For a "family" coaster that looks pretty fun. The banking on some of those turns is nuts, and the first launch looks reasonable forceful. It'll also be a nice spectacle from off-ride since it goes through the whole land.
@@supernova4760 Considering it's designed for families, uses LSMs and goes up a 45 degree incline, no, I'm not kidding. It's no hydraulic launch, but it'll feel pretty strong when riding it.
@@inventions178 I said I hope it doesn't turn into stroller hell.If it does it does ,I am not going to show up their losing my s#i+ .A lot of people love Universal because it is not geared to younger kids , it is definately going to change but hopefully it doesn't give up part of what makes it so great.Have a great evening.
It's not quite the dragon riding coaster I was hoping for but still fun. I'm hoping they might in the future add a Toothless hypercoaster based on the Test Drive scene, fill it with floater airtime for a flying feeling and have wave turns over water dodging between big cliff rocks like in the scene.
that would be awesome but I think a hyper would be too big for this park and it would be hard to theme throughout the whole attraction and fit in the httyd area.
I can see the Hiccup animatronic cranking the mechanism and that's so cool. Can't wait to ride this and see the Hiccup and Toothless animatronic when this opens next year! 😊
good eye, it took me a second to see hiccup there. now my question is, did they make him Canon height because i think film theory did a video a while back about whether or not toothless could actually fly. So that means there is a max height Hiccup would have to be that toothless could still get airborne.
This seems like a more exciting version of the Dr. Suess land trolley ride. A good way to get some nice views and see the whole park in a timely manner.
I know before I said that 2 of those hills looked like to had ejector, now seeing it testing makes it look slower than the animation, but still good. I cant wait to see how it runs full, and warmed up in the florida heat.
This looks like a lot of fun….and makes me wish that the Wolfman roller coaster had a similar that runs throughout the Dark Universe land, but one that was a little more intense and thrilling to differentiate it.
I love the How to Train Your Dragon movies. I'm excited for this to open. Not sure if I'll be able to go in 2025 but I'll have to check it out sometime.
I can only imagine it features standard sit down trains to avoid conflicting with Hagrid’s because a straddle coaster would have been much better for riding dragons
Totally agree. I play the “test drive” song in my head when I ride hagrids. It would have been good to have sorta the same setup a side car for the smaller kids and the bike seat type for the older ones.
It was marketed as a "family" coaster. That's actually way longer and more thrilling than what I expected for a family coaster. Compare this to the 15-second family coaster Disney has for World of Frozen in Hong Kong! I would certainly ride this as a young adult!
@@deletedaccountdnd because it will be promoted as a family coaster, so people are going to bring their kids and they will be surprised by the launch and what comes after
@@iamlookingforanorignalnick2349 Maybe so. But right now it looks akin to Disney's Slinky Dog Dash in terms of twists, turns, and dips. I hate it when places advertise something as "family friendly" but "thrilling" at the same time and then show us something crazy. For example, both Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind and Slinky Dog Dash are marketed as "family" coasters. I've ridden both. Cosmic Rewind is NOT "family friendly". It was way more thrilling and wild than I even anticipated, and unless your kid likes A. tire swings and spinny rides and B. pitch black roller coasters, they will HATE this. Slinky Dog is WAY more "family friendly". It's MUCH more gentle and smooth (and visible) so even the bravest of timid riders might enjoy it. It's maybe about on par with Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, if not just a hair above. A family of pre-teens who have been riding coasters since they were tall enough for the tiniest ones, maybe.... but not kids who haven't ridden a coaster before.
They can't just wait until opening week or something to test. These rides are going to be running hundreds of times a day at opening, best to get as many test runs as possible to iron everything out.
The manufacturer might have a set number of times the coaster has to complete the circuit without any faults before it can open. That number can be well above 1,000 times without people on board and 1,000 times with people on board. Gotta get ahead of it if they want to open on time
You gotta have some "easy" coasters for those people trying to work their way up to the more thrilling ones..... Or for those who don't want to feel like they're being launched into orbit and put through space and fighter jet training all packed into 30 seconds. Personally, I LOVE that theme parks are putting these kinds of coasters in. For me, rides like this are just my speed- just thrilling enough to be enjoyable, but not so thrilling I come out needing to have worn brown pants or to find a trash can. I think people who like those super-thrilling high-intensity coasters are crazy and you wouldn't catch me dead riding alongside them, but all the more power to them because, hey, without them, we wouldn't have pilots for fighter jets or skydivers or astronauts willing to put themselves out there to do their jobs. So, here's to you and your fellow crazy-coaster fans! 🙂

Nice floater looking hills too!
Hagrids is also a family coaster. I have a feeling this’ll have a layout almost as good.

The landscaping is amazing.
Those trees better be real. We need clean air to breathe in Florida. :)
Hagrid's Part 2.... The coaster itself looks great and can't wait to get a ride and visit each portal there is to offer 😄
Well hagrids is probably still a bit better but it’s similiar for sure!
From what I’ve seen/heard this is supposed to less intense than hagrid’s. So I guess you can say it’s the prequel
The park is coming together great people. How amazing❤

The length and theming is insane! That speed though.... ooff. Could go a smidge faster.
Oh, I didn't see the 45mph part. That should be fine!
1:10 rollback intentional? If so thats awesome!
I believe this ride has two launches similar to the Velocoaster. I don't think it's supposed to have a swing launch.

the trains reminds me (or just straight up uses) the same train chassis that Intamin used for Incredicoaster/California Screaming
It would have been fun if they were somehow able to put bigger dragon wings at the front
i love how the second launch is supposed to look like the train "fails" this coaster will be fun
I didn’t know that wasnt accidental. Interesting
That second launch... is it supposed to stop and roll back then launch? Or was that just some sort of block testing
Looks great
