This is honestly so helpful, cause going in release order doesn't indicate difficulty, going by level range or release area (GWD1, GWD 2, etc) doesn't always indicate difficulty either, and the nebulous individual ones like Raksha don't have a logical "Okay I go here now" indicator.
Just remaxed on my main with 99 arch and bought premier after a couple years off. Definitely gonna be getting into bossing. Never really gotten into it besides gwd1 and qbd. This helped a lot in which direction to go thanks man!
While I agree this is a great way to learn.... I think the return (money and skill) of starting at vindi is better. Arch glacors drops are so ass and vindi is more punishing than no mechanic popsicle
@@jacobhelder7009 only mechanics gwd1 really has is arma will knock you back ending channeled abilities. You can use anticipate or freedom to prevent that. Then zammy has a spec attack that hits hard if you have pray, debilitate helps with that, sara leaves lightning on the ground and you walk out of it. Bandos is dumb and swings a weapon at you. Only time these really make a difference is if it’s a lower progressed account.
Just recovered my account last week after 9 years with no access to it. Got a couple hundred total level and some gear, now moving on to questing and bossing. I've managed to kill Arch Glachor 3 Mechanic once and can do 2 Arch Glachor 2 mechanic kills per trip. Really enjoying learning. Thanks for a path!
Just want to point out here that sunshine has a 9x9 area where it buffs your damage. Not just the little 3x3 you see on screen (which is really bad UI stuff, but it's jagex I guess). So you can actually stand further away from your sunshine than most people think. (Easiest way to check if you're in range is the buff bar)

With the recent Rs Wiki boss guides overhaul (work in progress), i feel these guides fit the bill just right. Although it feels like those Boss Tier List with extra steps :s Not your video Protoman, yours was great, i mean the overall ladder/progression thing.
As someone who's trying to get into pvm but is getting encumbered by death costs, this actually fixes my issue with death costs. The bosses I'm trying to getting into are the ones you've listed in the experienced and expert tiers, when I already avoid some of the beginner bosses because I feel annoyed having to deal with their mechanics (because I don't have my pvm foundations established yet).
Personally i found Helwry to be the most helpful beginner boss when it comes to learning mechanics, after that lower enrage Arraxor is a very good entry point to high lvl PVMing; by this point you should be somewhat use to manually pressing your thresholds while revo only takes care of the basic abilities. Mind you, Rax at higher enrage would be in the experience category, I would say that 180% enrage Rax with minion path open is a tougher boss compare to Nex or solo ED2.
@@ronb7189 I 100% agree here. Especially with the "revo takes care of basics"-part. Lots of peeps seem to think that it's a must have to be able to go full manual for some bosses, and though it definitely does help dps, it's not worth the hassle most of the time. Unless you like grinding full manual out of course. Going revo basics with manual thresholds (and ultimates of course) is a lot better to learn a boss, gives you more time to actually think about the mechanics. I can't even dare to think about having to do P4 rax with full manual and prayer flicking...
Helwyr sucks, and nex is the best boss in RS3, at me. XD But jokes and personal preference a side, great video, especially that arch-glacor is really good for beginner, I never really thought of that since I have been playing so long and know the basics.

I absolutely suck at PvM, but I really want to get into it eventually, probably after I'm maxed, and then finish my achievement diary for skills and quests. Bossing is last on the list because it's the one I'm most afraid of LMAO Thanks for this!!
As a guy who used to do nothing but pvp and never bothered with PvM watching this brings me life my friends are elitists when it comes to pvm so im often teased for doing dumb shit or just killing easy bosses to learn my presets and ability’s all over again ranged is my goto since it’s what I’ve being using for nearly two decades but having taking a break and playing other games this game is unforgiving when you come back lmfao this just helps so thanks
"T90 and overloads are minimum" Nex is mid tier boss, it's not even close to experienced. Only issue is blood phase even if it's do-able with less dps but takes more time. Also ice prison is easy, you just pot up with vitality powerburst and you're good to go, literally one click. I've also done nex in crappy gear, and I can tell you it isn't fun even when you know what you are doing. It's one of the bosses most people struggle with despite having t90s. It might be easily doable for us, but it isn't for someone who is "learning" the boss if that makes sense? Edit: The reason I say t90s and overloads as a minimum, is because without them people are going to have a hard time. It's not that it isn't possible :P
Protoxx, just recently found you and have been a big fan. Came back to RS after finally recovering my account. I want to PVM and level as I do so if possible (with skilling bosses as well). What do you recommend? Is there a guide for returning players? I am 100% in on OSRS just not RS3.

