Not sure why the wind rings even exist if you need an app to correctly interpret them. I estimate ~3 per ring; I refuse to use another app to help me play.
Ive recently gotten into UG and what has helped me get close is counting each ring at about 2mph but this is on another level. Keep up the great content

Really important video. Thanks for doing this and look forward to you developing this topic. UG appears to be a lot more complicated than GC, and I'm reading that the better players drop shots like we do with Endbringers and Nirvanas.

I watched to 5:40 then took a 120 yard chip straight in for an eagle... wind was a crosswind of 6.3mph. Thank you!

The opaque rings appear to be bigger or more thick than the clear rings, does this affect the adjustment? I have been trying this out and always seems to be off by a few and can never get it exactly unless it’s a very small adjustment.
Thanks for the great videos about wind adjustment. I've been playing the game about a month now and progressing nicely but still have trouble calculating wind - especially on approach shots. I'm trying the ring counting/Guide for UG method you described but am having mixed results. It works fine on a lot of shots but then one will come up that seems way off. For example, if I'm using Hypnotix level 5 in a 12 mph wind at minimum distance, the Guide says the ring offset is 0.4. That's just totally wrong, I've tried it and that's way undercompensation. Unless I'm doing something wrong...

I noticed when you were using the UG App you were not putting in the % for the ball you were using. Is there a real need then to put in the percentage of the ball you are using?

How do you point the wind arrow north playing a vs match?
Hey, i just started playing UG and I'm loving it, but is there a that i can play some game for practice purposes by myself without challenging anyone. I am not seeing that option if there is any.
I was told if the Triangle was at certain position do the same thing on the other is this correct. You two are making sense now my bad habits returned back.
I got a good understanding of the minimum distance and maximum distance. But I don’t understand pulling the rings part. And which way you pull the rings.

Something has changed in Ultimate Golf or when using an Apple iPad, or I'm doing something wrong because I cannot get the Wind Direction Indicator to point due north as required in this video. Does this render the rest of the ring counting useless?

Why is it when I’m playing level 11 and have a high quality ball…that mine moves a lot but I play a guy with a spider or basic ball and his goes straight as an arrow??? What am I doing wrong? I’m adjusting it but do I need to do more?

Can someone explain to me when your playing against an opponent in H2H and there using a basic ball they put it 30ft away from the flag but in a tiebreaker 2 inches

First off I want to say this a very good looking game. I don’t know why they would want to make the wind adjustment so difficult that you need another app to work it out. Oh I know, Profit. They want people to pay for better balls to cut the wind down to a more manageable level. So it’s either pay or delete, I will be deleting it.
what's the point of having a calculator that doesn't give you accurate adjustments? even when counting dist. from max and inputting all the numbers correctly it's always more than 15% incorrect
Well it is a game, right? Why play if there's zero challenge?
I wish the Guide for UG allowed me to enter via the keyboard for Max Ring Span and Rings from Max! The sliders suck on my iOS devices. Sometimes it takes 4 or 5 attempts to get the exact number I want when lifting my fingertip from the screen. Please, Please, Please make this an option on your next version of the Guide of Ulitimate Golf!

What am I supposed to do when, once I’ve lined it up then I turn the screen so the arrow is pointing directly up but when u start moving down the rings the red bar appears and it wants to change club and knock the whole thing out of align?
You will have to switch to a new club. Or change the club under it, in order to have more room. For example, with big foot, change your short iron to the iron Eagle as it is a shorter max distance short iron.
How do you get unlimited time for adjustments like you are doing in the video?
You have unlimited time in Tournaments, only thing that is timed is Head to Head

JA - thanks for the videos. Sometimes I notice wind doesn't affect a shot and no correction is needed, mostly in the rough or sand around the green, is this true or am I just overlooking something else? Thanks.
I played Golf madness number 5 was a birdie also the ball went in the hole no pts.
Useing wind guide it says lvl 4 orca is .5 max, .2 mid. At 1mph. Useing orca in game these #’s are way off. It’s more like 1 mph=2 rings. Am I just reading something wrong or what?

Why don't you use the ball % in figuring adjustment?
The app does! It also has a feature he's not using here. After determining min/clubs, and eyeballing the shot you want, you count rings from max and input the wind direction, works on most reg clubs, drivers, woods, long and short irons... not for wedges, rough, sand, or putter of course. 1st thing I do is enter ball % (7-11 and Pro D1 has its own setting!), wind speed, determining how many rings from the pin max long iron is (I ALWAYS tee to the point where Bigfoot will be within 10% of max) and then I rotate a dial to match wind direction and it figures it all out for me. I just fave to get all that right and then use the data properly. the app tells me the ring info, I have to set the wind indicator pointed perfectly up and move the ball exactly downward, in rings. It didn't take long to see that I was using plane geometry to get a ball close to a hole! I have a smallish phone with cracked glass, perfect I am not, but I usually score TB points in the 880s and above and have amassed 52 aces, 1600 eagles, and 26 double eagles. I've been playing for about a year and a half, and have 2400 trophies and 549 million coins. I haven't played much lately, maybe I should fire up the old birdie machine!

Tournament only. Click on the club you're using (top right) to open the club change list.

Well I see that you were using your rings for measuring the wind but I would like to see you do that when the wind is blowing sideways at that speed or 12 to 14 mile an hour winds I want to see that
Let's see it with 7.6 mph or more side wind. With tail wind you don't need all this calculation for a fairway shot.
That’s odd I’ve never seen the extra rings on my iOS game.

Can we 1v1 in ultimate golf
so i just downloaded the guide to ultimate golf and it wont even allow me to get to the wind calculator without looking at ads and in order to shut off the ads to even get into the wind calculator i have to pay $1.44 per month. so just for full disclosure, THIS APP IS NOT FREE!!!!
If you have android, I now recommend “Ultimate Golf Caddy”. But I used to use Guide all the time and never have paid a dime for it. Just watch the ads and always works for me.
Why does the game start cheating you once you start winning too much? Especially on Head to Head matches.
How else will it convince you to pay?

This is not free. It is forcing you to subscribe by saying loading ad and it loads forever while eating yur data.
I have the same wind guide app he is useing. It’s free for the most part. Only time have to watch ad is when I 1st open app then no more.

Can u please just line up a shot and tell me how u picked that spot? I.e. - 8 mph wind, so I'm counting this many rings to pick spot. All of these videos talk way to much.
All of this information is what actually goes in to picking your final shot.....it's not as easy as just aiming at a spot and it goes in.....this is the skill required.
What is the purpose of using an app to almost act as a cheat guide. Doesn’t that take the fun out of the game and figuring out yourself? This game almost as stressful as real golf though lol
