Hooked….. I can’t believe how good this is. Desperately hope this isn’t one of those 10-week wonder series that leave you hanging. Sam has so much to offer too and presents so well. Urban Wildlife as a genre isn’t something I’ve considered but this was enough to whet the appetite. Thank you both and consider me subscribed. Good luck keeping the material this interesting as the bar has been set very high.
I was really looking forward to this. It was Interesting to hear about his process, but the sound quality was awful. I found it hard to listen to, especially the section where he was sat in front of the bridge. Hopefully the next episode is better!
Great video. As someone new to wildlife photography I'm curious about ethics. Is it ethical to acclimate fox kits to people in the way that the photographer was doing?
In an Urban environment I'd say it's ok, Foxes are generally used to people and if they need to they can escape and disappear quickly. I live in London and have Foxes all around me, I regularly stop to watch the kits play and they'll happily walk right past me less than a foot away.
This is so beautiful, thank you. I do wonder though, if it's a good idea for the fox cubs to get so used to humans? I mean that they approach someone for food? (Sorry, I really don't mean to be a downer but I couldn't help thinking that might not end well for them in different circumstances.)
That’s where i used to go to play truant when I was a kid we used to hide there looking down on the kestrels lovely site a kestrel in flight from above
yeah I'm not complaining too much here just some constructive feedback regarding the audio. The Levels are clipping so it's bit distorted in some clips. Very cool segment though I subscribed.
Well that's put me off ever trying to do Urban foxes, it's all well and good going on about flashes, IR triggers etc etc but some of us don't have money to burn and have an actual day job so repeatedly spending nights and early mornings setting up or retrieving gear isn't possible. I also think using all this tech takes away from the skill of photography. I'd rather achieve the image with just a camera, lens and my own knowledge.
Brilliant, so happy to have found this delightful video
What a lovely surprise to see your smiling face pop. Great job Mark - we love you XXXX
Unbelievable! I just moved to Bristol and am now hopeful to be able to see at least one at some point! Absolutely incredible.
That planning and executing is really wonderful to know...

Great to know How Wildlife photographer working behind the camera
Enchanting.....⭐⭐⭐⭐💖🙏 ,,,,,,,,,,,, subscribed
If you have the option, grab an audio recorder with 32bit floating audio. It’ll help save you from clipping.
A fascinating insight into an incredible image. On a practical note; please sort the sudio out for future videos, as it was very distorted.
Great story
Can't believe I hadn't thought of trying urban foxes! I've more or less just been photographing local bird life.
Thank you.

Be careful with the sound calibration !! But very instructive video !
Enjoyed the video, audio is not good though.
Episode 2: how to setup your microphone for decent audio without clipping 😂
