No. They're really not. The only similarities are that they're all living things. The difference is their mentalities, and for animals, their species. An animal can't give you consent because they can't understand you. Carl, I know exactly how you felt. I was shaking.Bob and I are in L.A. and knowing CA would open the doors, I was a bit more reserved with only about 50 people in our home on Christmas eve, 2007. All but him knew. I don't get why people are bringing sexuality into this. They're just two people that fell in love, and one happens to be proposing to the other. It's a beautiful thing. It being that they're "gay" doesn't make it any cuter, no offense, but you get what I mean. It'd be the same amount of cute-ness whether they were straight, transgender, etc.

Just so you know the bible was written by a man, and he might had been a closed minded person as you. But doesn't your bible say love one another? LOVE is love, doesn't see colour or race. This couple is in love and they have the right to be in love without any judgement.
It is, in Deuteronomy and Romans, thats it and I just pointed out that in Romans it just says sexual immorality and we are discounting Dueteronomy (for the reasons listed above) also being gay isnt a choice so why would god make someone that has to sin to be happy.
The bible until really recent versions said that god didnt like prostitution and rape, but not homosexuality (this is discounting Deuteronomy but there is also says you cant wear dual fibered clothes and you can rape a girl as long as you pay her 50 sheckles and marry her) So is it really a sin?
