The final chapter so far of the Joan and Morse storyline. I wish they'd had more screen time in the lastest series but hopefully the writers are stretching out the scenes ready for an emotional ending i bet!

Shaun is such an amazing actor, just one glance or look and he conveys everything he is feeling.
Oh yes, his eyes are very precious, blue like a child's blue sky. In my opinion they're really the physical feature which better expresses Evans' acting. I really fancy him.
Morse is so in love with her that he can't show her his feeling in the proper way or, maybe, Joan wants another type of man, someone more 'normal', more predictable... Yet, his eyes reveal so clearly his love for her. Shaun's eyes can act so well and communicate more than words but the character Morse is so embarass in front of her so he burns all the chances. What a pity!

Great montage of Morse & Joan - the love story that kept breaking our hearts. I know they never get together but you keep hoping. There should be an episode of the path not taken - the one where Morse & Joan get together. Both of their lives would've been so much happier. So much disappointment and loss of faith avoided. Just one episode of this alternate plot .... is that too much to ask???

I look forward to watching Endeavour every week after i get home from work. My personal belief as to how entertaining a program is, i can watch each episode over and over again and never get bored. Fantastic, my favourite program on television. Also the music is incredible.🇨🇦

Joan could just tell Morse how she feels for him. There is something there...
They've wasted so much time. Both stupid. With other women Morse are very direct and confident and spend the nights with them so easy after just one meet. And with Joan it's happening for years... And still not even kissed. I know Joan has her issues too but I don't really know how woman could resist Morse when he looks at her like that and speaks with her like that.
I know Morse will never married but he can have a few years of happiness with Joan. And I want to watch it.

Thank you 😊 yes I think Morse seems to struggle to be open and vulnerable with Joan. He always chooses the femme fatale type of women, I think maybe because he knows those relationships will end and he won't have to be vulnerable but with Joan he'd have to be.

Morse unfortunately never has the strength or the courage to tell Joan his feelings, to invite her to something, to do the first step . . . etc. Unlike Jim for example. Realising that was very interesting in season 8.

Beautiful editing. I just watched the final season. I don't know about you, but Joan marrying Strange story does not make much sense. Morse and Joan were so much in love. I know that Morse remained unmarried, but it is a shame that authors teased us for so long.

I don't believe that in Scotland or Wales this is characteristic of young people, rather in England and hardly unreal in Europe.
Being smart and a gentleman, having an analytical mind and an iron logical thought does not mean that you cannot love and be a happy person.
I am so sorry about Joan's illogical marriage! She deserves to be with Morse!

i think that was a bad move on the writer's part putting joan and strange together. i find strange more convicing as an older brother figure for joan rather than a boyfriend/husband

@@Ladida386 that doesnt necessarliy mean anything in the marriage sense though she could have been passing herself off as strange's sister (hence my comment above) or strange's cousin or sister in law because anyone who saw the remorseful day will remember strange saying he has a brother.

I never fully understud why joan and morse didnt got each other, I know its the movie, but I never understud it. some times love conquer any thing. Somme times life is rodden, anyway i simply love this series, when I was stationed in a mission area my friend send me cs with series abour morse. nice to watch. maybe i need to watch some more epiaodes of morse. all the best.