i appreciate the video but this seems quite daunting for people. i learned telos just by jumping in. you should mention raksha telos and the other high tier bosses require switches and min maxing if you want to efficiently get kills otherwise people wont want to learn. just food for thought. i watch some of your guides and refer them to my clan mates and they say its too overwhelming. same with the wiki. consider making a for dummies series or simplified series.
Things I’d change: Telos: 0%-99% enrage should be Experienced. 100%+ is probably still Expert. Ambi/ED3: Should definitely be in Expert. I am curious where you’d put Zuk (both NM and HM) and Kerapac HM, though. Otherwise seems good
I wondered why Pacman HM was left off. As well as Zuk - could have been more in depth I thought. Possibly as our guy doesnt do HM Kerapac or Zuk so can't give an honest opinion.
@@TimSmith-bg2hb True! I've only really done Kerapac HM trios, solos seem pointless to me so so far. I didn't include Tzkal-zuk NM and HM because it takes too long to get to zuk for either to really be that useful learning wise. HM is good for reaction based mechanics during the waves though I guess
@@ProtoxxGaming it's weird how it works out! I have so many bosses that I haven't even got one kill at, yet can comfortably do solo Kerapac and mid-enrage Arch Glacor. Fingers crossed for you at Golden Gnomes, easily my favourite RS3 content creator this year.

But yea I started arch glacor, scaling up the mechanics, got a decent hang of it felt pretty good about myself.. then went and tried twin furies and got obliterated lol. It was like I was a goblin fighting a maxed pvm god. Reminded me I am still a massive noob.
Furies get really easy once you get them, down. The attacks will always follow the same pattern so just know when the dash attack is coming and you can be running east to west or north to south. Then when one of them flies up, stand under that one. then for the middle charge thing you just wanna escape to the edge of the room right as the bar is about to expire.
Refined anima core armor because if you lvl refined to lvl 9 and dis you get the normal anima core back plus the comps so it saves a little bit of money. And most people don't do twins so that is why twins are so expensive
"with t70's, we're going to start at gwd2" Me with max stats and t90's who can't last for more than a handful of kills at 3/4 of the gwd1 bosses: "Oh... I see."
I have a harder time with the shadow phase at nex than anything else. The bleed is super annoying. Blood phase if you mess up you can "hide" from Nex during a siphon and she won't attack you til you get close again. So it gives you all the time needed to kill reavers. Definitely unintended but still.
Put melee boots and helm on at the start of the encounter and stand a few spaces away from nex and you won’t get the bleed put on you, switch back over after the shadow phase 👍🏻
Man I feel like I am trash at PVM after watching this. Hardest bosses I have killed are Arraxor, Black Stone Dragon solo, annnd 250% enraged Arch Glacor. I have tier 92 armor in melee and magic and tier 90 armor in ranged and all my weapons are tier 90 but I still struggle with these bosses listed. I wanna beat ED1 solo and Nex but I am afraid I would just die too much.
You’re probably not incorporating enough defensive abilities. Debilitate, reflect, resonance, and devotion are your best friends for high-tier pvm. I’d recommend throwing them on one of your ability bars and starting to use them.
Gear is not the issue then. Looks like you'll need to dive into PVM Rotations, watch "San's" Videos about it, he made an amazing breakdown about the entire PVM thing going from knowledge to gear and switches order and priority. That should change the way you see PVM and your mindset should be the first thing to work on. Secondly, as you can see on the rs guy videos and some other channels doing endgame PVM in trash gear, you realize gear and weapons are never the issue, it's always down to rotations and your knowledge of the boss. You can even do them on Mobile! I have done so and documented almost all solo bosses on Mobile on my channel. You won't find the absolute best PVM rotation however, you will only find the optimal one for you to get at least one kill although not necessarily fast ones, if you want to increase speed you'd need to do manual inputs, know which abilities to use and in which order, how to improvise in case things go wrong. So yeah, there's a lot of things involved than just getting kills at a boss, so the definition of trash is subjective and, sometimes, just harsh because there's no need to be so harsh with ourselves, otherwise you'll end up buying into that mindset.
You just clearly forgot to mention that the “beginner” bosses you usually need soulsplit which is a lvl 92 LATE game curse that takes a verry long time and a ton of gp to achieve
I'm 106 prayer with curses, level 90 ranged, 86 con and 80 strength/def/attack with full Armadyl armor with main and offhand crossbow, ring of vigor, prayer cape, dragon bolts, amulet of fury, extreme potions with recommended combat bar with corruptionshot/death's swiftness and I can't even get any of the listed easy bosses health even close to half before I run out of food and die. Literally 20 seconds in and I'm slamming sarodmin brews, rocktails and super restores none stop. Yeah I think I'm done with bossing already this shit is waaay too hard slayer is much more chill and fun for me
I agree with most, but I think Telos is misplaced. Sub 100% telos is arguably easier than solo nex, and 100-250 probably easier than ED3. I understand putting it in experienced for something like 2449 claims, but then Arch Glacor should also be put in experienced for 200ks streaks.
idk man, Telos and Nex for me are equal, sub 100% that is. The DPS check maybe puts Nex higher but getting used to P4 as a Telos beginner can be annoying. Both fun bosses tho :)
Absolutely not, if you want kills you could do so at the very least with levels 80+ I mean, just look at those Golden Partyhat Alts at the Arch Glacor, look at their stats. However, having 99 helps a lot because you have access to everything and you'd hit more accurately and consistently. Also, it's necessary if you want Speedkills, like: 0.6 Seconds GWD1 Bosses or something similar. So yeah, you should work on your levels, QUESTS (do not neglect them like everyone else), Area Tasks (same as the previous one), and Entry Level Perks should be just fine because they're one of the last things you may want to upgrade. If you cannot afford GWD1 Armour, use Superior Fremennik armour (Skeletal, Spined, Rock Shell), while you work towards better gear.
Check out some guides. They're honestly the best thing you can do to start learning new bosses. Vindicta is easier than Helwyr and Gregorovic, and I would say the Twin Furies are even easier if you bring melee gear with a halberd-type weapon and weapon poison. Have Surge on a keybind (that's going to be useful all the time) and find a world with a lower player count. Your first kill at any boss will always be rough, so don't worry about chomping through food the whole fight.
Even with guides, I can't get it down. Even after sitting there for hours trying to figure it out, it's just a waste of money and resources. I don't know if it's the tick system or what, but I will just drop clicks sometimes or things that should be easily avoidable even when I try to get out of the way of it it'll still catch me and deal like half my health in damage. Even from people taking me, I die every two or three kills.

