In this episode I'm talking about the basics of the Slot operation in the FreeCAD Path (it has recently been renamed CAM) workbench.
It is very useful when you want quickly make slots with your CNC or as base for more complex operations such as patterns.
You can also use it to carve different lines, but you should take care preparing the object to be cut.

I'll take a closer look at it when I have everything setup to mill. A channel or slot can be used as a guide for a movement of a bar in and out of a position. It looks like there could be a learning curve for the software so I cetainly appreciate this.
