Poor Lunar. I'm surprised Jack didn't wake him up. He's supposed to protect Lunar. (that actually would have been kinda funny, Jack waking Lunar up from a nightmare and Lunar clinging to Jack from how shaken up he was, and Jack just holding Lunar til he calms down.)

That would be freaking funny I'd love to see that that would be awesome. Although I don't think Jack was exactly programmed to wake lunar up when he's having a nightmare he was just programmed to protect the lunar if he is in physical Danger. He doesn't know anything about nightmares or dreams he doesn't have a true consciousness.

It’s interesting how Lunar is starting this next chapter of his character development by literally looking at the man in the mirror. After his old self told him “Grow up, you’re not a kid” this taught Lunar how to urge himself on to be more accepting his shortcomings and understand that he has a long way to go as well as take to heart the advice and support of his family as evident by him taking deep breaths just like Earth taught him. Great episode and storytelling 😁👍
The fact Lunar got some comfort from Sun at the end is a bit touching yet sad in a way. He knows Sun will always love him because he knows that's who sun is.
It's what he needed the most. An ear to listen to. With sun saying "you should stop lying to yourself."
(I take it as Sun saying stop manifesting these lies in the dreams to tell Lunar things that aren't true and also in the real world.)
That and his old self telling him some harsh truths were my favorite part!
At least Lunar was aware enough to know it was nightmares he was dealing with in this episode. Poor fella, he really needs his dearest Spigot back! He's no less if he gains comfort from cuddling with a beloved toy!

I was scared for Lunar at the begging but at the end I'm so happy that he'd claimed to not be a little kid, so hopefully after this he can begin the process of healing his wounds with Earth.
Lunar deserves so many hugs and so much support, honestly. I'm proud of himself for realizing he can't keep hiding but gotdang, this felt like a hit below the belt when he's already been down.

Seeing all the “old character designs” brought SO MUCH NOSTALGIA!!!
The first minute or so felt exactly like an interaction I would have with my little sister.
Everything after that feels like going into a panic attack, starting to calm down only to have someone begin yelling at you, then freak out even more before finally calming down by crying to yourself in bed.
Everything they're saying just hits so close to home. It's sad and it's scary, but that's how things go sometimes.
Cue the dancing dragon.
I most defiantly cried, but in the end felt happier than when it started. Peaceful, even.

Good to see Earth and Lunar have made up now and hanging out again, a shame though that as soon as she left Lunar starts having a horrible nightmare. I figured Eclipse would be a really big part of his nightmare, the fact 2 different versions of him appeared really say a lot. Then there was the moment Gemini appeared, I knew what they'd say would be messed up but I still dreaded the words they'd say. Sad to see versions of Monty and Earth fear Lunar because of what he did, definitely a really disturbing and cruel dream..
But then his 'old self' appeared, I was afraid he was gonna be cruel like the rest, but he actually went and encouraged himself in a way to try to conquer his fears. Sun appearing was a little finicky, but Lunar handled him rather well, feel like he got his resolve there. You got this Lunar! (And I'm sure the Dancing Toothless Dragon thought the same thing! lol.)

Analysis time!
So, it's obviously clear that Eclipse would be apart of this, since he was like, 90% of Lunar's trauma. Both Eclipse in Solar Flare's body and Eclipse in Sun's body showed up, because he was in those forms during the worst of Lunar's trauma. The first october takeover and Lunar's death. And then we have Gemini, who he's obviously afraid of losing. He thinks that Gemini hates him for messing up, and that he's a disappointment. Then Earth and Monty show up, other people Lunar's afraid of losing. He thinks that Earth and Monty are still afraid of him after he killed Eclipse. Then Old Lunar shows up after Eclipse leaves, in a way, encouraging him to not wallow and cry in the corner. And second to last, Sun shows up, and he actually is the only one who hasn't antagonised Lunar. Lunar most likely feels that Sun is the only one he can trust after everything that had happened. He knows that Sun won't hate him, and feels comforted by that. And lastly Toothless shows up. Why? ADHD.
(Still though, that part with Sun at the end made me fricking tear up, I swear-)
Lunar will always be eating them chips and I’m here for that! 😌
This was such a well done nightmare sequence. Perfectly tying together all of Lunars traumas and fears. And the moment where his old self showed up oof

poor Lunar. I literally almost cried. Also, ADULTS CRY AND YOU CAN BE A KID WHENEVER YOU WANT TO BE A KID. You never have to grow up. Enjoy being a kid. Also, Lunar, it's amazing character growth, but you never have to be afraid to be a kid. Sure, you have to grow up someday, but you can always be a kid at heart.

Jackal Moon is my favorite person in in this show and the sun and moon show we turn into the darkness
Poor Lunar, having to relive a lot of painful memories there and one them being his past self - but I'm glad it strengthened his resolve to get better and that few moments with Sun at the end was sweet. But he should remember it's okay to cry and be sad, it's better to let it happen and then try and reason it out.