I'm a melee enthusiast.. got Masterwork Armor and almost done grinding out the spear of Annihilation... For combat switch .. Got attuned crystal bow. Magic I use for practical things..big fan of the lunar spellbook.
Araxxor is my arch nemesis, he has bested me so many times already. But I have hope I will conquer him once. I just killed astellarn for the first time today after 20 tries, so we just need to keep at it
Are you assuming maxed stats here? Because that's the only way I can see god wars 2 being ranked as beginner and even then I'd consider QBD to probably be the most entry level for a maxed person looking to getting into bossing.
I'm assuming the stats I said in the intro. GWD2 Bosses can very much be done with lower stats for learning purposes (the mechanics are super simple). Sure you will have to bank, but it will still provide you with experience and something different to do than just slayer. All in the all tho, higher stats will help a lot, you're right.
can you please explain what you mean when you say "i dont think its ideal for personal development" when referring to group pvm? i know i can attribute a substantial amount of my pvm knowledge to pvming with others, and according to how you described the 4 tiers, ive been expert for about 4 years.
So PvMing with others teaching you is a great way to get better (voice chat only) But large group bosses specifically do not encourage learning unless you're actively trying roles which very few people like to do or can do when first timers. Other roles provide very little to no value. You don't really improve your overall PvM skill as much by opening up chargers at raids, dps at vorago or by picking up some planks at yaka and spamming a pool. I'm aware these are cherrypicked examples by the way. You're much better off trying all kinds of things at a boss where you are the only one responsible for success. Exceptions are roles like poison tank & base tanking many group bosses, but it's easier to just hop in and do a boss solo instantly. My point of carry or be carried should also not be overlooked. You can't grow as a team when you are constantly carrying for someone who slacks, or you can't keep up with a team that's consistently carrying you and making your life much easier and not forcing you to learn. If you're all of equal skill (or about the same) you can grow as a team though.
Oh no. Melee has insane burst damage + good bleeds. I used to use it more, but I just love ranged now. I believe the current power split from best to worst with maxed out gear/BiS stuff is Magic>Ranged>Melee though. FSOA Made magic super strong
Most GWD2 bosses can be done perfectly with melee and are probably easier to learn with melee too. Gregorovic being the exception where range is easier imo, but maybe that's just personal preference. Helwyr is very harsh on the auto skip mechanic, so you'll be in melee distance all the time anyway. I never maged vindy, so maybe that's easily doable as well, just feels better with melee (also skips auto's but less harshly than helwyr). Melee feels better at twin furies due to their bomb thing where you can hit both of them with AoE abilities (using halberd-type weapon) so more DPS.
Blood phase at nex isn't hard at all and you don't actually need good dps since you can just kill her reavers and don't attack her when she's siphoning , and surging away from her when she turns you red

