I have never in my life seen a public used microwave look as clean and nice as those ones let alone a public dining area. Once again, I am amazed by Japan and very tempted to move there for that level of respect alone.
Don't be too impressed. If "real" Japanese sources are to be believed, he was only able to do and film all this because he dodged several security guards who would question what he planned to do with all that food. The setup is amazing, no argument, but I imagine the penalty for littering is jail time or worse! Notice how he never spoke? My guess is he didn't want to raise suspicion.
@adrhdz93 Maybe in the big cities of the USA. But small towns can have stuff like this and we do. Many judge the USA on liberal run cities.. violence, vandalism, drug use and crimes. But most the USA is rural, with friendly small towns that respect other people's property. I have a roadside stand with all kinds of fresh produce and a cash box. Done on the honor system. Never was ripped off. Can't do that in the big cities. Lol
That machine vending stuff out of the huge chili monster's backside had me in stitches! What a fun (if crass) design for a vending machine! It looks as though one could eat here every day for months and never have the same dish twice.
7:52 This was my favorite summertime snack/treat when I was a kid!! It’s so old school and I love to see that ppl all around the world still enjoy them. 🥰 My mom would buy a big bunch of the golden (green) moscato grapes every couple of weeks. She’d wash them off, dry them and freeze them in a big Tupperware bowl. I would do the same for my son when he was growing up…. And he’s now 30 years old. So, it’s a treat that my family has enjoyed for at least 45 years. I also enjoy frozen orange slices, frozen banana (round slices), frozen red grapes and frozen kiwi slices. 😋 ✌🏻💕
I would imagine a vending area like this would last about twenty minutes in New York City. The microwave’s would be gone in as much time as it takes to cut the bolts securing them to the racks. Imagine a hanging pair of scissors anywhere in NY! Interesting choices, fries aside, the food looks quite good. Thanks, DancingBacons.
In from NY and im offended, but I also agree, this would never fly here. First of all, someone would burn themselves on an okonomiyaki and sue the city for 4 million dollars, nevermind how quickly those microwaves would disappear. (Your being gracious by suggesting 20 minutes)
I am from Texas and I was very impressed by how hot/humid it gets in Japan. I was there summer of 2001. Oh goodness...very hot. And at the time very few places had icy cold air conditioning that I was used to in America. I enjoyed myself, but the next time I visited Tokyo, we came in the spring. :) We drank a lot of Pocari Sweat, ice cream and CC Lemon. lol
Ah, so probably somewhat similar to a Seattle summer. We watch Arizonan tourists melt for entertainment, despite being a cooler climate because they didn't consider humidity. AC is also less common here- window units are probably the most common form, but probably less than half-a third of people have them. Heating however is essential. Our winters are fairly mild, but everything is so wet that it seems to magnify the cold.
I had a boyfriend from Texas... I miss him a lot but he hurt me any ways... He had such a cute voice... And he was cute as well But too bad that he was a rude boy now...

The vending machines in Japan are so interesting. Not inexpensive but there's a lot of variety in them. If there is a heaven I hope there is a place for vending machines like these.
If your japanese, then you aware how unhealthy vending machine food can be ( Which was known how dense their Carbo is ), people tend to avoid vending machine because healthy food such as fruit and veggie can be expensive in there, and treat sickness could cost a lot of money
i am kind of jealous, so many interesting vending machines in Japan and such variaty. A full meal that can fill me up cost around 6-7 dollars. In Canada( the last time I used vending machines bfre COVID) a drink ( coca-cola) was around 3$ and a pack of chips was 2.50$. Now I would not be surprised if it is higher
Ok I'll get to work making the frozen machines happen for the US market.. not a supplier, just someone who wants to satisfy people.. have to break into the industry
By a few of these do you mean a little asian guy? like dancing bacons? I just say that because I notice you said "the food looks pretty good" like. The food looks pretty good also. Which by that I thought you were referring to the man behind the camera, as the yummy snack... HAHA.. Nice work DB, always bringing us interesting meals and places to buy and eat them. I don't think I can eat as much stuff though, Love your channel. 💕🥓✌
I feel like these places would benefit from also having a toaster oven. Things like french fries get so soggy and other items as well being microwaved. I never realized how useful toaster ovens were until I couldn't access a kitchen to make real food. It definitely makes a difference, especially with fried foods, helps retain that crispiness its supposed to have, rather than being chewy or soggy. I love watching all of your videos, you always give good reviews on things. I especially love the ones where you buy a lot of different items and try them out at home. Thanks for sharing with us!

I wonder why no one questions this? Everyone thinks it's great, but actually isn't it? Neither for people nor for the environment... And this is a very nice Place to eat 😮
One of these days i might have the funds to get over to Japan for a week or two. I'm more than a little sure it'll be an awesome time filled with vending machine fare and nifty little food shops found here.
Most everything looked good to eat. The first dish you got looked incredible. The omelette with noodles looked good too. I'm not as brave as you. I would not have got the pigs feet. I'm amazed still at the vending machines that Japan has.

I quickly came to appreciate Pocari Sweat during Japanese summer weather, for sure! "Super hash"?? Is that Singlish? That last choco waffle dessert looked YUMMY.
Overall Japan is very safe. There is a very low crime rate. It's very common to put something down and you can say go to the bathroom and come back to find the item hasn't been stolen.
I wish we could have Microwaves out in the open like this. But no. First thing they would do is fill it with Trash and Dog Poo and blast it on max settings
I honestly can't imagine how this would work if there was a crowd from the stadium and you had to use the microwave 😮👍🇦🇺 The noodle omelette looked delicious 😋
It all looked delicious! I just so happen to love pigs feet! My dad (in Heaven now) used to get pickled pigs feet to snack on, and I was the only one of me and my siblings that would eat them! We’d slather them with horseradish or wasabi! 😋 ❣️
I love that the vending machines don't judge you. If you were going back to a person to order your 15th meal, the raised eyebrow would be epic.

i'm glad i'm not the only person who freezes grapes. they're basically like a popsicle bite when you freeze them!
Never thought of freezing grapes. First time hearing about that. Sounds good. 😊
