This kit is absolutely amazing. I just finished building mine, took about 10ish hours. So worth it. Its enormous and Just looks so good. Also, if you don't want him to do the splits, put him on any sub-grippy surface. A mouse pad or paper or things like that work great.
Anakin Skyobiliviator well in the original mobile suit Gundam series, Char Aznable is truly Casval Deikun, son of Zeon Deikun who is hunting the Zabi family who murdered his father to take power and control the principality. That is why it is so ironic
Haha, I'll probably end up getting both xD but for now I'm seriously on the fence. The Sazabi is almost PG level, such an amazing looking kit :D I love the RG!
Had mine in the backlog for months after I got it in march/april this year. Finally built it and I adore it. Some minor issues where some of the panels on the back of the legs don't line up perfectly but overall this was an AMAZING build. Also comparing it to the RG I built a couple of months ago I much prefer the MG but both kits are great in their own respect. I just prefer the size, proportions, stickers, and accessories on the MG.
@@carenthusiast9255 Both of my kits are still holding up fantastic, even after a moderate amount of handling. I do think the MG will be more susceptible to sagging/looseness since it's so much bigger and heavier though, so caution is advised.
I actually have my kit posed on a action base up on the air . The kit holds poses very well. This kit is heavy but it can be displayed in dynamic ways.
It’s Casval Rem Deikun! Also, the shoulder connection only works in it’s ‘Red Comet’ Mode since the arm attachment is hampered by the sectioned armor on the arm.
I tried using the waterslides for the forehead camera and mono eye and for the life of me could not get them to stay on the plastic. I eventually gave up and just used a metallic green Gundam marker, but that doesn’t make it any less frustrating. The red stickers on the shoulders I had no issues with, mine all lined up perfectly and look beautiful.
Isn't that transformation simply because the Nu Gundam Ver. Ka was given one, due to the Psycho frame? I was pretty certain they said in Char's Counterattack that both Sazabi and Nu were sporting the Psycho frame technology. I guess they decided that since Unicorn transformed to expose its psycho frame, they needed to retcon that feature into the Gundam that started the Psyco frame trend, and its nemesis like-wise.
I have this on my shelf. One hell of a kit, looks amazing towering over my other kits. But how do are you able to put all of the water stickers on, i find it hard just to cut them out. I mean, their placed so close together. If you could tell me your secret, that would be great.
Dear Jabman, thank you for the review. I would like to ask how did you apply the big decal on to Sazabi's left shoulder ? Did you use decal solution or mark softer because the surface is not flat ? I just finished decaling the body and feel a little worried for the left shoulder part. Thx. :-)
I used both a decal bonder and then a topcoat when finished, believe it or not that decal is surprisingly easy to do, its some of the smaller ones I had issues with.
I’m actually working on a custom paint job build for the sazabi, my idea was to paint the inner frame cold steel put gloss on all the black parts the outer will be hot rod red and the silver pieces will be painted red to make it look like it has psycho frame
These are good however these days there are add on packs from armour to weapons and wings and even projecting weapons did they mention photoetch upgrade ?
Hey Jabman! I watched this review of yours on this Sazabi, and I loved it and I want to have one soon so I want to ask if for example, it says free shipping (on amazon) but on the name it says "japan import". Am I going to pay extra for it? hope you reply soon :)
Was finally able to ge this Absolute Unit last year. He's a BIG BOI and i really enjoyed the build. I mainly got him to go with the Ver KA Nu i got as one of my first Gunpla kits but i like the Sazabi more despite his hands holding his guns in a weird way.
Hey Jab, will you ever give Third party kits a Try, like that one Company's 1/100 Nightingale? or do you lump that into Knockoffs in the "Never to be purchased"
don't really consider it a knockoff since it is an original design, but that being said you really don't get the quality for your cash with those kits,
So how far do you consider a kit going before it's a Knockoff? is it only Straight Remolds like Prime92's GHD Freedom, or does stuff like that remolded version and those weird Chinese robot kits that are based loosely on Bandai designs agree with your tastes?
Great review as usual. However as an FYI there are two things you forgot to mention. First there is a slot in the center of the axe that allows you to put a beam saber blade in it. Second you can hook up the Sinanju's bazooka to the long rifle. For me that's the best weapon to have displayed on this is the axe with the beam in the center. Had a ton of difficulty getting mine to hold the shotgun and the long rifle. It also can go onto an action base but it will topple over unless you connect three of the square pieces to the octagonal part of the action base.
hi mr jabman, love your video but can you help me with a little dilema, ive only build 4 MG in my life and i was wondering whats best for my skill lv, a MG Sazabi Ver Ka or Full Armor Ver Ka ?
Aji Sykes Why not save up and buy MG instead of a lot of HGs? It's more rewarding to buy a few awesome MGs than a lot of HGs, but then again it's personal preference.
