David Berry, like Sam, is so very different from the character he plays in personality, it’s a great reminder of what excellent actors they are, because they both totally inhabit the characters. So fun to see David in this interview, thank you! And SO relieved and happy to know he’ll be back!
Wow, I didn't know that. His Lord John accent is so well done, because it sounds so authentically posh for the time period. His real accent still sounds a bit posh as well, even though I can hear that slight Aussie twang in his voice. 👍👍
Love seeing more Lord John Grey! 💞 The character of Lord John is beautifully rich and complex. Incredibly written and portrayed by Berry. As Brianna says to him, "You make impossible for others not to like you." Even after knowing Grey's proclivities, we are drawn to his gravitas, his loyalty and humanity. Bravo, David Berry! 👏👏👏👏👏

If you've read the books then Sweet John has to be back, he plays some significant parts, even when they're quick. So far they need Mr. Barry even through book 9, and it looks like he'll have a highlight part in book 10.
@@cameo86 You're right, this could be a bad end for him. But he's been told about Claire and Bree, what they are, and though he thinks it an outrageous idea so far, it could mean something. If he comes to believe it I'd like to see that discussion between him and Jamie.
Based on the books, there will be A LOT more John Grey and William. If we're lucky enough to have a couple more seasons... They've done some abbreviating but the story is essentially close to the novels (which are phenomenal).

I do grieve that such deep storylines have to be rushed because of the shortened season. But the outlander writers do it best when needed.
