Used to bang this in high school! I had 4 albums in this series. Jungle and chocolate chip disco biscuits brought us to new levels that we had never experienced before. The feelings we experienced back then were so powerful that they shaped us to what we are today =]
OMG!!! I remember all these tracks! Totally puts a huge smile on my face listening to this. Brings me back for sure... Love the feeling! Or rather I should say "House is a feeling"
As a person who bought each cd in this series as they were released, I have to thank you for making these. Really brings me back to the good 'ol floor sweepers and whistle days. Love it!
Thanx :$ Honestly, that is why I do this! If we can go back in the day and dance around those speakers once again for just a moment, and relive those wild times, then I have succeeded. Thank you for the feedback! It means a lot to me!
As someone who grew up with this and the other volumes in middle and high school, my god! this is so fun to listen to. really enjoy your take on it, sounds great! Calm Down, New STYLE! ill be banging this for a bit
Love this mix brings back so many memories especially @ 3:18 & 5:23! I cried gosh this makes me feel so old. I had all of these CDs when they came out!
perfect, did you have to cut it short and distort so the music snatchers would not block you video? hard to find others that like this music Oldskool London Hardcore Techno
No I think you have me all wrong. I set out originally to make Speed Limit 1 a 10 minute mix, this proved impossible because I loved the tracks too much. The copyright police already told me I can't make any cash on this stuff so I just have fun with it. I go wild with mixes and FX to make it more on the side of Turntablism rather than boring DJ shit. I am a musician and producer so playing somebody else's records has to be art, which is why I rarely let a record play for more than 20 seconds before the next mix comes in. The distortion, delays and chorus fx are just fun for me, Being a DJ means nothing if you don't use the turntable as an instrument. Most of these records were designed for proper DJ use but too many "DJs" get by with simple beat matching. Shameful! I do try to keep it brief and plan to explore this method once I have it down but having fun is the prime motivation for making these. I love this series with all my heart and it had a big impact on my production of 90s rave tracks and live PAs. If the distortion bothers you, you are going to love Volume 3: Speed Limit 140 Bpm+ Volume 3 Mix-Mash by DJ Rebel Sole
