Love the bag and color. Never liked the Saffiano leather, but I do like it here. I wonder if this color comes in pebble leather in the zip zip. I bought the wallet in Marshall’s for $39. Woo hoo. The mini satchel might be nice too. I need something light and lrg opening so I can see everything inside. Wear in good health. I’m on a mission. Clark’s has nice matching shoes. ❤️

Can you believe I still haven't unwrapped my Bordeaux Zip Zip? I've unboxed her but that's it. Right now she's resting in one of the guest rooms. Saffiano leather had to grow on me. My MK Saffiano Sutton bag has a completely different feel than my Dooney Saffiano. Both are equally nice, just different. And lately I've been loving these shades of burgundy. My Nubuck Chelsea (thank you very much) has a burgundy hue to it though the color is chestnut. Love your grape LOLO, too! Has Dooney discontinued that color? You don't see it offered any longer. You just might have a collectors item there!

Hi Valerie, I can't believe you can just let that bag sit there! Don't you think she's lonely in there? Lol! You have some willpower. I can definitely see the Bordeaux tones in the chestnut. I sometimes see chestnut in my small flo satchel because it has a lot of brown in it. It also took me a long time to like saffiano. I like the feel of Dooney's saffiano. It's flexible. I like how sturdy it feels and how weather friendly it is. Thanks on the grape. Yeah it's not available anymore, except I've seen some on eBay occasionally. I am going to say this way down here because we both have a thing for the wine,Bordeaux, crimson, etc colors. I do not buy Coach bags ever! But I saw the Coach patent leather Sierra in Oxblood, I fell in ❤️ love. As you know everything I have has never been carried, brand spanking new, but I just had to have this, and it had to be special for me to buy patent leather much less a Coach. It is to die for! The Coach I have not received yet is 13.5" across bottom will have to check out zip zip size

Thanks Noemi, I love this bag. It's really working out well for me. I know it's not a size that's for everyone. What I'm finding is it's a bag I can stay very organized in. Everything stays in its place and is easy to get to because of the big wide opening. I love that I can stand it in a table and keep it open and get at everything, then slip that item right back in its spot. Nothing moves around like in a lot of my other bags. Update... I ended up getting the pebbled leather zip zip in black with the Sierra trim. I love it. Thank you for responding before and helping me decide between the pebbled leather and lizard embossed.
Your videos are the BEST! 2 last questions.......
1. Can you hook the shoulder straps just on the back hooks of the bag? WILL THAT RUIN THE BAG OR THE STRAPS? They ALWAYS show it with one in front with the one in the back. Have you tryed it that way? How do you carry your zip zips????

Hi Karrie, I'm a little late in answering comments this week, but I got it. :)
Yay!!! I'm so glad you got your bag! The black pebbled leather version is so classic Dooney. Great choice for sure. Unfortunately I don't have any of my Zip Zip satchels anymore. I just wasn't reaching for them as much. I always carried them the way they came with the strap hooked to one side on front and other side on back. I found that when the leather relaxed a little bit from use the handles stayed down. they didn't fling upward anymore. The bag is pretty well balanced too when carried on the shoulder. I have heard of putting the strap on the same handle on one side of the bag only, but I have never tried it. Dooney's are pretty durable, but it's possible with a lot of weight in the bag it might put extra tension on that one handle. It seems it would be much better balanced with the strap attached one on each side. Maybe if you want to carry it on one side only you might want to alternate which side the strap goes on every so often so you don't put stress only on one side. Maybe just try it and see how it looks. You should be able to judge how the bag hangs. Best of luck and enjoy your new bag!

Even the outlet bags have nice details now and the price point is great. They tend to be lighter weight than Dooney. I hope by now you’ve found your perfect bag. I hope you are enjoying your wallet. lol @ your comment about the iPhone being between two pillows! I use the free stand that came with my iPad Air2! lol It's a little cheesy thing, but it works. lol. The bag is gorgeous and I love the Saffiano leather! :-) I rarely use lipstick but when i do, i tend to go for the nudes or sheer colors and they need to be very moisturizing. I like IT Cosmetics lip flush products pretty much.
Hi Kimmy, I looked for a stand But they were all too pricy. I used to film with my iPad mini and have a cover on it that flips into a little stand. Now that I'm using my iPhone I had to figure something out. Looks like I can't use the black and white pillows anymore because that was the shadow that was on the screen. Trial and error... Lol! Hi, I love Saffiano leather and I have that one sitting in my cart on Ilovedooney but just not totally sure about it. I have it in Pebble but my zipper line is wonky from over stuffing. I know that I need to downsize but...... Anyway at $119 I don't think that I can let this deal go 😃 BTW love the color and thx for sharing!

