    Tiger fox wolf are common noun or proper noun

    • @AchieversEnglishCoaching
      @AchieversEnglishCoaching  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are common because it’s not a name. Is anyone names a tiger 🐅 Rancho for example. That will be a Proper noun as now it’s a name.
      Anything which is commonly found is a Common Noun.

  • @naiyarkhan497
    @naiyarkhan497 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Cricket, hockey football are proper noun or common noun if game is common noun .

    • @AchieversEnglishCoaching

      All sports are Common Nouns as they are the types of sports, not names. Name would be like Ranji Trophy, Asian Games, Olympic Games etc.

      Since they are not compound noun, you need to mark them separately.

    New Delhi is an example of proper noun . How New Delhi can be placed under concrete noun as concrete nouns can be seen or experienced through our five senses kindly explain

    • @AchieversEnglishCoaching
      @AchieversEnglishCoaching  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Abstract nouns are the feelings, thought and emotions. New Delhi can not come under these categories as it’s a place.
      At least we can watch the boundaries of New Delhi. We can walk on the roads of New Delhi.😊

      In one of the text there is a question
      Underline the noun and state whether its common, proper,collective,abstract,or concrete noun..here is the confusion..mam sorry to bother you but I
      Liked your explanation...I'm also a retired English teacher...

    • @AchieversEnglishCoaching
      @AchieversEnglishCoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are only two kinds of Nouns. Concrete and Abstract. If u find this question to choose among the above given categories, it will be wrong. To clarify you can search on google also.
      You can ask as many questions as you want. I am not bothered. Thanks for your questions. This helps others to understand the doubts too.

    Collective nouns are followed by singular verb or plural
    Out team is/are winning the match.

    • @AchieversEnglishCoaching
      @AchieversEnglishCoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Team is a collecting noun so is will come as collective nouns are usually considered as singular. But in some cases like Our team are working hard. In this case it will be Plural as all the members are working hard separately and in their own individual form.