Absolutely love this kit but those funnels were definitely a pain. I wish the bulb at the end of the hands was rounded as opposed to flattened on the ends. Jabman025 you'll probably never see this but I lol'd when your model did the splits, my Sazabi is actually standing with his legs more than shoulder width apart with a slight front to back offset. Admittedly the long rifle extended parallel to the ground might be helping with that. That's all for me dude, thanks for the review.
Laying here, on vacation, just impulse bought it cuz it was a hella good price ($83) and im wondering how in the hell I'm gonna get it home ☠️ box is bigger than my suitcase
You just made my day Jabman, but I do have some questions: 1) The manual says that you can connect the Sinanju's bazooka into the long rifle to make some ridiculous weapon. Do you think that hands could handle such a configuration if you held the trigger with one hand and the barrel with the other? 2) Do you think the silver (and the transformation) would look better if you spray painted it silver (IE correcting the shit gold on SF with spray paint gold) parts? 3) You said this was the best kit in terms of looks. How does it match up to other Ver Ka's in terms of mobility/playability? Like the Sinanju and Nu gundam ver ka in particular? 4) If we were to put it on an action base, how much would the possibility improve in your opinion? What could you do on a base that you couldn't do on the ground? Anyway, thanks for this. Neither Prime92 or rrobert184 have their reviews for this beast up, so to hear a quick, clean, down to the point judgement was a real treat. I look forward to picking up my own in the future when it's good enough to paint outside. In the meantime I'll have to make some extra space for when I've got two Sazabi's.
Based on my experience with the kit, here's my answers: 1) There's really no problem doing just that 2) The silver looks very very good even with no paint, and it looks much better than SF shitty gold 3) I think it's superior to those kits in pretty much every aspect, except for the hip mobility when compared to the sinanju. So far I havent had any of the looseness issues that plague my Nu ver Ka as well 4) I've put mine on the AB1 with no problems, and it improves the look by freeing up the legs for more dynamic posing. All the joints are sturdy enough to help with pretty much any pose. Knees bend almost a full 180º, shoulders and arms are about the same as the Nu or the RX-78-2 3.0 for mobility, full waist rotation, the works. The only limit are the hips, but that's only an issue if you want to pose it doing the splits. The poses you can get with the transformation on the AB1 also look excellent. Hope this helps^^
1. I doubt it would be an issue, it would still be a little awkward posing it because of the wrist. 2. The silver is great as is, I just don't care for the look, personal opinion. 3. Sinanju and Nu are more posable and have a better range of movement, neither however have the detail that this kit has. 4. Putting this kit in the air would be liking putting the O in the air, sure it could be done, but honestly its so damn heavy it would never hold a decent pose or at least for very long.
Don't know if you already know this since it's been 5 or so years but there's a fix for the wrists, reposition the polycaps and don't follow the manual.
Jabman; there is ONE positive to the green effect parts. They're all photo-reactive to blacklight, just like the Unicorn's inner frame. I test all my new kits to see if they sneak that in there. XD
Ok, so I really like this kit, it is definitely one of the best master grades in my opinion. I us my kits for stop motion and I would like to buy this one for this one, in terms of legs do think I could make it walk or would the size of the legs not look good for walking. In the anime he is usually floating in Space so I don't think the model would be conclusive for action and walking.
Odd. I found the only problem I had was the wrist armor was a bit over sized. It got in the way of putting the guns in. I had no problems with the big beam tomahawk.. just a little loose connection. as for the action base.. let me try and test it. With mine of course.
My only gripes about this otherwise good kit are those loose wrist joints and having green beam effect parts instead of yellow effect parts like they should be. Oh and I don't really care about those extra red stickers but then again those are optional as this kit looks good even without them.
I made the mistake putting the zz ver ka on an action base and that eventually snapped dropping it from my shelf. If that thing will kill an action base well not even going to try with this kit
probably my favorite MG of all time
This kit is absolutely amazing. I just finished building mine, took about 10ish hours. So worth it. Its enormous and Just looks so good. Also, if you don't want him to do the splits, put him on any sub-grippy surface. A mouse pad or paper or things like that work great.
I finally ordered this guy to go with my nu. Took me so long and I'm really excited to have it on my shelf
Kinda ironic chars final mobile suit had "Zabi" in it
"Saznable" doesn't quite have the same ring
Anakin Skyobiliviator well in the original mobile suit Gundam series, Char Aznable is truly Casval Deikun, son of Zeon Deikun who is hunting the Zabi family who murdered his father to take power and control the principality. That is why it is so ironic
I know, I was redoing the portmanteau with Char's name for fun P:
it was named after the sassabi. its a type of antelope from Africa.
Sazabi? More like assassinated Zabi
Still watching 2019. Still haven't bought and built this guy. Soon.
Same boat for me xD right now I'm trying to choose between strike rouge PG or this one.
@@Inkbyjocelyn lol thats exactly my debate

