My parents went through a phase where they gave my sister and I Christmas presents that were restored coin banks or ceramic things. I had this exact same bank... just painted differently. Not really something an 8 year old girl is thrilled with.
I don't think so. IF she's using wire hangers, she really doesn't give a care. Throwing her clothing down like that, well maybe that gets him in trouble. A class lady uses wooden or at least wide plastic hangers.
I watch your videos with my daughter when they come out over a bed time story. She loves to see the restorations come to life and I think they are very educational. We both love your content.
That was amazing!!! It's a privilege to watch you ply your skills on these projects. It's so nice to see a craftsman who truly cares about his/her outcome; that's a rarity in our "throw it away" society here in the States. Bravo, and thanks for another great video. Be well, stay safe and God bless. Rev. D.
Glad I spotted this before bed. What a great restoration. Not just the work, and the detail. The piece is irreplaceable. Now it is better than new. Wonderful job my friend. Especially for such a rare piece.
My grandfather had this bank too!! He collected several like this, and remember playing with it as a child, loving to watch the dog jump through the hoop! Thank you for bringing back this memory ❤
I like intros like that. I also really like the panning shots, showing the item. The stripped screw trick is new to me, I'm going to have to try that some time. Very enjoyable editing in this video, too, by the way! No jokes (this time), just praising the talent and care that goes into this sort of work!
What an amazing thing. She pleases the eye, entertains and even predicted the future! The clown, the fundraiser, these colors... I'm extremely surprised! Thanks for the restoration. Thank you for the video! I wish you success!👍👍👍👍
It blows my mind that you just MAKE new parts! My mind cannot even phantom where to start and you’re like busting it out like it’s no biggie! I’m always intrigued, curious and amazed at your videos!
I love these, wizard behind the curtain. Type things. At beginning looks so complicated. Then taken apart, is springs and wire - so simple. Great restoration work. Always remembering, which piece goes where.
OMG I have this EXACT bank! I got it as a birthday present many years ago. Aside from some color differences, and mine is missing the hoop, it’s in great condition. I’ve been waiting to see if anyone was ever going to restore one of these! Great job. PS-I like your color choice better than how mine came!
My grandma use to take me to this antique shop when I was little n there was a whole shelf of these lil trick banks, some in better condition than others but it sparked a luv of classic things XD
I’ll never get tired of watching your restoration, they’re all so relaxing to watch, and seeing the end product from what it was before is extremely satisfying!
Awesome restoration. This is my favorite bank...have never owned one but this is the one I would have wanted. The Phillips screws date this bank to no earlier than 1932, but most probably after 1936, unless it was older and restored once before...
Watching this video brought back all kinds of memories. My grandfather had a nice collection of cast-iron banks, and he had one like this. I think that my sister inherited it. I got the magician one that reminded me of him. ❤️
My great-grandpa had a small collection of mechanical coin banks. One looked like this one. I had forgotten all about them until I saw this video. He had a bunch of neat things in his home, including a slot machine, some furbies, and a bowl of candy that he left out for when his great-grandchildren visited.
I worked in a museum and in a second hand shop. I won't talk about the "restoration" which happens in museums, because it is a crime... but when it comes to antiques, or even old things, I understand "restoration" to mean adding value. I don't just mean that something which has been properly restored can be sold for more; everything has a story and a careful and loving restoration adds to that story.
This was so much fun to watch. My dad had one of these when he was young and I used to play with it when I visited his mom with him at her home. Great memories brought back.
This is easily one of my favorites! I love seeing moving parts restored to moving the way they were intended to. Fantastic work on the new stopper, and perfect choices for paint too. Thank you good sir!
Very cool project and nice machining on that brass part!
"I make a new one" :)
You have great content my mechanics!
Thank you very much my mechanics 😍😍😍
Just friggin awesome! It's soul soothing watching your vids.
You are kind to say that Aussie 😇 thanks
I love how all the different restoration channels are so interconnected and supportive of one another
Yeah..that’s mean peace 🙏🏻

I honestly as a 12 year old right now, would love this
I too have this coin bank. It's in alot better condition though and i found it in a cigar box.
@John Barber woah
I always got socks and or underwear.
My gram would always get us pajamas. Would've rather had a coin bank 😅
I just can't get over how creative you are. I'm addicted to these videos.
🥰🥰🥰 thanks again Seth
La final restaurată ,este mai bună ca ,,fabricat,, .

Thank you very much Brianna 🤗
This makes me so happy and sadly nostalgic at the same time. I used to have so many of these types of banks when I was a kid
Then you has a nice childhood 😇

ya you can just see twain by his thumb
Not irreplaceable at all. It's a mid-20th century repro. Lots of them out there to purchase.
It was so rusty I didn’t think it would have something left to restore. Amazing work!
Thank you very much Larissa 😊 glad you liked it
This is great! I had this exact bank when I was a kid. Don’t know what happened to it. Thank you for the restoration!
Glad you liked and thank you also for watching Mike 👍🏻🍻😎
Mike, I still have mine! (It's a 1970's repro) but I still love it! CAR, excellent job! It looks better than mine! And mine is in great condition!
Thank you very much Desdinova 😎🤗
Is the colouring like the Original?
Very nice job on this one! Someone showed me trick with bicycle tube around 15 years ago and I completely forgot! Thanks for bringing this back 😄
My name is : david. David Reminder 😅😅😅😅 ah,and I forgot : 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
A fabulous little money box given the restoration it deserves. Loved the video.

I liked that little stop motion with the base walls.

@@CoolAgainRestoration No prob. I know how tedious doing all of the frames can be and how much work is put into it, no matter how long it is.
My grandparents had mechanical coin banks in their rec room, when I was growing up. We would raid my parents for all coins so we could work them.
Same!

@@CoolAgainRestoration true words!
really lovely restauration though❣️
I can’t believe this. I inherited this exact bank from my great-grandmother (only, I believe the hoop broke off). This is surreal.
I wish Titanic can be brought back from ocean floor and can be handovered to this guy for restoration.. 😊
You are so kind to say that.. thanks for appreciation 🤗
Love watching these old mechanical banks being restored.
Thank you Paul, glad you liked it
That’s pretty cool! I actually have the same coin bank and you did a good job, even if the colors are a bit off.
Thanks Nick 👍🏻🤗
I think the dog should be brown
It's cool seeing old and rusted stuff renewed. Instead of stuff that looks like was rusted just for the camera.