Ambassador is the outlier. That's why you should watch the video with audio. Experienced = Elite dungeon duos/trios or if they really want they can solo, but amby basically fits in the expert section due to it being much harder than nex. The other bosses though, not so much
Yo random question for anybody who might have an answer, I have this interface option that tells me when something buys or sells in the ge separate from my chat box, my chat box also displays the same messages so its rather pointless to have both I cannot seem to figure out how to get rid of the second interface, it has a box to drag it around but even in advanced settings there's no way I can find to turn it off. Any solutions?
I'm no stranger to abilities in MMOs. For some reason, though, my brain breaks when it comes to the abilities in RS. I just very much prefer to stick with revolution. Old-style combat with fancy shit, essentially. Now that I've doubled my level total from when I was a kid and have a set of self-forged masterwork armor and a scythe I recently purchased with saved-up funds from plenty of gathering, I *really* want to try getting into pvm and bossing. Tried Araxxor last night, and managed to just finish the 2nd phase before suddenly getting nuked by an insta-kill spider that slipped my notice. Everything leading up to that point was quite the struggle, too. So I realize I need to improve my character control and wean myself off of revolution. This video certainly helps with the former, but I'm wondering if you have a video that might help with the latter?
Don't attack when araxxor does the leg dwindle animation , it is the spider spawn wait for a bit its 2 regular spiders before it shows the mirror back, it has different rotations on it but mostly the same 2x regulars 1x mirror, second spawn can be the same, and third repeats the same, then you just get regular spiders.
KK solo's would 100% be expert, they require perfect timing. I made a guide on KK solos and it was an awful experience to learn, this is also the reason I didn't include it. Other bosses just do it better
i triued learning araxxor after beating kerapac and trying other bosses and it just feels outdated. i don't really like the fight and its just not fun to learn
I've only attempted solo ambassador a couple times but it seems significantly harder than raksha, who, now that I know how to kill properly, I don't use a single food at
I felt the same way at first but once you work out your own rotation it gets very consistent. As an example you can reso every other mage attack and you will save a TON of food.
helwyr is easy? i spent like an hour on practice and couldn't kill him once with zammy armor, nox staff and overloads (could get first rotation fine but then everything was on cd for next rotation so couldn't cure the bleed or rez the bleed)....maybe bossing isn't the way to go for me lol :D
well it's similar, but you have to worry less about eating food and taking damage from small hits. High hits will still clap you regardless of tank armour or not (ex: raksha)
Idk what it is, but i can not get past the 2nd boss in ed3 solo lol. I just keep dying to it. i haave 14 DTD to use and wanna use them solo @ amby but struggle with it. And i dont mean the mini boss, but the 2nd bigger boss
the second boss really hits hard, so I understand why you're struggling. You could use a dart on it but that might be a waste as with 14 darts you would only be able to kill 7 ambassadors.

Keybind you shield and the resonance ability with two keys next to eachother man! Like: Button 1 & 2 on your keyboard. Whenever u see an attack just quickly tap 1>2 and ur good. (Keybind 3&4 to switch back to your original weapons) Perhaps send me a video of your helwyr attempts through my discord (link in the description) / in the #advice channel and ask for advice on how to improve? I could take a look at what you're doing wrong.

@@ProtoxxGaming I’m not sure the correct terminology. All I know is that they’re always at the spot closest to the bank, with the same overrides, pets, etc. Some have 200m prayer, others are newer. When you stand on their square and start attacking what they’re attacking, they move to another square.