It's such a cute bag. I really like the saffiano leather. I have a little dkny wristlet in that type of leather. It softens the more you use it while still keeping its shape. Great trick keeping things vertical so it closes easily. I love how you can see everything when you look inside. About the Burts Bee lipstick.... I'm kind of afraid it might cause me to have a bee or honey allergy. So I haven't bought any yet. I wonder what the research says.
Thanks Deb! I wasn't much of a saffiano fan, but I like Dooney's because it's nice and flexible. I do love how it keeps its shape but it's not really stiff. I also like how it's so weather friendly. It's been snowing here and I can take it with me without worry. I haven't heard of the Burts products causing allergies, but if you're concerned it's definitely worth staying away from. Beautiful bag!! I don't have a saffiano bag yet and can't decide on which style I want yet lol. My lips peel really bad also from getting dried out. IT cosmetics make awesome lip sticks that help my lips :)
Hi Stella, thanks you! I was never much of a saffiano fan, but I have to say this saffiano feels really nice. I prefer softer bags and this one is not too stiff but has a nice structure and keeps its shape. Well, after day 3 of using these lipsticks my lips did start peeling. I guess they can only take lipstick in small doses. I have one IT cosmetics Liostick and I love the consistency and the smell and taste. I will try using that more often. It's a pinky color. you packed it good. the only zip zip i purchased was in pebble leather, my next zip zip is an ostrich one that i would like to use on special occasions . then i might get something in saffiano but i have a question i never asked from a dooney addict like us and that is "is the leather really that much better to justify the price increase. should i just buy a wristlet for a sample staffiano dose. thanking you in advance and as always, i leave a thumbs up for posting the videos.
+Tamara Ching Hi Tamara, the pebbled and ostrich zip zips are great. I don't know if saffiano leather is better per se but it has it's pros in my opinion. There are cons too. It's just a matter of taste I think. I like it because to me it has a little bit more of a dressy look while the pebbled leather with tan trim is more casual. I also like that it is bad weather friendly. Also it is very durable against scratches and scuffs. It is a bit more rigid, but for saffiano Dooneys is pretty flexible. I like the all one color aspect and I think it takes color very well. The colors are so rich, bright, and beautiful. +kiTay Hi kiTay, I agree, the black pebble is so elegant! I am really starting to fall in love with Dooney's saffiano and the way it takes color.....but that's a whole different story...i digress. Lol!. That bag you ask about is the Florentine Twist Strap Hobo in the color natural. I got it at the outlet just after the first of the year. I fell in love with it because my mom's friend got the red one and I made the mistake of trying on the natural. :) I haven't done a video on it, but maybe I should. I love 💝💝💝 this bag too! What is it about the Boudreaux and crimson colors in these bags that gets one to swoon. I love the zip zip, but this Saffiano bag is especially chic, all one color. Dooney does the best deep rich burgundy colors in leather. It's better than Ben & Jerry's cherry Garcia ice cream...almost :-)!! A weather proof bag is a big bonus this time of year, Thumbs up and love all your bags choices

Have you compared your black pebble leather zip zip to this one yet? I felt like the Saffiano is just a tad bit smaller. It's hard to tell.... But it just feels like two different sizes.

i have a question.. I have a zip zip in patent, the Highland Holiday in Black.. but I want to get another zip zip.. at first I wanted to go with the pebble leather but hmm not sure and now I'm looking at the Saffiano zip zip.. since you have all three (patent, pebble and saffiano) which is your preferred? thanks
Hi Ange, That is a good question. Well, I sold the patent. It was beautiful but I just didn't reach for it much. It was too light of a color for me I think. I really like my pebbled leather one because it is all one color. That's probably why I like my saffiano. I also think the saffiano looks so rich in dark colors. To me, the all one color bags look more formal or elegant, while the saffiano with the Sierra tan trim look more casual. I would suggest choosing one based in the look you are going for. The saffiano is also completely carefree while the pebbled with the tan trim can get water spots in the trim part of the bag. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching and for asking my opinion. You can have anything you want. I think women have better relationships with their bags than men. Anyway, I bought a D&B medium Florentine satchel in "Bordeaux." My bag is a lot redder than your Bordeaux bags. It makes me wonder what's up. I love my bag and love the color, however, I love the Bordeaux color on your bags. I wish D&B would put out color pallet. I also wish they would make "custom" orders. I think the lining is a big deal. I'm not a fan of the red cotton. I like the gingham linings that come in colors that coordinate with the exterior of the bag. As a suggestion, if you want to hydrate well, drink super hot water. The molecules in cold water move slow and don't penetrate tissue. It repels over tissue. Hot water, however, penetrates tissue because the molecules are moving fast. Think about the difference between pouring cold water over dry leather vs. hot water. The hot water will also flush the villi better.

Hi Karrie, Oh great! I think you're going to love it. Oh that lizard is soooooo pretty! I think it has a more dressy look to it and the pebbled leather is more casual, especially the ones with the tan trim. They will both hold up really well in my opinion, but the lizzard I think is a little more structured and since it has a coating over the leather it might be a little bit more durable. I suggest if you can, try both styles on and see which one fits you better in terms of style and what you're looking for. You really can't go wrong with either. Thanks for asking my opinion. If you like a bigger bag I think Deanna is a better choice. I believe it's a little bigger. The zip zip can be a little small because it tapers up toward the top and that seems to take away the space. I would suggest calling one of the Dooney outlet locations and ask for availability on this bag and the zip zip. They might have them for cheaper. They will check stock at other outlets for you too. Hi, I think it might be a tiny bit lighter. There are some other different details like the Saffiano one had braided zipper pulls and my pebbles one didn’t. Both of them are very comparable though especially since the black one is all one color and without the tan trim accents. The Saffiano is also a little bit stiffer. Thanks for watching. Xoxo 🤗

I am watching right now on eBay Ilovedooney,, the exact purse and color! Last night I bought my first Dooney on Ebay, It's the taupe medium Florentine Leather Satchel .. I've been a Coach girl, in fact I just purchased 2 in the same style that is wonderful! I was torn between the Dooney & Bourke Florentine Leather Clayton Satchel in Brown, it's so pretty too. But I think my husband will flip his top if I get 5 new purses! I def have my eye on this one though! Marla
+Marla Barton Congrats! I used to have the small florentine satchel in taupe. It's a beautiful color and very neutral. I just felt I had too many neutral bags so I chose to sell that one. Hi! You're right it is too short. I don't think they meant for this one to be a crossbody. If you have other bags though, it's easy to mix and match straps.
