Yes, it would have been amazing! 840av and better performance from the entry level 040 Mac. It makes Dark Forces very playable. I should test Duke3D. But anyhow. I'm working on a new better version. Should be ready in the next while. Code is almost done, but I've added feature for people who have the PPC upgrade and I don't have one for testing, so I'm at the mercy of others to bug check that part. I've made it so that it checks if you are running 68k or PPC while the extension loads and picks different speeds depending on what you set for each. It also has hot swapping in the Control Panel - nicer interface than using a console App. I rewrote the code as an XCMD so I can call it from other projects, even HyperCard!
I've just noticed I forgot to post the updated link for the bug fixed version I shared end of last week. I've updated the other comment, but note that there is a newer version in the works that supports on the fly speed changes.
