Do we need to purchase any special suit for scuba diving? Or are normal swim shirts and shorts fine? Or does the package include a suit? Also, can you please mention the best spot for scuba diving as there are multiple in Havelock?
Wet suit is given by the diving school. The best is to wear just the inner wears beneath the wet suit. If you want you can also wear thin layering inside like a short or dryfit t-shirt. same goes for women
The package will include the wet suit, so no need to buy anything. You can optionally wear a dryfit shirt and shorts underneath the wet suit if needed as the ocean water deep can be cold sometimes. There are many points in havelock. All are good! Tries gate, nemo point etc, normally the diving point is dependant on the dive school.
Hello, even I have been to Bali and did scuba at nusa penida which had raised bar high… so is scuba in Andaman as beautiful as nusa pe Ida or more than that. Also here do we get to see any specific marine animal species?
Hi Nilishq, Nusa Penida is the best I did so far, and compared to that Andaman is no where closure both in terms of biodiversity and the experience. Andaman is more about coral reef, there are no specific marine animal you will find here. Tbh keep half the expectation as compared to Bali (Nusa Penida)
You can expect crowd and price hike at almost all the places during new year time. If you are checking in South India, Pondicherry, Allepy, Varkala, Hampi, Kodai, Mysore, Gokarna and Coorg will be good
Bhai whole andaman bolke aadha dikhaya... I have seen whole andaman upto north andaman. I seen this video to see if i missed anything as i wanted it to visit second time but its only half andaman... By the way ur narration and detailed guiding was excellent. Andaman has lot to offer... Btw i had done snorkelling at jolly buoy island it was a great experience... But it was around 2015.
Good review! Although few things like the cave/ den for photography and the chidya tapu sunset pic could have been flagged or pointed on maps to display where exactly are those.
After watching many guiding videos to Andaman throughout the week your video came in and loved the way you explain. Thank you so much, I guess my search ended here. What would be the better option to book.. via travel planners or plan on own?
Thats a lovely comment 😊 Thanks for your kind words. Andaman is totally doable on your own! If you have time to plan and research then do on own is best! On the other hand, travel agencies do have good cost as they are localities, they give good deals including flights. So IMO, compare both the budgets and plan a custom itinerary if you choose travel agency.
Hi Ankit, Ross and Smith island is near diglipur. Reaching diglipur from port Blair is a task in itself. The roads are horrible and govt buses take 8-9hr to reach. Witha 3yo it may be even more difficult. We didn’t explore Diglipur due to time constraints. If you are visiting Andaman for less than 9days. Then you can skip it.
Is it a good idea to book cruise through a agent? Is it authentic , the number which you have mentioned in the description box of Vineet. The number shows of mango sea food. As we have planned the trip in just one week and we have two kids of 3 and 6 years and booking by website is not showing enough information and it is also not cumbersome
HI Richa, yes it is an authorised website to book the ferries in Andaman. bookmyboat, mangoo tree restaurant and maharaja travels is handled by the same owner. if you face any issues do ping me directly on instagram @sakrecubes I will talk with the owner.
Hi. Cam you please tell me that is kayaking being done at Havelock island ? I am confused because I came upon a video in which they told that kayaking has not been taking place from past 1 year. Please clarify. Also can you provide contact details from where we can book our kayaking slot. Thanks in advance.
Kayaking is done at Havelock island, the spot is right next to the jetty! Previously there used to be night kayaking! but that has been stopped, so now they only allow early morning kayaking (like at 3:30 am), that's why you must have got confused. You can contact 9932086666, do mention my name and they will help you to reserve the spot for kayaking.
Came across this video, very nicely explained. Thanks a lot. Do you have to take any sort permission, caution to fly drones in Andaman? Can you fly DJI mini drones (
Thanks. You cannot fly anywhere near port blair obviously because the airport is quite closeby. Drone flying is strictly not allowed in Lakshmanpur beach 2, jarawa forest range, jolly bouy etc. My suggestion is to get up as early as possible, walk a kilometer away from the crowd and fly the drone. Try not to fly over crowded places and popular spots.
@SakreCubes please tell me how did you manage to cross the airport check..do they check drones after arrival at veersankar airport...and i have heard a girl who missed flight due to drone..shoud i dare to bring drone to andaman or drop it?? Please reply
Can you plzz let me know...can we cover kayaking, Scuba diving and other water activities at elephanta beach in one day??...waiting for your valuable reply...or else can you plzz provide me the timings of scuba divings at govind nagar beach...plzz reply
You can do bioluminescence kayaking followed by scuba then move to elephant been for other water sports. The scuba is best done between 6am-9am. Do inquire if bioluminescence is visible at the time of your visit, otherwise you can skip it or do a sunrise/sunset kayaking
Yes, definitely. October to mid jan the weather will be pleasant and best time to visit Andaman. Usually islands are hot and humid, so plan accordingly to protect from sun!
It was Rs 5,500. You may get it for cheaper price also but make sure to go with a good operator. Check our Andaman Travel Guide video for more budget details
It totally depends! If you can plan yourself and have time then you can do it on own. Sometimes, it also good to take the travel agencies as they will provide you good cost. IMO, you should have a budget calculation and compare both options. With travel agencies, you can choose and get a customised itinerary instead of the regular packages, which can save money.
Yes, Andaman capital Port Blair has the "Veer savarkar" airport. Currently flights are available from Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata. In November, the flights from Malaysia to Andaman are also available, so the travels can be clubbed in one go!
True! You can take a customised tour package instead. We had chosen scooter for local commute which gave freedom to move around quickly. For day trips like baratang and jolly bouy, package helped

Witha 3yo it may be even more difficult. We didn’t explore Diglipur due to time constraints. If you are visiting Andaman for less than 9days. Then you can skip it.