I have completed most bosses on mobile as well as once I do them on my PC I try to learn them on mobile as well. So the arraxor thing does bum me cause he spanks me on PC but hey only like 3 bosses in the game atm drive me nuts. Its just one of the weird ones. I am just not a Arraxor fan :/
@@ProtoxxGaming Due my Job I spend a ton of time in areas without my PC so I had to learn. It was rough at first but I got very used to it and have gotten the UI and rotation down very well. It takes time but it is the same as the computer just without a mouse. Switching weapons or prayers needs to be watched more but yeah its not bad. I have downed Telos on mobile as well Arch Glacier Hard Mode. Not even tried Zuk as a phone screen might be to small for the mass crowd control needed. Virago, Arraxor, and Nex are probably the biggest issues for me in runescape. Idk what I cant get about them and I am well geared. For the record you can take some credit. I use your videos normally to study bosses to plan how to do them on my mobile lol.
maybe about half the bosses or a little less are doable in legacy. The higher end ones with alot of mechanics its a definite no. Defensive abilities are a must for most end game boss fights
@@ProtoxxGaming It's more of a mix between defensive mechanics that makes him immune to damage, unexpected cannons before you have reached 50% adrenaline, and bugs like getting stuck on icicles during beams. The only mechanic that I actually enjoy - flurry, is hardly ever used. What most often happens is as I begin a DPS rotation anticipating a flurry he does minions/core, wasting my thresholds/death's swiftness. Very often he transitions from core straight to minions without any delay. This kind of stall is just not fun for me. At least with Rax there is certainty that you can't get 2 webs in a row. Also, the damage those little balls that minions leave behind do to Arch Glacor is laughable.

Mind you, Rax at higher enrage would be in the experience category, I would say that 180% enrage Rax with minion path open is a tougher boss compare to Nex or solo ED2.
@@ronb7189 I 100% agree here. Especially with the "revo takes care of basics"-part. Lots of peeps seem to think that it's a must have to be able to go full manual for some bosses, and though it definitely does help dps, it's not worth the hassle most of the time. Unless you like grinding full manual out of course. Going revo basics with manual thresholds (and ultimates of course) is a lot better to learn a boss, gives you more time to actually think about the mechanics. I can't even dare to think about having to do P4 rax with full manual and prayer flicking...
Helwyr sucks, and nex is the best boss in RS3, at me. XD

As a guy who used to do nothing but pvp and never bothered with PvM watching this brings me life my friends are elitists when it comes to pvm so im often teased for doing dumb shit or just killing easy bosses to learn my presets and ability’s all over again ranged is my goto since it’s what I’ve being using for nearly two decades but having taking a break and playing other games this game is unforgiving when you come back lmfao this just helps so thanks

Nex is mid tier boss, it's not even close to experienced. Only issue is blood phase even if it's do-able with less dps but takes more time.
Also ice prison is easy, you just pot up with vitality powerburst and you're good to go, literally one click.

I've also done nex in crappy gear, and I can tell you it isn't fun even when you know what you are doing. It's one of the bosses most people struggle with despite having t90s.
It might be easily doable for us, but it isn't for someone who is "learning" the boss if that makes sense?
Edit: The reason I say t90s and overloads as a minimum, is because without them people are going to have a hard time. It's not that it isn't possible :P

i appreciate the video but this seems quite daunting for people. i learned telos just by jumping in. you should mention raksha telos and the other high tier bosses require switches and min maxing if you want to efficiently get kills otherwise people wont want to learn. just food for thought. i watch some of your guides and refer them to my clan mates and they say its too overwhelming. same with the wiki. consider making a for dummies series or simplified series.
Try bibuzda , evil lucario or somebody elses guides, bibuzda setting is my prefered tho, less of intros and no spreadsheeting too much.
Things I’d change:
Telos: 0%-99% enrage should be Experienced. 100%+ is probably still Expert.
Ambi/ED3: Should definitely be in Expert.
I am curious where you’d put Zuk (both NM and HM) and Kerapac HM, though.

