This park really needs a standout! Something like Pantheon or Taiga would fit very well. Seeing all of this new capital in 2 consecutive years is pretty awesome (Iron Menace/Steel Yard & 2025 Water Slide complex/various repaints). Plus, improvements like freestyle machines make this park really "well done." Not to mention how pretty it is! Jessica Naderman is leading this park in the right direction for sure (definitely represented by the high 2024 attendance numbers). If only they would cut back the trims on Steel Force a little bit and the last trim on T-Hawk.
Great list. Went to this park and realized how underrated it really is! With a couple investments it could really move up the list of in the chain. Great vid, earned a sub.
What's up, Marc? I was fortunate enough to get my first visit Dorney Park two months ago. I was very impressed with the park. It was clean, well staffed, and had a great collection of rides. I agree with your ranking of their eight coasters, but I might move Iron Menace ahead of Steel Force. Talon was a pleasant surprise for me. While it lacks extreme intensity, it excels in pacing and duration. The lack of a midcourse brake is a plus, and the drop-banked turn-corkscrew sequence sets up a great finale. Love the content; keep up the great work!
Thunderhawk in row 3 is a top 3 ride in the park, the airtime and laterals on the turnaround and the few hills after before the return run are wild, on par w/ Grizzly at KD. Without the trim at the end it’d be decidedly #3.
fun fact: in august me, my dad, my friend and his dad decided to go to downey. after me and my dad got off hydra, he realized his keys were missing. yes, he lost his car keys on hydra. fun and scary story for me. anyways great video!
I loved visiting this park earlier this year for the first time. For the few coasters I got to do (I did this and Hersheypark in the same day, which was insane), I would rank it like this: 1. Iron Menace 2. Talon 3. Hydra: The Revenge 4. Steel Force I also rode Demon Drop, which was probably my 5th favorite ride in the park
Haven't done the newest one yet good to hear you think its good. I do agree with youre others they are all better then steel force wich in my opnion sucks to high heaven for a hyper. But then of the 4 hypers i have ridden from Morgan only phanthom would get the label mediocre for a hyper and thats the best one.
Dorney is one of my home parks and here’s how I’d rank the coasters. Must say though, my ranking changes basically everytime I visit. 8. Woodstock Express 7. Wild Mouse 6. Thunder hawk 5. Hydra 4. Possessed 3. Iron Menace 2. Talon 1. Steel Force
I went to Dorney Park last summer. I always skip the junior coasters but rode the other seven. I agree with almost all of your rankings. I would just flip Iron Menace and Steel Force. Yes, Iron Menace is rough depending on where you sit, but it still has good elements. Steel Force is big, but like you said the drops are too shallow. It's also very rough.
They should replace steel force with a decent coaster but i guess thats a bit costly. (i know its stil a hyper so yes it probable is my nr 4 in the park now but as far as hypers go maybe steel eel in san antonio is worse, wich happens to be a Morgan to so it could just be me not liking Morgans)
Agreed on the number one pick. Talon is a slightly underrated B&M invert. It is the weakest headliner of any legacy Cedar Fair park, but it is still great.
This park is definitely on my list! If I had to pick, your top 2 would be inverted for me. I also love B&M inverts and the color scheme of Talon is pretty. But the ejector airtime as well as enormous hills on Steel Force sounds amazing and that’s why I’d rank it higher, not because the model has my name in it😂😄
If you’ve been to valleyfair, how does steel force compare to wild thing if you’ve ridden it. Wild thing was honestly a sleeper hit for me and was 3rd at the park for me behind renegade and Excalibur. Also great video!
@@CoasterChamp2 Thanks for the comment! I wasn’t overly impressed by Wild Thing when I rode it in 2021. I’d consider it a fair bit weaker than Steel Force and it’s sister coaster, Mamba. Definitely wouldn’t be in my Valleyfair top 3, but I respect it for sure 👍🏻
If the airtime hit a little better, Hydra would be my favorite floorless, but I don't really like the Jojo roll. Rode Steel Force early this year and the trims were minimal, it slams you back down so hard I can see why the trim was back up some later this year. Still Haunt rides were killer.
Haven't done the newest one and except for the morgan i agree with youre list. To be honest ( i'm probable gonna be burned at the stake for this) i haven't ridden a Morgan yet wich i didn't think is a waste of space. Don't get me wrong its better then nothing (wich some coasters are) but that about the best i can say about them. I do like the park even if it doesn't have the best line up of the chain and it nicely close to a bunch of other parks so for a european its a relative easy one to do.

Great video! Looks like a lot of good roller coasters at this park! I enjoyed watching this!
@@michael7054 Thanks Michael!
@CoasterDash You're welcome!
Iron Menace is Dorney Park’s first ground-up coaster since Hydra the Revenge in 2005. And their first coaster overall since Stinger in 2012!

I think Dorney looks like a pretty fun park! Actually don’t know too much about it, so it’s cool seeing new stuff!
