In Canada that ‘living in the bush’ thing doesn’t work. Those days are over. Here nothing grows for eight months of the year. For those living in the northern latitudes have to be well organized. You need machinery and technology in order to survive because nature at this latitude will kill you if you’re not well organized. That’s how Europeans are wired. The land in Africa is too forgiving. There is no winter in Africa. So there is no need to get organized, do the maintenance and keep things happening on time.