True! I've only really done Kerapac HM trios, solos seem pointless to me so so far.
I didn't include Tzkal-zuk NM and HM because it takes too long to get to zuk for either to really be that useful learning wise. HM is good for reaction based mechanics during the waves though I guess

But yea I started arch glacor, scaling up the mechanics, got a decent hang of it felt pretty good about myself.. then went and tried twin furies and got obliterated lol. It was like I was a goblin fighting a maxed pvm god. Reminded me I am still a massive noob.
Keep practicing man, you'll get better. Each boss might be similar but its still different! you got this!
Furies get really easy once you get them, down. The attacks will always follow the same pattern so just know when the dash attack is coming and you can be running east to west or north to south.
Then when one of them flies up, stand under that one.
then for the middle charge thing you just wanna escape to the edge of the room right as the bar is about to expire.
With zammy essences being like 12m each I think twins are more worth doing than ever before

Refined anima core armor because if you lvl refined to lvl 9 and dis you get the normal anima core back plus the comps so it saves a little bit of money. And most people don't do twins so that is why twins are so expensive
Kerapac is also a really good place to learn soul split flicking/priority soul splitting like when he phases.

man i remember back in the day when i had no job doing Rax on a all in one pc at 13 fps. got over 2k kills with that setup
Once I started getting consistent Nex kills bossing become so much more fun.
I have a harder time with the shadow phase at nex than anything else. The bleed is super annoying. Blood phase if you mess up you can "hide" from Nex during a siphon and she won't attack you til you get close again. So it gives you all the time needed to kill reavers. Definitely unintended but still.
Put melee boots and helm on at the start of the encounter and stand a few spaces away from nex and you won’t get the bleed put on you, switch back over after the shadow phase 👍🏻

Man I feel like I am trash at PVM after watching this. Hardest bosses I have killed are Arraxor, Black Stone Dragon solo, annnd 250% enraged Arch Glacor. I have tier 92 armor in melee and magic and tier 90 armor in ranged and all my weapons are tier 90 but I still struggle with these bosses listed. I wanna beat ED1 solo and Nex but I am afraid I would just die too much.
You’re probably not incorporating enough defensive abilities.
Debilitate, reflect, resonance, and devotion are your best friends for high-tier pvm. I’d recommend throwing them on one of your ability bars and starting to use them.

Gear is not the issue then. Looks like you'll need to dive into PVM Rotations, watch "San's" Videos about it, he made an amazing breakdown about the entire PVM thing going from knowledge to gear and switches order and priority. That should change the way you see PVM and your mindset should be the first thing to work on.
Secondly, as you can see on the rs guy videos and some other channels doing endgame PVM in trash gear, you realize gear and weapons are never the issue, it's always down to rotations and your knowledge of the boss. You can even do them on Mobile! I have done so and documented almost all solo bosses on Mobile on my channel.
You won't find the absolute best PVM rotation however, you will only find the optimal one for you to get at least one kill although not necessarily fast ones, if you want to increase speed you'd need to do manual inputs, know which abilities to use and in which order, how to improvise in case things go wrong.
So yeah, there's a lot of things involved than just getting kills at a boss, so the definition of trash is subjective and, sometimes, just harsh because there's no need to be so harsh with ourselves, otherwise you'll end up buying into that mindset.

You just clearly forgot to mention that the “beginner” bosses you usually need soulsplit which is a lvl 92 LATE game curse that takes a verry long time and a ton of gp to achieve

I'm 106 prayer with curses, level 90 ranged, 86 con and 80 strength/def/attack with full Armadyl armor with main and offhand crossbow, ring of vigor, prayer cape, dragon bolts, amulet of fury, extreme potions with recommended combat bar with corruptionshot/death's swiftness and I can't even get any of the listed easy bosses health even close to half before I run out of food and die.
Literally 20 seconds in and I'm slamming sarodmin brews, rocktails and super restores none stop.

I agree with most, but I think Telos is misplaced. Sub 100% telos is arguably easier than solo nex, and 100-250 probably easier than ED3. I understand putting it in experienced for something like 2449 claims, but then Arch Glacor should also be put in experienced for 200ks streaks.
idk man, Telos and Nex for me are equal, sub 100% that is. The DPS check maybe puts Nex higher but getting used to P4 as a Telos beginner can be annoying. Both fun bosses tho :)

Absolutely not, if you want kills you could do so at the very least with levels 80+
I mean, just look at those Golden Partyhat Alts at the Arch Glacor, look at their stats.
However, having 99 helps a lot because you have access to everything and you'd hit more accurately and consistently.
Also, it's necessary if you want Speedkills, like: 0.6 Seconds GWD1 Bosses or something similar.
So yeah, you should work on your levels, QUESTS (do not neglect them like everyone else), Area Tasks (same as the previous one), and Entry Level Perks should be just fine because they're one of the last things you may want to upgrade.
If you cannot afford GWD1 Armour, use Superior Fremennik armour (Skeletal, Spined, Rock Shell), while you work towards better gear.
GWD 2 is beginner now? Well, that's me shagged.

