  • @cindybrown1461

    I was wondering about that little dandelion stamp that you have on that glass block now is that all together as one piece.? Or is that a clear rubber stamp on a glass stamp holder. Oh and I also finally found the markers that you're using I had to pause and rewind pause and rewind. LOL to try to see the name on it. I thought maybe it would be nice that down in the area where you want to put a list of things that you're doing but also like a list of things that you have and where you've gotten them from would be very helpful to the crafters like me, lol that want to know what is it that you're using and what's the product name and where did you get it.. so if that is a little dandelion stamp where did you get it? And where did you get that type of little glass stamp holder?

    • @CoriDahmen
      @CoriDahmen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cindy and thank you for the interest and questions. Most of the time I use older products that I've had in my stash for (many) years. That clear cling stamp came in a stamping magazine.... maybe 10 or so years ago? It was their free-with-purchase-of-the-magazine prize. It could have started life as a Technique Tuesday stamp, but no guarantees. The acrylic stamping block is of similar vintage. I got it a lot of years ago from Impress Rubber Stamp in Renton, WA.... but it's just a generic acrylic stamp block. There in lies the reason I don't often list my products and where I've purchased them. Most of the time they are old things and even more often, I have no idea where they originated. BUT, my goal is to ALWAYS offer a technique or concept that can be slightly altered to use the things YOU have on hand. Any clear flower stamp would work, as would any marker (the set I use/grab is Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. They are made by Kuretake, just private labeled for Zig. I bought this set about 4-5 years ago on Amazon) in whatever brand you have. I know that's not hugely helpful, but that is how I create. I love all the new things, but I also try to use what I have in my stash.

    • @cindybrown1461
      @cindybrown1461 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just got the zig flex brush tips in today. I tried my arteza watercolor brushes but they didn't quite do the job I'm hoping these have a little more of intense color.

    Oops and also of the markers I couldn't find the number 210 that you're using and not sure if that's what it is but are you using an olive green and like an orange yellow? Because I'm getting just the beginner set like the 24 I wasn't sure what number that you have and if the colors that you have are even in the 24 set or not of those markers that you're using. I'll stop here now I know I know lots of questions. Lol.

      Questions are good! I have the 80 piece Zig set and to be honest, I just grab some f the green markers and decide which works best with the paper I'm using. I couldn't tell you which number and colors I use most often (unless they are still on my desk!). I just grab and go.

      I shared the McGill punch I use for the file folder today. I’ve had a few people ask about them so I’ll put some punched items in my Etsy shop next week. That way if you can’t find the punch, at least you can access some of the punched pieces 😊

      My Braille paper was pulled from a few books I had for a seeing impaired student, many years ago. Seedlings is a company that sells Braille books. I don't know what their requirements are, but I'd consider beginning there.

    What is reptile glue?

    • @CoriDahmen
      @CoriDahmen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a sturdy white glue that is a bit thinner and has a bit longer drying time than Art Glitter Glue. I got mine on Amazon, based on a viewer's recommendation, and I am very pleased with it.

    Where else can I see demo of the Tracy 2 side?
    Sewing on paper sounds fun but what does that do to your sewing machine? I have a single machine and don’t want to put it in jeopardy by sewing for my journal.

    • @CoriDahmen
      @CoriDahmen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi and thank you. Tracie Fox Creative is a YT channel and Tracie is incredible! If you search her playlist, she has many excellent tutorials. I've been using my machines for .... 25? or so years on both paper and fabric and I have never had a problem. Of course, each machine is slightly different, but I've used several machines and so (sew?) far they have all worked well. Granted, I don't use the mini, for-paper-only machines, but any designed for general use has been solid.

    Did anybody notice Cori said (right above the comments) she was going to include a verbal list of items included on each page? But then there are no lists or links or any further information at all to read.

    • @CoriDahmen
      @CoriDahmen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As I go through and share how I make each page I give a verbal list of which scrap buster items are used. There is a list of the different scrap buster items made and which video they are made in and I will include, as I said I would, on the last video, an items list for each page for each of the three books in the drop down box. It wouldn't make any sense to list them before they are shown.

    This is all really cool, but I'm struggling to understand what people do with these books when they finish putting them together. I'm seeing places to journal, but then also a bunch of pockets filled with tags and ephemera. In my mind, these are already "full". Maybe it's just that I've never seen someone using a junk journal, I just see people making them.

    • @CoriDahmen
      @CoriDahmen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Lisa and yes, I'm among the guilty who don't show how they're used as journals. Speaking only for myself, I always include lots of booklets and writing space. The tags and bits and pieces are designed to be used on those book and flip pages, to enhance the written parts. Each person designs theirs a bit differently, but that is how I fashion mine.
