Besides each couple having their own story, I do also see it as a collective development: YooJung's "Begin" was about a secret crush, KB's "Be Free" was about a hook up, JunJi's "Be Mine" shows the beginning of a relationship, and now Rie's "Because" show happiness mixed with insercurities within that relationship... - I am so exited to see Nine and Mills story unfold, and how it ties into that development; I swear to God, I am gonna cry if they show us a wedding at the end 😭Still hoping for it though 🙏
In his live, Rie said he cried for real 🥺😭 and that a lot of the bed scene was just them improv-ing with the camera. Also, some people who can both speak Korean and read lips say that in the crane scene Rie tells JunJi he thinks they should break up, and that's why JunJi gets mad and leaves. Who knows? 🤷♀️ I wonder if the cafe scene in JunJi's mv is them finalising the break up with a last kiss, or whether that's them reconciling and getting back together? Or if the pool scene is the reconciliation? Once again 🤷♀️ Edited to add: watching it with you was the first time I noticed how the light through the glass in the bedroom and the water drops in the pool scene are both creating a rainbow prism. Nice!
In the first pool scene Rie is wearing the same sweater like in the begin of this MV so I think that's when they met after their argument and that leads to the scene at the cafe/bar where they are making up. The cranes have something to do with patience or so (not really sure) and I think Junji lost his patience in waiting for Rie to take their Relationship further/go public; Rie is happy just as they are. Rie then thinks about their good moments together e.g. the second pool scene where they kissed and after he cried he goes back to that pool where he meets Junji... And we are at the beginning again.🙂
“Cake and peaches”…I died. Did I know there was a whole peach cobbler back there, no I did not, does it make sense that Junji is my bias compared to other biases I have, yes…yes it does. I ran the emotional gamut watching this one because I kept trying to figure out the order of things and then going back and watching Junji’s again for stuff I’ve missed. Another amazing song, the Be’s literally have their own mini separate playlist that I listen to in order all the time.
I agree with some of the comments that JunJi is the more impulsive, emotional, and hot-headed side, and Rie is the more rational, analytical, and slower side. I do think it is a happy ending, which was the sunset phone booth scene from be mine. Rie called JunJi, and JunJi was there for Rie too. That scene did not show up in Rie's flashback-oriented MV, and Rie's apologetic face in the phone booth can be explained.
The fact that the scene where Junji takes the camera is improvised and Rie smiled for real because he didn`t expect Junji to do that is so precious for me also...Call me by your name...it has so much of the energy of the movie to eve ho here if we are correct we see mixed moments and the coffeshop kiss is the end of the conflic where Rie acceps himself and decides he won`t hide
It is believed that when you make 1000 paper cranes, you are symbolising your love for that person given that you put your time and energy into making those. Plus, they are a symbol of loyalty, good fortune and magic, and making 1000 of them grants you a wish
😍😍😍 I love it!! I share similar thoughts with you about what’s going on between them. Apparently, they changed JunJi’s description under his video and Rie said in the most recent live, if you watch both JunJi and his MV right after, you’ll be able to catch why they argued. My theory is JunJi is all in and might be moving too fast for Rie as this seems to be Rie’s first time with someone like this and experiencing things feelings and he becomes overwhelmed with everything and can’t totally process how he feels and JunJi can’t accept that. And ME 🙋🏾♂️ I knew! I been knew JunJi had cake for dayyyss!!! Lol.
Ahhh so it’s Junji that you think is all in, not Rie. I guess that would make sense since he was the one pursuing him to begin with. I was just by Rie’s lyrics thinking it was the opposite way. I hope the pool is the ending scene though, and not the crying! 🥺🥰 And that cake!!! Damn!! 😝😏🍰🍑
well maybe the reason for the fight was junji kissing rie in public? because thats the last scene in "be mine" and rie kind of wants to stay low key while junji wants to be out and proud. hmm idk i have a million theories on this story
@@saywhatreacts Yup, I believe this is told in flashbacks kinda. You can tell in Rie’s face when he’s standing in the Phone Booth in JunJi’s video that’s something isn’t right. There’s a wall between them ie the phone booth glass and even in the cafe when JunJi is singing, Rie is on the opposite side of the glass. In Rie’s video , the first pool scene, he’s wearing the same sweater that he was in the end of JunJi’s video, which I think he met him there at the pool after their day and night together from JunJi’s video, they were to the cafe, JunJi kissed him, Rie is unsure of his feelings, talks to JunJi, JunJi freaks out and after pondering on the memories of the time they spent together, they meet again at the pool and come together again by the end and smooch underwater haha. That’s my thought! No clue if it’s accurate but I think i’m on to them!