Check out some guides. They're honestly the best thing you can do to start learning new bosses.
Vindicta is easier than Helwyr and Gregorovic, and I would say the Twin Furies are even easier if you bring melee gear with a halberd-type weapon and weapon poison.
Have Surge on a keybind (that's going to be useful all the time) and find a world with a lower player count. Your first kill at any boss will always be rough, so don't worry about chomping through food the whole fight.
Even with guides, I can't get it down. Even after sitting there for hours trying to figure it out, it's just a waste of money and resources. I don't know if it's the tick system or what, but I will just drop clicks sometimes or things that should be easily avoidable even when I try to get out of the way of it it'll still catch me and deal like half my health in damage. Even from people taking me, I die every two or three kills.
Finally someone who explains the game without barking the word (basically) 500 times.... 10/10 bro... Good Guide

I'm a melee enthusiast.. got Masterwork Armor and almost done grinding out the spear of Annihilation... For combat switch .. Got attuned crystal bow. Magic I use for practical things..big fan of the lunar spellbook.
I don't have over loads but I'm probably gonna use berserk blood essence with super melee potion or the better version

Araxxor is my arch nemesis, he has bested me so many times already. But I have hope I will conquer him once. I just killed astellarn for the first time today after 20 tries, so we just need to keep at it

Are you assuming maxed stats here? Because that's the only way I can see god wars 2 being ranked as beginner and even then I'd consider QBD to probably be the most entry level for a maxed person looking to getting into bossing.
I'm assuming the stats I said in the intro. GWD2 Bosses can very much be done with lower stats for learning purposes (the mechanics are super simple). Sure you will have to bank, but it will still provide you with experience and something different to do than just slayer. All in the all tho, higher stats will help a lot, you're right.

i know i can attribute a substantial amount of my pvm knowledge to pvming with others, and according to how you described the 4 tiers, ive been expert for about 4 years.
So PvMing with others teaching you is a great way to get better (voice chat only) But large group bosses specifically do not encourage learning unless you're actively trying roles which very few people like to do or can do when first timers. Other roles provide very little to no value. You don't really improve your overall PvM skill as much by opening up chargers at raids, dps at vorago or by picking up some planks at yaka and spamming a pool. I'm aware these are cherrypicked examples by the way. You're much better off trying all kinds of things at a boss where you are the only one responsible for success. Exceptions are roles like poison tank & base tanking many group bosses, but it's easier to just hop in and do a boss solo instantly.
My point of carry or be carried should also not be overlooked. You can't grow as a team when you are constantly carrying for someone who slacks, or you can't keep up with a team that's consistently carrying you and making your life much easier and not forcing you to learn. If you're all of equal skill (or about the same) you can grow as a team though.

Oh no. Melee has insane burst damage + good bleeds. I used to use it more, but I just love ranged now.
I believe the current power split from best to worst with maxed out gear/BiS stuff is Magic>Ranged>Melee though. FSOA Made magic super strong
Most GWD2 bosses can be done perfectly with melee and are probably easier to learn with melee too. Gregorovic being the exception where range is easier imo, but maybe that's just personal preference. Helwyr is very harsh on the auto skip mechanic, so you'll be in melee distance all the time anyway. I never maged vindy, so maybe that's easily doable as well, just feels better with melee (also skips auto's but less harshly than helwyr). Melee feels better at twin furies due to their bomb thing where you can hit both of them with AoE abilities (using halberd-type weapon) so more DPS.

Blood phase at nex isn't hard at all and you don't actually need good dps since you can just kill her reavers and don't attack her when she's siphoning , and surging away from her when she turns you red

Ambassador is the outlier. That's why you should watch the video with audio.
Experienced = Elite dungeon duos/trios or if they really want they can solo, but amby basically fits in the expert section due to it being much harder than nex. The other bosses though, not so much
Yo random question for anybody who might have an answer, I have this interface option that tells me when something buys or sells in the ge separate from my chat box, my chat box also displays the same messages so its rather pointless to have both I cannot seem to figure out how to get rid of the second interface, it has a box to drag it around but even in advanced settings there's no way I can find to turn it off. Any solutions?

