I wouldn't say Gashi is the first albanian to openly embrace who he is. Mario Dedivanovic publicly came out as gay approx. a year ago. And also: There's another reason why albanian women are more successful in the business then albanian men. Generally albanian women with immigrant parents adapt more easily to the places their parents immigrated to because for them adapting means new freedom and independence for their future. On the other side men loose a lot of privileges over the female family members that their father and grandfather had and that's why the albanian men struggle to accept the "new culuture" of the place they live in now and try to preserve the traditions from their hometown. You can't be successful in a community you don't want to fit in. It's impossible to make it if you don't adapt to their rules, their work ethic, if you don't learn their language and only make connections within your immigrant community. Gashi understood that but a lot of other albanian men don't.

As an Albanian I actually disagree with this guy's views on the kosovo flag. I truly feel that the goal for kosovo and it's people right now should be to move on from all of the horrible things that happened in the 90s. NOT FORGET! But move on. Move forward! And I believe that having a national flag that is wholly unique from the Serbian and Albanian flags is an important step in moving forward.
