After doing a few knots, I figured out how to do the exact thing by making a loop and running the board through it! I made a great rope "ladder" to hang my embroidered towels on at craft shows! Plan to use it tomorrow! Will hang this rope ladder from my canopy. This will take up practically no space in my car while a regular ladder wouldn't fit! Thank you so much for this tutorial!

2:42 mayby do that second loop first twisting then take first loop under just twisting. so basically its just 2 times twist then fold. no need extra holding and moving behind another. its even two time twisting same way HAHA yes its knot. can done without never release first(your second than you fold behind) mayby you show this in later, but dont think not lol. you can even do it one hand. so another hand can do same thing reversed other side

Which knot would be more secure...the knot you use Constrictor Knot or Marlin Spike Knot? Tying the top ends to the tree, would you use a cow hitch?

I think the constrictor knot is much more secure, but it is quite hard to untie. Probably impossible to untie after loading it.

It won’t hurt to add your voice in the video too?

Constrictor knot. At least the title says so.

you could use a roll of electrical tape to keep all the knots tight and in place , then it will be ready for long term storage , like a fire escape or something

2:36 why hold rope with finger if release it later. could just do it another loop directly behind

What you could've said is what rope and thickness you used in the test 🤷‍♂️

its just repeated clove hitch knots
(Edit: search up marlin spike hitch knot for rope ladder)

No Anaconda is rather similar to clove hitch but the working end goes over the standing end after the first loop and then in between. The difference is dramatic. Anaconda as the name suggest is tightening and very hard to undo while clove is more loose and easy to undo. Anaconda is better than spike hitch is you want your ladder to be permanent.
