Last year I used Tristan base marqueese Chris and bjlinca. I would go back to that but they took those two out the game. Trey Burke for my guard gone too smh
It's personal, it depends on your latency online. You can't really trust the visual cues and you need to get used to the latency in each and every different mode. It affects many animations, not just standing shots. Only free throws aren't affected. I almost put my meter back since there are so many variables... and maybe i will if they can't fix their servers. It's gonna be a long year.
See if you can’t trust visual cues then people start going off muscle memory and now muscle memory has be ruined to the grown with these new changes to green windows. It’s so stupid

I feel you, i think im going to try push this year, i usually use set point but its much slower this year, every time i release, it says slightly early.
I'm not going to lie I think I'm naturally a set point player because of 24. So I've already built up the strength on how to identify that type of release point. Sticking with it and it's working so far
been wondering about switching to set-point bc sometimes I react to contests by releasing the shot button early (on push) and maybe gettn used to an earlier cue would reduce the likelihood of me doing that -- any base/releases you recommend for set-point jumpers?
The latency is probably the biggest issue. The game is great so far. My court , theater, and Rec are not the same. Everytime I try a different jump shot and go to try it in my court I always miss in the other game modes smh. Thank you for your content I will try this and see what happens

IMO Set point is superior Releasing at the top of the jump can be seen at every angle . While using Push from top of the key is a challenge because you don’t get the same view . Unless you use broad cast camera

Tutes very quick question! I would like to know, when you are customizing your visual cue in jumpshot creator, what is the exact visual cue for ex. Push. Like is the tip of the bar on the line exactly push? Or one after. I heard some TH-camrs talking abt it, but I’m still unsure.

Could you do a video breaking down rhythm shooting? I'm getting used to it but I still have no idea what makes push timing different than tempo? Like if my push timing's right how in the world is my tempo not lol
My understanding is... The push timing is like normal timing. Gotta push forward when it's time to release. Same as letting go of square when it's time to release. The tempo... Now that's how fast you actually do the whole motion. If you have a super slow jumper then you'll be pulling down slowly and pushing forward slowly while also pushing forward at the right time. A faster jumper then your pull down and push up morning will be faster. That's my take on it.
Damn fr all I’ve done with push if just wait for the ball to be at head level and release the right jump shot helps but this was extremely helpful I’ve missed a few here and there but this was definitely solid advice
in my opinion, jump is the best visual cue for me, it’s like old 2k’s you release at the height of the jump, it’s the quickest and easiest to time for me
Thanks for all you do! Are you able to test and show the range of how much each tick on the custom visual cue bar corresponds to the latency? Ex: if you put the custom visual cue exactly halfway between push and release, it accounts for (x) ms of latency. I actually figured out my own sweet spot shortly before seeing this vid but now I’m just generally curious.
Set point is my favorite and having the right fade or hop shot makes it even smoother and fun to play on my SG build, I got T Mac base jumpshot from last year since I shot 78% from 3 last year in the rec on 6 attempts

Book's fade was nice last year, feel like it has a large green window, but still tryna badge up to rlly get a feel for what's good. I'm hoping pro2 pull-up treats me right, but I miss the days when I could use the Nate Robinson pull-up (now it's height locked) bc it was perfect 4 me

Last year i was shooting 65-70% with an 80 3 ball.. 55-60% with a 76 3 on an interior finishing big This year shooting 40% with an 87 3 ball so far 😂🤦♂️😭👎🏼

2K family, turn that garbage meter off and watch your player as you shoot. Change the settings based on where you want to release the ball. Ex: I always wear a headband, I like to release the ball right after it goes over my headband. With any jumper I make, I customize it so that it releases there. The meters will mess you up

Tutes, can you determine which court in the city has the same or close to the input delay of REC? You cant really set the mycourt to rec timing unless you play 1v1, 2v2, HORSE, etc. Im stressin here. Need help.

Yeah my latency is big for me, so I set mines between set point and push, for I'm so use to it being fast and I'm always customizing my jumpshots to be fast either A or A+. I'm making some shots, but it's still a guessing game for those times when playing online and the gameplay delays my command to shoot abt 1-2 ms and I'm thrown off and held the button for too long.😢

If you’re practicing your jump shot on my court you can change the settings to rec, pro am, etc. so the timing is the same or close.

I use 1-3 notches before push. I always felt that the final moments of the set point being the green window just made the most sense to me

Tutes very quick question! I would like to know, when you are customizing your visual cue in jumpshot creator, what is the exact visual cue for ex. Push. Like is the tip of the bar on the line exactly push? Or one after. I heard some TH-camrs talking abt it, but I’m still unsure.
If the feedback says late, you move your bar to the right. If says early, you move to the left. Try move just 3 or 4

Could you do a video breaking down rhythm shooting? I'm getting used to it but I still have no idea what makes push timing different than tempo? Like if my push timing's right how in the world is my tempo not lol
My understanding is... The push timing is like normal timing. Gotta push forward when it's time to release. Same as letting go of square when it's time to release. The tempo... Now that's how fast you actually do the whole motion. If you have a super slow jumper then you'll be pulling down slowly and pushing forward slowly while also pushing forward at the right time. A faster jumper then your pull down and push up morning will be faster. That's my take on it.
Damn fr all I’ve done with push if just wait for the ball to be at head level and release the right jump shot helps but this was extremely helpful I’ve missed a few here and there but this was definitely solid advice

in my opinion, jump is the best visual cue for me, it’s like old 2k’s you release at the height of the jump, it’s the quickest and easiest to time for me

Thanks for all you do! Are you able to test and show the range of how much each tick on the custom visual cue bar corresponds to the latency? Ex: if you put the custom visual cue exactly halfway between push and release, it accounts for (x) ms of latency. I actually figured out my own sweet spot shortly before seeing this vid but now I’m just generally curious.
Set point is my favorite and having the right fade or hop shot makes it even smoother and fun to play on my SG build, I got T Mac base jumpshot from last year since I shot 78% from 3 last year in the rec on 6 attempts

Book's fade was nice last year, feel like it has a large green window, but still tryna badge up to rlly get a feel for what's good. I'm hoping pro2 pull-up treats me right, but I miss the days when I could use the Nate Robinson pull-up (now it's height locked) bc it was perfect 4 me

2K family, turn that garbage meter off and watch your player as you shoot. Change the settings based on where you want to release the ball.
Ex: I always wear a headband, I like to release the ball right after it goes over my headband. With any jumper I make, I customize it so that it releases there.
The meters will mess you up

The biggest shooting tip I can give is get good with using the tempo shots just may change your life.

If you really struggle with latency at times and also with animation timings, I find that release works well. No matter what you use.

Yeah my latency is big for me, so I set mines between set point and push, for I'm so use to it being fast and I'm always customizing my jumpshots to be fast either A or A+. I'm making some shots, but it's still a guessing game for those times when playing online and the gameplay delays my command to shoot abt 1-2 ms and I'm thrown off and held the button for too long.😢
