Lake Hartwell Giant. Bass fishing Lake Hartwell SC.

My wife and I went out to Lake Hartwell for a fun day on the lake. Little did I know I would catch a big bass that day. The plan was to just hang out and fish a little. I brought the camera, but we didn't set it up for a while. We weren't planning to record that day, but something told me to set it up later that afternoon. Glad I did so we can all enjoy!!

I think the scale was off just a bit. Do you think the scale was accurate? Let me know if you think the fish was bigger, smaller, or the scale seemed accurate.

Would you say that the water is green or clear? I'm planning a trip there and need to know about its ecology. The website wasn't vary helpful. Thanks for the effort you put into making these videos.

The water is clear in the main lake and most of the creeks. If you get way back in the creeks it get a tad stained. The water there stays clear most all of the time.

Great video and awesome catch I just subscribed . I’ve never fished lake hartwell but I plan on going in a few weeks . I plan on launching at asbury landing . Is there any key areas I should try to get a few bass in the boat . Any tips would be appreciated .

I don't fish Hartwell often, but Hurricane Creek and the Seneca River are the 2 areas I have fished most. Spotted bass everywhere and the quality largemouth bass I have caught have been in cuts off of the creeks. Good luck and I hope you whack them!!

Nice catch. I've been fishing Hartwell for several weeks and here lately can't seem to find them. When i do there 8 to 10 inch spots. Wanna offer any advice I'm all ears lol

I'm in the same boat as you buddy!! I don't go to Hartwell very often, but when I do, I catch mostly spotted bass. I caught that one on a spinnerbait back in a creek in very stained water after a rain. Thanks for watching and good luck to you when you go back!!
