media. People will see this in the next couple years, and will realize boxing is 2nd and the Hollywood lifestyle is 1st in his life.
