Are you measuring for a specific miniature scale or you choose what looks better for each project?
I don't use a specific scale, I use the best scale for each piece. In most cases, the miniature room is adjusted to fit into a postcard size (100*148mm).

設計図まではなくても良いと思いますが、簡単なイメージラフくらいは描いておくと完成系が想像しやすいかと思います。