I'm no stranger to abilities in MMOs. For some reason, though, my brain breaks when it comes to the abilities in RS. I just very much prefer to stick with revolution. Old-style combat with fancy shit, essentially. Now that I've doubled my level total from when I was a kid and have a set of self-forged masterwork armor and a scythe I recently purchased with saved-up funds from plenty of gathering, I *really* want to try getting into pvm and bossing. Tried Araxxor last night, and managed to just finish the 2nd phase before suddenly getting nuked by an insta-kill spider that slipped my notice. Everything leading up to that point was quite the struggle, too.
So I realize I need to improve my character control and wean myself off of revolution. This video certainly helps with the former, but I'm wondering if you have a video that might help with the latter?
Use revo for basics only. Ult and thresholds manually. Will help you transition and give you more control over your damage.

Don't attack when araxxor does the leg dwindle animation , it is the spider spawn wait for a bit its 2 regular spiders before it shows the mirror back, it has different rotations on it but mostly the same 2x regulars 1x mirror, second spawn can be the same, and third repeats the same, then you just get regular spiders.

Add kalphite king solo into the expert or hard. At least that was everyones experience mostly.
KK solo's would 100% be expert, they require perfect timing. I made a guide on KK solos and it was an awful experience to learn, this is also the reason I didn't include it. Other bosses just do it better

i triued learning araxxor after beating kerapac and trying other bosses and it just feels outdated. i don't really like the fight and its just not fun to learn

Hard mode Kerapac and hard mode verago are the only two group fights that have hard mode only drops.

I felt the same way at first but once you work out your own rotation it gets very consistent. As an example you can reso every other mage attack and you will save a TON of food.
What about on mobile? Either I'm too boomer to use my phone effectively or high level pvm is damn near impossible

helwyr is easy? i spent like an hour on practice and couldn't kill him once with zammy armor, nox staff and overloads (could get first rotation fine but then everything was on cd for next rotation so couldn't cure the bleed or rez the bleed)....maybe bossing isn't the way to go for me lol :D

well it's similar, but you have to worry less about eating food and taking damage from small hits. High hits will still clap you regardless of tank armour or not (ex: raksha)

Idk what it is, but i can not get past the 2nd boss in ed3 solo lol. I just keep dying to it. i haave 14 DTD to use and wanna use them solo @ amby but struggle with it. And i dont mean the mini boss, but the 2nd bigger boss
the second boss really hits hard, so I understand why you're struggling. You could use a dart on it but that might be a waste as with 14 darts you would only be able to kill 7 ambassadors.
Makes me feel old to think GWS1 aren't even considered bosses worthwhile anymore lmao.

Keybind you shield and the resonance ability with two keys next to eachother man! Like: Button 1 & 2 on your keyboard. Whenever u see an attack just quickly tap 1>2 and ur good. (Keybind 3&4 to switch back to your original weapons)

@@ProtoxxGaming I’m not sure the correct terminology. All I know is that they’re always at the spot closest to the bank, with the same overrides, pets, etc. Some have 200m prayer, others are newer. When you stand on their square and start attacking what they’re attacking, they move to another square.

@@ProtoxxGaming Due my Job I spend a ton of time in areas without my PC so I had to learn. It was rough at first but I got very used to it and have gotten the UI and rotation down very well. It takes time but it is the same as the computer just without a mouse. Switching weapons or prayers needs to be watched more but yeah its not bad. I have downed Telos on mobile as well Arch Glacier Hard Mode. Not even tried Zuk as a phone screen might be to small for the mass crowd control needed. Virago, Arraxor, and Nex are probably the biggest issues for me in runescape. Idk what I cant get about them and I am well geared. For the record you can take some credit. I use your videos normally to study bosses to plan how to do them on my mobile lol.
So legacy combat folk can’t do pvm
maybe about half the bosses or a little less are doable in legacy. The higher end ones with alot of mechanics its a definite no. Defensive abilities are a must for most end game boss fights

I absolutely despise Arch-Glacor (HM), it's the worst boss in the game for me. Together with Rax, both of them just grate on my nerves too much.
What mechanics specifically do that? Beams?
@@ProtoxxGaming It's more of a mix between defensive mechanics that makes him immune to damage, unexpected cannons before you have reached 50% adrenaline, and bugs like getting stuck on icicles during beams.
The only mechanic that I actually enjoy - flurry, is hardly ever used. What most often happens is as I begin a DPS rotation anticipating a flurry he does minions/core, wasting my thresholds/death's swiftness. Very often he transitions from core straight to minions without any delay. This kind of stall is just not fun for me. At least with Rax there is certainty that you can't get 2 webs in a row. Also, the damage those little balls that minions leave behind do to Arch Glacor is laughable.
