Family Fortunes (Wii) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Mindscape's 2009 game show adaptation for the Nintendo Wii, Family Fortunes.
Played through an "episode" in the single-family mode.
I remember watching Family Fortunes as a kid, and though I haven't seen the show in twenty years, I instantly had to laugh recalling how they used to call the board Mr. Babbage. Anyone else remember that?
For anyone not familiar with it, Family Fortunes is essentially Family Feud made for Brit TV. A question is asked to the contestants, and the correct responses are culled from the most common responses given during a "survey" of a hundred people. You get three strikes while guessing before you lose control to the other team, and the winner of the round gets to keep the total points on the board. Whoever reaches 200 first goes to the fast money round to play for the final prize.
The UK-exclusive Wii game based on the show stars the voice and likeness of the show's host (with the 3D avatar having a pretty ghastly set of choppers... yeah, yeah, insert random joke about England's lack of preoccupation with perfect teeth), and you get your choice of several prerendered families to play as.
When answering the questions, all you have to do is point at the choice you want and click. There's no typing involved whatsoever, but whenever you select an answer, right or wrong, it doesn't get removed from the list of choices. That makes for an annoying bit of picking the same answers again and again on accident. The pointer also feels off - it shakes and wobbles like I have Parkinson's with even the slightest movement.
The lack of a CPU player makes for a decidedly dull single-player game that lacks any challenge whatsoever, but the problem is that even with two players, the game sucks. It's ugly, over-simplified, and it'll leave you to wonder just why they didn't take the far superior Family Feud games on the Wii and reskin them for UK audiences.
I did this video because there's virtually nothing to be found online about the game, and I'm guessing you'll probably understand why after you watch it.

The UK version of Family Feud got a Wii adaptation of its own. So how did it pan out? Well... um... oh dear. Just look for yourself.

Guess I will stay with the US version then. I have the Nintendo DS version of Family Feud which came around then, and I enjoyed it. Around this time was "Press Your Luck" for the DS, and I liked it too.

This is really a Wii game? It looks like a GameCube tech demo rather than a commercially released Wii title. Also, I had no idea Mindscape still existed in 2009. I can see their games haven't got any better since the NES days.

Everytime I scroll through the Mii section too fast, the game will freeze. It's not really a good game anyway.