Love going through your reviews, the enthusiasm and humor you bring is awesome. Great work!
Great review bro, I still need to build mine, but it's intimidating me lol
Do it man.
Its neat to see one of our big reviewers back in their early days, watching ol Jabman
@Malcolm Elijah and you sir are being banned from instagram and possibly sued!
It’s Casval Rem Deikun! Also, the shoulder connection only works in it’s ‘Red Comet’ Mode since the arm attachment is hampered by the sectioned armor on the arm.
HLJ's Gunpla channel went over how to fix the wrist problem with this kit for those who are interested! :)
I was hesitant on the action base connection too.... But believe me that it works surprisingly well, if you tighten the screw. Trust me it works :)
Good to have you back, good sir!
Yes! Finally! Been waiting for your review, Jabman! :D
Enjoyed this review with a nice relaxed style - thanks for taking the time to make it...very helpful

is it just me, or does that beam rifle look like the pulse rifle from Aliens?
matt200717 agreed.
matt200717 it's a beam shotgun
It's called plagiarism.
well this kit is going to be fun to build one weekend, great video like always
best mg kit ever made
@jabman025, does this kit have a cockpit? Forgive me for asking but you never showed it in this review, so it made me think there wasn't one.
it does, in the head

just finished building mine last week. absolutely phenomenal kit; possibly beating the Sinanju for best MG kit of all time
Can you do a review for RG Wing Zero EW?
Just finished mine in a week (2-3 hours work everyday). What a monster. So far, it's the best MG in my collection.

What is that another gunpla in the right at 7:35. Its cool i want to have a name so i can search it in amazon. Thanks
Jay Burgos that is the EXs Gundam however I have used a resin modification kit
jabman025 yeah just find that gundam and bought it thanks. And what is that resin modification kit you were talking about? Kinda lost there
It's called the patchwork conversion kit I've reviewed it on TH-cam just look it up
jabman025 ok thanks
With the panel lining...
It all being mostly red and dark.
How well does the lines show up
my only. ONLY. complaint about this kit, is that you cannot attach the ax in the shield while the ax is active. i would love to display it that way.
jabman025
quick question are sharpie the best thing for the eyes of model kits like this?
sharpies are only good for very small areas..........like the eye......use it on a large area and it looks awful.
Best innerframe? Never made the MG Zaku II 2.0?
Pretty sure he did build one a while back.
Super torn between this and the nu-gundam ver ka, may have to just get both, but which to get first?!

correct, this was a straight build, no painting
