I think just keep playing until you feel like you need openers. I noticed that I would get some piece sequences that were hard to stack tetrises with, so I slowly looked up openings for when a certain block comes early. First I learned the perfect clear opening, then the basics of KSI, Albatross worked really well for certain bags, and then finally SDPC and DT Cannon can give you really fun attacks if you are fast and the piece order is nice.

@@chaotickreg7024 Yeah, It's good advice, for sure but I don't think you should focus on openers at that level, honestly i think TKI and PCO are the optimal openers if you want to improve in a balanced way, as too OP openers will stunt your midgame progress which makes you lose when you encounter someone who can deal with your opener/s (which is why most players hate stickspin,sdpc etc.). In my whole ranked life, I've only used DT, TKI, PCO and MKO. I barely use MKO and DT nowadays though since im bad at them.
