That light is genius! I could probably use my camping head torch and hang it around my neck! I just watched all of Lisa's videos and got a lot of great tips. Thanks for sharing :-) I also have an iron with a steam reservoir. I purchased it to iron my hubbys business shirts but it lives in my sewing room! I find it fantastic for quilting.
love the light must get one of thoes
what is the name of the light and where do we get it? I can't understand it on the video. would you also give us a written list of the notions and where to get them. thanks
I love the simplicity of the ruler that Lisa uses for marking her quilt with the Hera Marker. I can see that it is a Creative Grids ruler, but can you tell me the dimensions?
want to find the tape to assist with those 1/4" seams...and this sea bands! Have
never seen those but must research for next cruise!
Diane Motley You can find them here: Painters Tape: amzn.to/1yrRDl6 & Sea Bands: amzn.to/1Htflzn Thanks for watching!
thank you
I have quite a few favorites: binding clips, 24 needles, Steam A Seam lite. Would like to know what kind of iron that is, where to buy it, and is it lightweight? I have trouble with my hands when using a heavy iron.
Hi Kim, I love the pinwheel quilt behind you and Lisa, can you give me the dimensions.
Thank you, Barbara
I have to have glass head pins for ease of pressing and wonderclips for binding.
Can you tell me a little more about the tape you use to mark your scant 1/4 inch for sewing? I loved this segment. Thanks for sharing.
Camille Mendel We are using regular painter's tape to mark our seams. We will actually be posting a video for the exact instructions in a few weeks. So stay tuned!
the tape in the video has creases, and looks very different from painters tape. It is also referred to as a bumper to get the 1/4 inch seam. (Minute 5:53)
I saw someone make this on a different video, they stack many layers of painters tape on top of each other to create height and then cut them. I don't remember what was used to cut the layers, maybe an exacto knife.

I agree it looks way different then painters tape. It’s a lighter color, looks thicker & creased. ??? I’m confused.
Great video. If only your guest spoke more clearly I could figure out what scissors she's praising. I really want a good pair of scissors so I replayed several times, went to the notions url but still couldn't find it.
Margaret Williams She spoke of two different ones here: Thread Cutters: amzn.to/1GKItDc
Dovo Scissors: amzn.to/1GKIdnH Always make sure to check the description section of the videos, we do our best to list all the products mentioned. Thanks for watching!
Fat Quarter Shop Thanks! DOVO! I was guessing "Deaville" and "Stoville". I'm fairly new to all this and have a lot to catch up on. Love the tutorials!
Fat Quarter Shop back to baby sweaters
What is the brand of iron that you use and does it turn itself off every seven minutes (this drives me crazy by the way)!!! Would love to get my hands on those "C" bands - is that how you spell them? Thank you for your time!! Linda Braun
Linda Braun Hi Linda - the iron used is the Rowenta Steam Station found here: amzn.to/1cwhgr9 you can find more in the description section. I do not believe it shuts off that quickly but am not 100% sure. Also the bands you are referring to are called, Sea-Bands found here: amzn.to/1Htflzn Thanks for your questions!
What is brand and name of the iron you use?
+MsTotallyU We use a Rowenta Steam Station found here: amzn.to/1cwhgr9
You talk about the description section of the vide to look up the notions. Where is that?
Mary Hawk Right under the video, you will see a section that says "Published on Apr 15, 2015" simply click the "show more" section and there you will see the links. Please let me know if you are not seeing this. Thanks for watching!
I did that but then it just takes me to fat quarter site to shop. No list....
confused
Please, please, please (when showing favorite notions) slow down and actually SHOW the actual notion you're talking about. You know what you're talking about BUT we don't. Make the notions clearer for us to know what you're talking about. SLOW DOWN !!
Nancy Bowers Thank you for your comment. It is hard to pack all of the notions in a short concise video. If we were to demonstrate every notion the video would be 20 minutes long. However, if you are interested in any of the products shown in this video, check out the description section of each and every video. There we supply you with links to all the products so you can learn more. Thanks for watching!
Nancy Bowers I thought was me, I had to cut the video speed down by 25%...but liked the video. Your point was good, ..:-)
Fat Quarter Shop Quilters are cool with longer vieeo, not like other types of crafts..lol...good video tho, just take a few secs more...smiles.
