There's nothing wrong with using a pick dude. I play certain things with a pick and others with my fingers. To me its just about what sound you're going for and the type of attack you want. No shame in using different techniques at all.
Exactly agree with you all! Couldn’t have said it any better. I play both guitar and bass. I use a pick when I do simply because I am achieving a specific sound and tone just as I do for my fingers. I think that bass there sounded great. 🤘🎸🤘
Just the guy I wanted to see!!! 🤘🤘 Awesome recording, Dude!!!! When finishing up watching a Kevin Frasard video, is like running out of milk from My bottle! I'm just a baby, guys!!!
You inspired me to pull out my 4-string. I had my 6-string bass out about a month ago, but I need to rebuild the active electronics to a circuit that's more dynamic and much higher gain. My 4-string has a beastly active module I built 20 years ago, but that was 20 years ago. I'm going to rebuild that one too. I want my volume pots to have a lot more influence on response, and OEM onboard actives are often dull unless they're major name brand, so the 6-string is like there's a pillow muffling the bastard.
@@davidemmons899 my guy, bodybuilding has always been a part of his channel. There’s literally entire videos on it and it’s in the intro to most of his videos lol I said good luck at the show because he mentions in THIS video he has a show coming up in eight weeks.
Pick and fingers both have their advantages and challenges and I have equal respect for both. It's just that in my case, fingers have always felt so much more natural because of the string gauge and scale length. Kevin's opinion on bass is the same as mine on acoustic guitar... I think finger style is so much cooler but for me it's challenging make it sound good because the strings are so much thinner than bass strings, which I like to go to town on
I always knew you messed around with bass, but I didn’t know you were quite that proficient. Very cool man. 🤘🏼. Is there a way to talk about gym techniques privately?
Hey Kevin, can you do more bass demos without backing tracks? It's almost impossible to find a good metal bass demo on TH-cam without a backtrack/muddy mix. Thanks man
Hey Kev. Nice riff. Just a heads up fella, your audio is very low when you are speaking its difficult to hear you , you need a little mic clipped on your t shirt.
Hey man, i just watched your video about gaining muscle by jelqing but you didn't really go into a lot of detail about your regimen. How many days of the week do you jelq? And is it just jelqing or do you also edge and goon? When you jelq off, do you stroke to completion afterwards to relive the build up? How long did it take to get muscles that big by jelqing alone? I want to get into jelqmaxxing like you, I just don't know where to start.

Exactly, well said. It's all about the type of sound or style you're going for. Some of the greatest bass players use a pick.
Exactly

Nice project.
The sickest riffs just fuckin pour out of this guy… Kevin rules big fan of your channel
Kevin, don't ever feel weird about using a pick. Three case and points: Lemmy, Tom Araya, Jason Newsted.
David Ellefson, Chris Squire, Paul McCartney, Eddie Jackson, John Campbell, Justin Chancellor, Glen Benton, Tom Araya so many
Кев, браво, не перестану каждый раз восхищаться тобой и гитарами, мастерской игрой на них!!! 🤘☀🤘🤘🤘
I have this bass from one year - great purchase indeed - It performs great
Such a sick bass!! I just got a 4 string ltd f-204 and I absolutely love it. ESP makes excellent guitars and basses.
Been watching your stuff over the years, your technique and recording production have come a long way man.
That is my preferred metal bass sound. Supper bubbly, metallic and pronounced. Funk with stank. Love it. Riffage was sickly too. 🤘🤘
Unfortunately it’s not a bass sound, it’s a mid-trebley sound. Doesn’t work in a band mix as it clashes with the frequencies of the guitars.
Hey bro you've improved a whole lot man you killed it
I didn’t know you were a Detroiter! I love Motor City Guitar.
So sick dude🤘 Good luck at the bodybuilding show man, you’re gonna crush it
This is a guitar channel

One word-SICK! Sick sound!🤟🏻

Picking bassists rule. The ferocity Newsted picked with in his prime was incredible.
Hey Kev, maybe do a Q and A video for the fans? it would be greatly appreciated
got the exact same bass, it's a beast
I always knew you messed around with bass, but I didn’t know you were quite that proficient. Very cool man. 🤘🏼. Is there a way to talk about gym techniques privately?
Thank you for the cool video!! Have a nice day!!🤘🤘
1:38 the riff is good but I would play it with fingers, keep calm and add more bass
Big boy bass. Super sick.

What a perfect Friday afternoon.

I'm listening to AND looking at metal on the same time....
Nice bass

Great! Respect from Ukraine!
I was wondering if you could play “ways to the grave” by bloodbath if not much love 💪
Hey Kev. Nice riff. Just a heads up fella, your audio is very low when you are speaking its difficult to hear you , you need a little mic clipped on your t shirt.
I'm gonna have to sit with the fact I'll never be as badass as you.

Этот бас звучит как мешок с гвоздями, так держать)
