I think more than anything in the world I want to see footage of J when he's playing guitar for GG. His muff probably didnt get stolen, he probably just abandoned it because it had poop all over it
My favourite pedal is my Big Muff. I'm glad they're still so cheap and accessible too. Also glad they're unfashionable atm, y'all can keep your RATS. Keep flying the flag J.

I have a 1981 V6 big muff that has the exact component values as J’s favorite. I’ve traced it and compared it to the trace of his. Same. It’s my favorite as well, best sounding big muff I’ve ever had.
I’ve been posting this on various pedal videos too. Haha. Really wish they’d just do a special limited edition run of the triangles in the original format. Would be an instant purchase for me.

I have one of the 90's Big muff, the Giant metal box one (exactly the same as jack white). This is enormous on my pedal board but i love it, it's built like a russian tank. I've tried several new ones which are a lot smaller but i never found one with the same sound. I'm waiting to try this one out !
My first pedal was a green Sovtek Big Muff, totally because of J. Also got a DOD FX33 Buzz Box at the same time, because Melvins. Miss both, though I do still have the Muff knobs at least! 😆

out of all my guitars and amps the one thing I worry about getting stolen is my pedal board, so when he started hoarding them I feel that. I can replace everything except some of the pedals
@Neon Thunderbird it does seem to suggest that it’s just the same as the regular one but with a new paint job. I’m a huge fan of J but wouldn’t actually prefer the regular silver paint job. Been wanting to pick one up for a while so may have to go ahead.

Jay's my great influence, he's my guitar hero. Interestingly i didn't know he uses the muff with fuzz and volume maxed out so his signature pedal should be borned with only one knob, the tone one. Man i love big muffs but i don’t own one right now i went in for a fuzz factory clone and met line 6 amp has a big muff setting and with some tweaking it’s pretty decent
I tried his muff in store and thought it sounded a little more tame and soft compared to other muffs. I still dont know the guy but I love these videos with gear collections.

A huge part of the sound is also the amp. To get closer to the sound, set your amp on about edge of breakup/semi clean and it comes to life.

I have both of those pedals! I got the muff for $49 new. The Buzz Box was way more, as I got it 5 years ago. It’s NOS with the box and instructions. 😀

After reading the description on the ehx website, I would guess no. They are both based on the 1973 violet rams head.
