Another great tutorial Boris. Days gone is picking up a lot of new players thanks to youtubers like yourself and the many others uploading content regularly. There's gonna be a lot of interesting stuff to keep them coming back to this incredible game
You are so right my friend. I'm seeing some new comers with some great content for Days gone, so long may it continue. As always, thank you for watching mine Allan, always appreciated.
I recently discovered the same location that you did. The main difference between my method and your second method was that I was able to lure ALL of the marauders to the spot using rocks. For those who are unsure of the location, go to the left of the railway carriage, turn right and go forward (watch out for the bear trap near the carriage).
I just found this game last month and took my time and beat the story in one month. I found the hordes daunting but found your videos so helpful. I subscribed to keep up with your content, it’s so fun and informative. I’m loving this game as much as I love Cyberpunk 2077. Headshots are so fun lol also I really enjoy your accent! 😊
Hey , I did a search for the song ' Smoke on the Water ' and this video popped up lol. All kidding aside , this is one heck of a video. The biggest danger you faced had to be the traps that were scattered all over. Speaking of which , I don't remember if the bear traps you disabled became a danger for the enemy as it's been too long since I last played. I really liked the methods you used to take out the camp. Another great video full of pro tips my friend !
Great minds think alike. Unfortunately I had already taken out the Death train horde (a bad oversight on my part), so I couldn't show a horde attack. Future missions like this will include the hordes, and residue bolts & Incendiary Bolts options start coming in soon.
I always love seeing how you choose to tackle these missions, particularly bc our play styles are so different - each video gives me new ways to play & ideas to try! Some very excellent advice in this video, looking forward to giving each of these new (to me) methods a go, thank you! I usually stay in the bushes, toss a rock right in front of the bush I'm in & bring each marauder right to my position, Deek usually throws the bodies into the bushes so they don't alert the others as they come over. It's one of my favorite strategies for early game - super safe, effective & gives extra XP! (For those that don't know: reg kills give 100% xp, headshots 150% xp, stealth kills 175% xp) Perhaps I love this method so much in part bc I put all my skill points into the survival tab to get Carry That Weight asap, so I build up stamina early game & save focus mode for a bit later 🤷 I also love using the crossbow: it's effective, silent & ammo is ample this early in the game! First few playthroughs I found it easier to use the crossbow bc ammo felt scarce & expensive, not to mention loud 😁 Oh and ever since I found out about the bear traps not being dangerous after Deek moves em (via your video, TYVM) it's made Deek's life much easier so seriously: thank you very much! Sorry so long, i suck at concise
Early game I use the crossbow too. Ammo is everywhere. It’s silent and I’ve taken whole camps out with it, including this one. I usually find bear traps by stepping into them LOL.
@@Lady8D how do you “throw” the bodies around (Into the bushes)? I can drag bodies in something like “Skyrim”, but in Days Gone they just fall and stay. Did I miss a mechanism? (wouldn’t be the first time)
@@Roboprogs Oh no, you didn't miss a mechanism...I don't think so anyway. When Deek is crouching in the bushes if you can get the enemy to come close enough (i typically toss a rock as close to Deek as possible while still highlighting the freaker/marauder I want to lure) - when you hit the ∆ /stealth kill with boot knife option a lot of the time Deek will stab them & automatically step to the side & shove them into the bush. As far as I know there's nothing special you can do to trigger this to happen aside from making the stealth kill on the edge of or just inside the bushes. Sorry if I made it sound like there was a special way to make sure it happens, it's just something I've noticed Deek doing during the stealth kill animation. Hope that makes more sense ☺️
Nice methods Boris! You could have included also method using infected or bears. The infected ones are usually hanging around the tracks and bears can be found if you continue driving on a tracks past the camp. Then you just lure them into the camp and let moroders fight them. And then you finish them off if anyone survives.
Some good info there my friend. This video is just the warm up. Once the bigger missions get tackled, a lot of other methods start to come into play, and of course, I start using hordes when I get the chance, lol.
Unrelated topic but I’m having trouble with getting bill rush to work on PS5. Do you have to press and hold L3 while sprinting? I can’t figure it out. Just does a standard melee attack. Does the melee weapon have to be equipped or can you have a gun equipped?
Honestly my friend, I'm not sure as I never use this . Think I may have done this by accident a couple of times, and I only remember running fast, I don't think you have to hold the L3, just get Deek running towards an enemy and see what happens JM.
@ also, thanks for the tip about “immunity” when you set them yourself. I’ve played through this game like 8 times and got the platinum, but STILL failed to realize your own bear trap won’t catch you. I often just dropped them unset to avoid them unless having a plan like blocking a nest.
Something tells me members of the dev team aren’t big fan of Deep Purple… or else they would have moved the camp closer to the lake, and named this mission “Smoke On The Water”, lol 😂 ….fine! Y’all are too young to get it… I will go back to my hole… 🤷🏻
Lol, I'm definitely not too young, but I just ain't heard this song, lol. Never stop educating my friend. Funny guy as always Paul, and I will take the time to listen to this track for sure.
Awesome Brother ! Keep on making Days Gone great again ! Thank you for always keeping DG in the spotlight as it were. ❤
Thank you GBM. Days Gone will be at the forefront of my channel for a long time to come yet.

Well you made that look easy boris I struggled a bit with this one but after watching that won't be anymore thanks for a great watch yet again ♥️

Hey 👋🏻 Boris well done my friend, always fun seeing you show interesting and fun ways to tackle these missions. Always a great pleasure to watch 👍🏻👍🏻

I can confirm that the traps do become a danger for the enemies. It's a crazy switch around, lol. Thank you for the kind words as always my friend.
Your knowledge of this game is second to none and your videos are not only very informative but entertaining too. Thank you 😊
Thank you Darryl. Appreciate your kind words my friend, most appreciated.
Though dangerous, it's fun using residue bolts at night from a "safe" position. The freakers can be quite helpful. Thanks for the vids, Boris.

Great tips and tricks to get through this mission. I wish you even more creative and interesting ideas for this game. Be healthy. Good luck to you.
Thank you Artur. More Days Gone missions are on the way my friend. I'm Days Gone for life, lol.

You have to sprinting, so yes you’ll be holding L3 hard forward and down. Now just run into them. They go down and the X prompt button pops up.
@@safetybeachlife Good explanation SBL, thank you.
Cool! I got it now! Thanks guys it was driving me crazy.
I can only get it to work with the boot knife. Superior metal axe and I cannot get it to work at all. Just a standard melee attack everytime
To easy for you mate . Total pro
Thank you Ian, too kind as always mate.
