And it's a comedy /drama show, it isn't meant to have 2 serious plots

I just realized that Beverly and Sheldon, two of the most self-centered, cold, and stubborn characters in the show, said "Thank you" as their last lines. It kinda reflects their character development in the show.

I don't agree with that observation, they didn't change trough the show. Even at the very end they were still cold and mean, like really mean!
Leonard's mother made an experiment on him in this last episode, and Sheldon was selfish as hell when he heard the news about Penny and even Howard.
In fact they only change for their last sentences, after 12 whole seasons I don't call that a development, it's a wrap up just so they can be nice when it's over.

Yeah, when they try to do flashback scenes, it doesn't look like the original them. They've all gained weight, I mean none are fat, but their faces aren't as oddly young and skinny looking, so they can't do flashbacks properly.

Robert Banu well to be fair to the The ending of how I Met your mother was recorded all the way back in the first season of that show so the characters wouldn’t age or anything they did think the show would go on for so long and the longer it went The more involved and changed

Who didn’t realise when Amy first came in how iconic she would be
There was actually a bit of a throwaway line from Raj in an earlier season that mentioned Mayim...I don't remember the exact setup or words but iirc they were talking about finding new friends and Raj said something along the lines of "How about that girl from Blossom (show where Mayim played the lead), she was smart?" Not sure if it was planned or not but did seem like a bit of foreshadowing.
Amy came in as a character that was abandoned very fast, she was quickly changed drastically.

the fact that amy's first line was "i'm amy farrah fowler, you're sheldon cooper." , and her last line was "my husband, sheldon cooper." literally has me sobbing- her/sheldon's character development (both individually and together as they grew as a couple) is just so incredible, i don't think i'll ever get over it

agree with everything you said, but in the last scene after the Nobel Prize ceremony, they cut to the squad back in the apartment, eating dinner as normal, while a slowed down version of the title track plays and that for me was the perfect end, as it showed nothing changed between them and their relationship stayed the same. :)

One of those rare sitcoms that could bring you to tears of both laughter and sadness/emotion. For me, it was brilliant how Sheldon's character developed emotionally over the years. Not just from falling in love with Amy, but from spending time with the others who showed him the value of empathy, humour and consideration for others feelings as the series went on. He went from not getting it, to realising he should get it, but still not getting it, to actually getting it. Genuinely brilliantly played by Jim Parsons.
He's also the reason the show ended...hate when actors want to move on from a character/show that you love understandable but it still sucks

Sheldon's final speech was the first time i balled my eyes out at a comedy show. The fact the writers managed to do such a good, and non-obnoxious job of displaying mental health (social anxiety, autism etc.), was so well done that it just hits subconsciously with that speech.
Jim was the perfect casting for such an iconic character, and TBBT joined the ranks of an all time great TV show after his final words
When my dad found out the show would stop, he knew my brother wouldn't react that well. So when my brother came home, my dad stood at the table and said: "sit down son." My brother sat down and waited for my dad to say it: "the Big Bang Theory will stop." My brother said: "really? Okay." While I was in another room screaming "WHAT?!"

I never noticed Penny crying in that last scene. It is true to her character, but probably was a genuine emotion. Penny was completely different in the beginning to what she was in the last season- but it was realistic growth. Kripke was the same the whole time, but that's consistent with his character.
Kripke was pivotal in helping Sheldon and Amy get the novel prize, I like how the relationship evolved to "fun pranking" and singing at their wedding lol.
They all were crying when they were doing the run-through of the last episode.

my favourite thing is amy’s face through sheldon’s speech. she knows how he feels, she knows how much it would take for him to apologize, and for him to say he loves them. the detail in this show is just immaculate

yup Sheldon's final words for the series still get me. Was SO well written and spoken. And when Leonard told his Mom he forgave her and she expressed gratitude. That as a strong moment.
Started the series in October and finished it just a moment ago and my God, it's been a real pleasure. One of the best sitcoms I've seen in a really long time. Especially the last few episodes, I got really teary eyed. The character development was really phenomenal throughout the series. Their acting was so natural, that it felt so real (that they might actually exist in Pasadena). One of the best things that I loved about this show, apart from the science stuff, is that the characters make you feel that you are somehow a part of their group (even though they are fictional) and you also feel that if you ever met them, you'd be really good friends with them (yes, friends with Sheldon too haha). Hats off to the big bang theory cast, the writers and producers for making this an amazing experience.

I think Sheldon has come a long way. Highlighted by his Nobel Prize speech where he acknowledged his family and that in "his own way" he loved his wife and friends. The Nobel Prize scene is when he came full circle and we saw the loving, caring Sheldon.

This show represented a lot for many. It made you happy, sad, and hopeful. I think that a show's worth is in how you feel when you watch it, and the acting. Sometimes one would forget it was just a half hour sitcom for they made you feel you were actually in the room with them. Therefore I think it brought many to tears at the end because it felt like we were losing someone important. Not many shows pull that off, be it drama, romantic comedies, etc. Kudos to the cast, writers, production people wardrobe, etc! Bravo!

I rewatched this show like 4-5 times
Why cant my tears stop rolling after seeing the last episode of Sheldons speech even after one long year....(Especially Sheldon representing "ASTROUNAT HOWARD WOLOWITZ"....) may be this is the magic of TBBT
I have watched this ending around 100 times but it still gets me everytime I watch it...I guess I am not still over from the big bang theory...

The end of this show is literal perfection. Couldnt think of a better send off. Still cry when I watch it.

Seeing Leonard’s relationship with his mother evolve and come to a head in the end is one of the most satisfying aspects of the entire show. As someone who has a not so great relationship with their own mother it’s nice to see that happen, albeit in a TV show.
This is one of my favourite shows of all time! I love when Lesley says “Happy Birthday Dumbass!” to Sheldon🎈🎉
Buffy cameo in final episode is my favorite
Idk why, but I loved how you could clearly tell all the tears in the final scene were 100% genuine.
