Got this as a Christmas present. It’s a beautifully crafted knife. Same as you I had never seen a knife like it. I did some research and found out it’s a tea knife. “When enjoying the art of Pu'erh tea, a tea knife is usually used to break up Pu'erh tea cakes or bricks that are pressed tightly. Do they talk about using actual fruits on the tutorial and if not do you think that would still be doable using actual fruits and wiping the knife off after with a towel or whatever? Seems it would be but figured I'd ask, anyways!...LOL St_bbing a piece of paper like in the tutorial seems pretty lame but I do like the idea of a m_rder mystery!
Yes, they discuss using actual fruits in the tutorial and you can certainly stab a fruit with the knife; maybe not slicing as it’s not serrated but stabbing isn’t a problem.
I see no harm in showing all the outs in a routine where you can't reproduce the prop yourself, especially if you come out and say the method is multiple outs (which is obvious in any event). One here isn't paying for the method, but the prop. Knowing how each out looks is valuable in making a purchasing decision, and it's not like one can just reproduce the prop using simple arts and crafts at home. "Giving away the design" of the prop is meaningless in this case. If I want that knife I'd have to purchase it, no matter if I know the design. Just my two cents.

I don’t have a source for that; I bought it years ago from my friend, the late Jeremy Pei. I believe it’s from Phil Cass but I can’t be sure.
