    My boy friend is Hungarian and this popped up on my recommendation I was curious and watched it I was very amazed at his culture. Just like everyone we all have ways to express our pride for things we love. But I find it very beautiful coming from Hawaii ☺️❤️

      Greetings form Romania/Transilvania!
      I have a footnote to add.
      The people you see in this video, are actually Szeklers (can look up, Felcsik is not in Hungary, but in Transilvania) Szeklers, tho speaking Hungarian, and being Hungarians, have always had their autonomy, traditions, and folklore, and they lived/live in Transilvania.

    Nem vagyok székely, "csak magyar", de az ilyen táncoktól, az ilyen zenétől megint kicsordult a könnyem. Isten áldja meg a táncosokat, a zenészeket és az operatőrt is természetesen!

    My great grandfather’s parents had to flee Hungary with their son when he was 2 because of crimes they committed. They came to the u.s but unfortunately died when they got here. My great grandfather was adopted my a white family and didn’t know much Hungarian or his relatives (since his last name was changed). I’m here because I want to learn more about my ancestors and my culture. :)

      @@tiborkocsis5199Not really. I saw Mansi and Khanty dances and music. This is nothing like that. I' m pretty they are ancient Uralic elements in the Madyar culture. Kind of. I don't see similarities between Hungarian dances and folk clothing and those of the Khanty and Mansi.

    This looks exactly like the Slovakian culture, especially the mens pants. Did the carpathian mountains contain Slavs or Hungarian and Germanic oppressors? I wish Slovakia, Poland, and CzechRepublic, all Slavic nations would have retain their slavic identities more than just their languages instead of the Culture of Greater Moravia under German/Germanic influences from Holy Rome and Constant Magyarization. Cyrillic was actually written in Slovakia. unfortunately Germanic influence under Holy Rome and the catholic church westernized these countries physically denying its Slavic identities as Old church Slavonic wasn't permissible under the Catholic church under Pope Stephen V.

    • @deusvult5875
      @deusvult5875 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I know you posted this a long time ago but much Slavic culture is to be found in Hungary after all modern Hungarians are genetically near-identical to Slovaks (You can still find traces of their eastern roots but this is minor) the Magyars cannot have been that oppressive if you have retained your language the problem is many Slovaks hate the idea of the Kingdom of Hungary even though this is where their cultural heritage resides the Magyars destroyed Great Moravia yes but most Northern Hungarian lords where infact of Slovak descent Slovaks contributed to the Kingdom of Hungary in a big way cultural militarily government the kingdom of Hungary was a massive realm the fact it lasted so long and included so many ethnic groups is remarkable the Hungarians were just the glue that held it together (probably due to them already assimilating many other cultures long before they entered the Carpathian basin cross cultural interaction was the norm for them) The History of the Kingdom of Hungary is obviously the History of the Magyars as they started the nation but its also the History of the Slovaks, Croatians, Slovenes, serbs and transylvanians (whether Hungarian or Romanian) Most of the shared History of Magyars and Slovaks was amicaple to brotherly it was only in the later eras of the Kingdom that this friendship deteriorated and hate began to fill the void
