Lets be honest here bug types have come a long way since gen 1 though beedrill still needs some buffs or a lot of buffs if it is going to see any play without its mega evolution

I've just always found it as interesting that Flygon isn't a bug type. So much so, it gave me the idea of a bug type gym where every trainer has one non-bug type to counter fire, flying, and rock Pokemon.

I would always use legendaries when I had them because they are reliably strong, but turns out I’d mostly use flying types, so I could get them faster and always have them use moves that would obliterate the enemy, as well as prevent them from getting hurt
Kinda the same? I just used Pokémon that I liked, though for the longest time I held myself to a personal "law" of NO repeat types in my party. At all. My first EVER exception to that was Ice/Fairy Ninetails and Ghost/Fairy Mimikyu in Pokémon Moon.

I actually started my first ever Pokémon adventure in kalos so I can relate to her a lot and my most loved Pokémon was a female combee called Queen now a Vesprequeen I love these two together always make me smile
I hate how oddly similar of this conversation was when I realized my favorite pokemon type was electric. Like I was talking to my friends and we talked about what pokemon liked and/or made sure to put in our teams during a playthrough, and it was pointed out that there was always an electric type I would attach to and have on my team.

I keep occasionally coming back to these Guzma comic dubs because they're so good! I literally love Guzma after seeing these comics! I love the way the comics portray him as trying to become a better person and his love for bug types despite his past and everything! He's just fuckin adorable! I die every time I watch them.
I like to think we all had a bug catcher phase. Mine was in Silver and Gold with the bug competitions, I ended up league champion with a Scyther, Heracross, two Butterfrees and a Beedrill.
I remember I used Butterfree (named beefwee if you get the reference then thats cool) in Fire Red but after I beat the game I sadly had to replace her because It legit did nothing in the league (I replaced her with a tyranitar).

Appreciate bug types. They’re just as good as any other. Dark is still my favorite, but bug will always be very close second for me. Just wish for a dark bug type, maybe another spider of some sort would be cool
I guess everyone has that one type that they don’t know they collect so much of; I didn’t realize I did it myself until now; In my X I collected mostly fire types In my eevee game I mostly collected electric types In my Ultra Moon I mostly collected water types And now in my sword I find myself collecting mostly ice types 😅
I had a moment like this with dragons once. It started by wanting the 600 club, you know, dragonite, hydreigon, goodra, salamence, komo-o, garchomp, metagross, tyranitar, but then i started breeding for some egg moves and hidden abilities and started noticing some cool stuff, like how a kingdra with sniper, focus energy and a scope lens could do stupid things with dracometeor and surf and that some lower stat dragons had some really solid move sets too and of course once fairy showed up you needed some steel and poison power, but luckily i found some who could learn iron head or poison jab and before i knew it i was sifting through my boxes and realized i had like 4 dittos, my starter, a couple hm slaves and like 3 boxes of dragons i was either working on, finished or had new move sets and ideas for that i wanted to try out and was like "Well.. guess I'm a dragon trainer now..."
Girl I kinda have the same problem but different...my ‘problem’ is that I like bug more too than other..maybe like steel, rock, psychic, etc, still I do like fire, ground, fighting, etc...too lazy to list all 18 =u= but I do know my reason why though, because bug type Pokémon really can be a lot of things, attacker, sp attacker, Tank, Sp tank, speedster, support, (And other things like Cute, cool, strong, weak) just....so many, as for other type? Btw i am NOT dissing any type!!..Never!! But look at some type like...Rock and steel that’s usually tanks, flying and electric that’s usually the speedster, psychic and fairy that’s usually the sp attacker, even fire,water,grass and other type are mix but still, bug type Pokémon can kinda be many things also thx to many second type they have, not saying the moves are great or best...like compare bug buzz and Signal beam with flamethrower or thunderbolt? I do this with grass type, idk why, I've noticed I usually love the designs of grass type pokemon and will end up catching or evolving many of them because of their design alone: my main team in sword and shield had both Bellossom and Vileplume, I then later caught and stored away Maractus, Tsareena, Roserade and I believe an Eldegoss or a Cherrim? Dont recall, but some day...some day I'll play with only grass types (this tidbit is also how I gained the nick name Leaf in a server and have used it a lot since)
that was me with ghost Types. When I started my first pokemon game I originally was going for Fire Types, but ended up loving the ghosts far more (Gengar is the best there is). Now every game I own has at least 2-5 ghost types in it. Ghosts are amazing
Thanks to this dub and all of the comments I've now realized the unhealthy amount of flying types I use... Let's see Gyarados, Staraptor, Dragonite, Salamence, Sigilyph, Crobat, Gliscor, Charizard, Togekiss, Yanmega... Uh, I think that's enough...
Reminds me of when I caught my first steel type pokemon [Aron] in Ruby. After seeing how bloody tanky they were. I would go up and out of my way for steel types.

I do this with grass type, idk why, I've noticed I usually love the designs of grass type pokemon and will end up catching or evolving many of them because of their design alone: my main team in sword and shield had both Bellossom and Vileplume, I then later caught and stored away Maractus, Tsareena, Roserade and I believe an Eldegoss or a Cherrim? Dont recall, but some day...some day I'll play with only grass types (this tidbit is also how I gained the nick name Leaf in a server and have used it a lot since)

that was me with ghost Types. When I started my first pokemon game I originally was going for Fire Types, but ended up loving the ghosts far more (Gengar is the best there is). Now every game I own has at least 2-5 ghost types in it. Ghosts are amazing

Reminds me of when I caught my first steel type pokemon [Aron] in Ruby. After seeing how bloody tanky they were. I would go up and out of my way for steel types.
