Everybody tried keeping Greg and Jenny apart. They were always having people conniving against them. When they FINALLY were able to marry, she was senselessly killed. And Jenny stayed dead. She didn't come back at the end of the series and run away together. What a rip-off for Greg and Jenny fans. No happy endings here. Greg never go over her.
I see what you're saying but we need to remember: The important thing with daytime dramas is conflict. If Greg and Jenny had it easy, would fans tune in daily? Same goes for Nina and Cliff. Palmer was hell bent on driving a wedge there, even making his daughter believe she was going blind. You need problems for a couple to keep things interesting.
