- This is one of the MUST try cocktails with rum. If you haven’t had a Daisy de Santiago before, you're welcome. This is absolutely delightful and sooooo easy to make! It's a classic rum cocktail, most likely created by Bacardi in the 1930's or maybe even earlier. And this is how I make it!
Daisy de Santiago
1/2 oz (15ml) Simple syrup)
1/4 oz (7.5ml) Yellow Chartreuse
3/4 oz (22.5ml) Lime Juice
1 1/2 oz (45ml) Rum (I use a slightly aged rum)
1 oz (30ml) Club Soda
Quick shake, serve over ice in a wine glass. Garnish with a mint bouquet and some fruit if you feel like it. I did some raspberries :)

I agree, anyone who makes the claim that they know the exact difference between green and yellow Chartreuse, they are to be avoided. Another great video!
Haha, YES!
Well Johann, You just gave me something to try for sure!!
Oh ya?? It's not bad at all!
Southside! My favorite cocktail to make while camping! I love the twist here with the rum! You packed this one full of information today! Great job. 🙌🏼
While camping? That's impressive! 😀👏
Mostly gibberish, but I hope someone learned something.
Just have to say I love how short your videos are. Takes me back to the days of a better, more useful youtube... Thanks Johan!
I appreciate that Vismund!! 🙏
You should feature a Dandy cocktail sometime. It's one I keep going back to.
@@vismundcygnus2800 I will put it on my list! 🙂👍
Learned a lot from this video, and man let me tell ya. I look forward to making one of these myself! Earned a sub from me, look forward to seeing more interesting cocktails!
That's great!! Thanks for letting me know and welcome to my channel!
Coctel cubano buenísimo! 🇨🇺
You know it!!
I can vouch that this cocktail is a really pretty sipper. I made it for myself last night. I also happen to know a guy who knows a guy who knows a monk that heard the recipe from a monk with took a vow of silence.
😁 Oh, you do, do ya? I must have me a word with your guy then!
It's been on my list forever but keep forgetting it. I will make it with the garden mint this year for sure!!!!
It is so good. So simple and delicious.
JOHAN!!! Awesome video!!! It took me years to understand the concept that simple beats complicated!!! I will def be trying this!!! Any cocktail with Yellow Chartreuse, I'm in!!! CHEERS!!!!
TIM! 😀 Enjoy it my friend!
@@WhiskeySugarBitters JOHAN!!! This cocktail is definitely awesome!!! The Yellow Chartreuse is mellowed perfectly by the citrus!!!! I used Plantation 5 year old in this. Awesome sipper!! Thanks!!!
This is nice 👍 🍹🔥💯
Yes, it is! 😃
This looks so nice. I guess I will have to get a bottle of yellow chartreuse in addition to the green that I just picked up.
Unfortunately the green takes over a little bit too much in this one.. But you can use the yellow for other ones! In my Champs Elysee I actually use both green and yellow, and I did the Naked and Famous with yellow too :)
been meaning to pick up a bottle of the yellow, now i must!
For this and for the Champs Elysee! Naked and Famous 👌
I don't think I've tried yellow chartreuse and rum - looking forward to trying this
It's about time then! 😉
Awesome. might be enough to make me get the Yellow companion to my Green Chartreuse. I do love complexity in my cocktails, and so this is win win. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Johan!!
Do it! Use it for the Champs Elysee and Naked and Famous. I did videos on both.... 😉😉😉
@@WhiskeySugarBitters Oh yes! I'll definitely have to, then!
In Before TIM!!!!
A lot of us are... I'm sure he'll be very upset! 😂
PLEASE don't get too comfortable.....
This does sound lovely, I'm glad you were able to stop sniffing and start sipping!
Haha, eventually I did! 😁
