My name is Milton Vanderhyde, an Anglo Indian from Bombay, India, Came to England in 1961 and now live in Sligo, Ireland. I love everything Indian, the Food, Fruit and Sweets too.
Watching you prepare and cook Anglo Indian dishes, makes my mouth water and I can almost smell and taste your recipes, while watching your Demonstrations. I must have a go at making the Ball Curry and Coconut Rice, the Pot Roast and all the other dishes you have shared with us, Anglo Indians. Thank You and Bless You, Pearl. XX

I grew up in Chennai India during the 70s and 80s so I had a lot of Anglo Indian friends. I have shared your video links in my friends group, many of them are Anglo Indians and now live all around the world. I am not Anglo Indian but love them. Now I love the food. As a child, I recall a friend of my family's cooking ball-curry for us. She wasn't an Anglo-Indian, but a Burgher of Ceylon- a mixed-race descendant of Dutch settlers and Ceylon-natives (Sinhala). She looked eastern European or Turkish. She also cooked the yellow rice. I also recall a mixed vegetable salad that she made as an accompaniment. The Late Mrs Vandervort was actually my first teacher at school.

I grew up in Calcutta and had anglo-Indian's as my neighbours, I played n grew up with them. My mom had colleagues in her office and one of them became family friends...Aunty Oria, her mum n sisters.... Mum learnt many anglo_indian recipes from her friends and made them at home....including the legendary Calcuttan anglo-Indian Christmas cakes....oh my goodness! this is huge cause these are memories from 42+ years ago!!!🤯🤯 😊💕 I will be following you closely from now on. My name is Pearly so I was happy to see another person by Pearl. I went to an Anglo Indian school in Cochin and have good Anglo Indian friends. I love your cooking and Goan cooking is always delicious. I was looking for a recipe to make ball curry that's how I found you. I now live in Florida US. Thank you I am going to try this today. God bless.

Firstly, a BIG THANK YOU to you, Pearl, for sharing with people who don't know or understand our origin, The Anglo-Indians.. This is the first video of yours I have come across and I am so glad I did.. We sure are a diminishing lot and our recipes too are getting lost, the younger generation need to know our lovely cuisine.
Your Ball Curry and Yellow Rice recipes brought back some very beautiful memories of our Mum and Dad... just loved the way you explained everything in detail.. will definitely watch your videos henceforth..
Thank you, dearie, once again and God Bless.❤

Lots of Hindus in Kerala eat beef. I read a research article that showed that beef was eaten regularly by even the brahmins. The ban and the taboo are relatively recent.

@@kvuppal1those are namesake Hindus. It’s not about sin, it’s about killing and eating an animal that has same emotions as you and eating it when you have so many other foods. Why don’t you people take the same stance with pork?
