    I am back finally. Feeling good to get back to work and start sharing videos with you. Today is a quick (well a bit long) video explaining how I photograph shoes for a client. Any questions or requests are more than welcome.

    thanks for sharing. I was doing the same work. after a couple of years, client decided to hire an intern, and for a third of the price he took my job. hahah. good for him.

    • @GeorgiPetrov
      @GeorgiPetrov  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. We all suffer from low prices. With every year is getting harder and harder to keep up with the price cut. Big companies can afford intern and small businesses don't want to pay the real price. It's a hard job.

    this is great thanks for sharing - wonder about your decision to use a mix of flash and LED - would a big LED top light work for you or 2 flash at the front instead of LED? Im still trying ideas to get my preferred setup so interested to see you mixing flash and LED

    • @GeorgiPetrov
      @GeorgiPetrov  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, John. I have changed the setup recently. The led panels I used where to trow some reflection on the shoes. However, I realise the flash really overpower everything. The new setup is a top light as per the original and now have another flash on the front. Is on the top left or right of my camera and use the same power as the top Speedlight. The only difference is I am using a great so I can control the light. I may do a new video for this setup.

      Thanks for the video, alot of good info! I found when mixing neewer LED and flash the LED introduced a green tint, minor, but enough to make it a problem. Now I use godox VL so I can do some product photography and video at the same time.

    I have shoe stores and I'm planning to make my own studio for shooting. But first I'll go in some course for that. Can you please tell which camera models are good for that kind of job and what camera lenses do I need?

    • @GeorgiPetrov
      @GeorgiPetrov  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You don't need a costly camera. I shoot on Sony now, but I used Canon when recording this tutorial. If you use the images for the web, only a crop sensor camera is more than enough. When it comes to lenses, I always prefer to use prime lenses with fixed focal lengths. If your studio is small, I will suggest anything from 16mm to 50mm. If you have more space, 90mm macro or 100mm macro is a very good option.

    I'm planning on getting into e-commerce... is this something that should be outsourced or do you recommend the average person taking this up as a hobby@

    • @GeorgiPetrov
      @GeorgiPetrov  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is entirely up to you. You can take it as a hobby and slowly build up if you start getting busy and require more investments. I start out as a hobby before turning it into a business. There are enough tutorials to teach every aspect so you can grow and progress in time.

    I can't find where to buy the Black/White Vynil Backdrop here in US. Does anyone have an idea?

    • @GeorgiPetrov
      @GeorgiPetrov  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Try to look for a paper backdrop. I know it is not ideal because you can't clean it, but it is a good start. Also, check companies offering vinyl. You may find something and use it as a backdrop.

    Здравейте г-н Петров. Имам няколко въпроса. Същата схема за осветление може ли да се ползва и за по големи продукти като столове, канапета или детски колички, ниска мебел и тн? Съответно два моноблока за фон и един съответно на жираф за остление от горе. В случая при вас продукта може директно да се качи в съответния магазин за продажба. Но ако е да кажем черен и се налага да се смени фона с друг цвят тогава ще стане твърде светъл ръб и за да не се отделя много време за ретуш предполагам ще е добре да се отсече по време на снимките с черен флат борд. Относно обективите смятате ли че 50mm 1.4 Art на Sigma ще ми даде на затворена бленда f8 - f13 нещо повече от Nikon 50mm 1.8G качени на Nikon D850? Благодаря. Хубав ден.

    • @GeorgiPetrov
      @GeorgiPetrov  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Здрасти. Същата схема ще работи с големи продукти но аз бих използвал голям хартиен фон или бял платнен. Също е добре да използваш две осветителни тела отгоре със малък ъгъл да покрият цялата композиция.
      Може да използваш червен борд но също пробвай първо със поларайзед филтър (Circular Polarizing Filter) да помогне със рефлектиране на светлината.
      За обектива не съм сигурен. Не съм ползвал Никон но имам опит със Сигма и те са добри. Аз бих използвал 90мм или 100мм макро ако снимам по големи продукти но зависи колко е голямо студиото. За малко пространство 50мм 1.4 ще е по добре.

      Благодаря за отговора. C-Stand, който използвате колко голям софт бокс може да носи като диаметър? В процес на избор съм и за момента съм се спрял на 150 см октабокс.

    Raw or jpg?

    • @GeorgiPetrov
      @GeorgiPetrov  ปีที่แล้ว

      I always shot RAW but deliver JPG to clients. If they want the RAW it will cost them far too much.
