I just wanted to say, that the British did not win the battle of the Somme, and sure, tanks scared the Germans, but they were slow, weak, and easily broke down, especially in the muddy Somme battlefield. Their first use, tho, was a Cambrai, where even though they didn’t do the greatest, and a lack of coordination cost Britain the battle, it was still a important battle, showing the potential of tanks.