@@saywhatreacts some people think the ending scene is actually that beginning scene of their kiss in the cafe! Because they’re wearing the same outfits as the phone booth scene in be mine and the other pool scene, not the one where they kissed, so people think like they fought and then rie went to the pool to either relive the memories or find junji, then they went to the cafe together and reconciled and kissed- i do think that has significance too that they kissed in public in front of a huge window, because all their other scenes of affection and intimacy were private, so maybe that’s part of the problem like rie struggling to feel comfortable being more public but then he shows junji he is committed and wants to truly be with him by allowing the kiss to happen in public
timeline explanation: i think it starts sith the scene in the bed, then we get the part with them arguing. Junji leaves and rie is crying on the couch. he remembers all the moments that have already played as well as the pool moment with him in the blue sweater. but I think the pool scene with the button down shirts is after the crying since it ends on the pool instead of the couch. i sort of thought that because they have the part before swimming where their both just sitting there thinking. hopefully they have resolved some things but there's obviously more communication that has to happen. anyway, the song is so good, and the mv is as well, even though it made me sob 😀👍
It's such a beautiful song. Vocals and visuals are amazing. I can't wait to see what Nine and Mill's videos surely they will be even hotter goes those guys are young and daring. 😂😂
Forgot to mention that the OOO official channel has added the English subtitle to the reaction video. Usually, they will have the subs added within a day or two if not immediately.
lyons and ooo and even junji are indeed aware of junji being thique hhhh also rie's acting is too good, the crying scenes break my heart 💀😭 rie refuses to tell us anything about the story or the ending atm so we're not quite sure if it ends with the break up or if they made up again etc... either way it's so beautifully made.. and rie must've worked on his singing so much bc he doesn't usually belt like that, he has a very airy tone naturally! i'm super proud of him
Love this song! The whiplash in this MV is a lot. Happy, sad, happy, sad, lust, sad.🤭 The way I was cackling at your cake dinner with a side of peaches. I can’t.🤣🤣 I did kinda think the ending pool scene was then getting back together but it’s hard to really tell. I really hope they continue these stories in future MVs. I need to know more about both these two and Yoojung/KB.😭 Love the album idea..let’s ✨manifest!✨Also really excited for Nine/Mill since we’ve only really seen them as a triangle back with Love in Libido. Now we’ll get their story and I can’t wait.😊 *they will eventually have subs on the reaction video. It just takes them a while to be added.😊
Oh my, LOVED the reaction♥️😆, god did they break our hearts twice, first KB and now Rie🥺 All the boys also did a reaction to it, omg that was so adorable and HILARIOUS 😂♥️
I personally love the song because of course I do, it's OnlyOneOf, it's addictive and catchy, so much so I've been listening to it nonstop, but I must admit that while I can ignore my gripe with this I didn't love the "call me by your name" part at first, I absolutely despise that book/movie so it's very hard for me to not have a pretty negative reaction to anything referencing it but since I love OOO and the song is so good I completely removed any connection my brain and that part has with the book/movie so now that phrase belongs to OOO and Rie, they invented it lol As for what's happening in the MV, in their reaction to the MV Rie says they explain the story and what happened in the fight scene in the Behind the Scenes video, so we just have to wait a little bit until it's posted to find out. I have my theories regarding it but I rather wait to see if I'm right about anything, but I will say that my theory for the end is that Junji showed up at the pool, which is why Rie looks behind the camera, so unless the Behind the Scenes video reveals anything this is what I'm going to go with, for my sanity and heart's sake. Oh, and I believe there are 3 pool scenes, the ones with the two of them happened prior to the fight, the kiss one being a very important one to Rie, which explains why it's the one he keeps remembering, and then the one where he's alone at the pool right at the end happens after the fight, and it's most likely him going there because he misses Junji. About the cranes, I don't know why they're using cranes because they haven't said anything as far as I know, but there are a few meanings I'm aware of: one is cranes mate for life and are a symbol of longevity, so I'd guess their use here implies the guys' desires to stay together and how strong their relationship is, though more cranes and a better quality paper doesn't mean it'll be a better relationship, but I'll get back to that; another meaning has Japanese origins and it's called "Senbazuru" (lit. 1000 cranes) and it says that if you fold a lot (not necessarily 1000) paper cranes then you'll be granted a wish by the gods, though some stories say that you'll be granted eternal happiness and good luck instead of a wish. Nowadays it's common practice to gift people paper cranes to wish them well in something, be it regarding their health, work, relationships, etc.; I recommend you to research about it, it's really interesting. Back to the number of cranes and paper quality in regards to the MVs, if you notice Yoojung and KB's are very few and crudely made with what looks like candy wrapper, while Junji and Rie's are a lot in number and made using origami paper. Personally I view that Yoojung and KB went into things a bit more cautiously, the cranes may be made in a more crude way but you can see they're made with a lot of care and love, Yoojung folded them because he enjoys doing so, and I believe they represent how their relationship is not a perfect one but that it's an important one that must be cared for, as seen by how gentle both of them are when handling them, so even if they had bumps along the way they managed to build a solid relationship despite its foundations not being the most stable ones because it was much more than just wanting to be together, it was about wanting to understand each other and make things work despite any differences. Meanwhile Junji and Rie jumped head first in things, to me the huge amount of cranes made of high-quality paper that is just left in a box on the table means they didn't care how fast they moved, they just wanted to be together regardless, they didn't take time to truly understand each other and slowly build something strong, and as you can see when Junji slaps the boxl throwing all cranes on the ground and literally stepping on several of them plus Rie not picking them up may show they didn't think about how their relationship is built, how even though the paper is good and there are a lot of cranes doesn't mean they are any less fragile, to me the cranes represent how they took things for granted, that they believed that just because they like each other and want to be together that nothing can get in the way even though that's not how it works. It's fine if the paper cranes are well-crafted and made by using very good paper, but if one forgets how important the work that is put into creating them then they can't last, they end up being forgotten. Sorry for going on a tangent again lol I always do that in your comment sections D:
